Revolution saw the highest absolute gains adding an extra 1.6 to its adults 18-49 rating with 3 days of DVR viewing.

But at the end of the day, will these matter in a shows renewal or cancellation?
Only if the people who watch the show via DVR watch the commercials.
there’s a lot of data that doesn’t factor much or at all into a show’s renewal prospects that people are still interested in like total viewers and DVR numbers.

What is difference between L+3 and C+3? The networks are getting paid for C+3, right?
@Lenka: L + anything = program ratings which also include any commercial viewing. C+3 only measures average commercial viewing. All of the ratings you see posted on our site and elsewhere are program ratings. The C3 ratings rarely are seen out in the wild.
As Herb asked, does DVR numbes ever really help to make a difference to renewal or cancellation?
I can’t remember as much of an emphasis on L+3 last year. It maked looking at the L+7 useless.

@Herb Finn: Well, unless a show significantly jumps over another one, AND people watch commercials, meaning the network is getting paid for it, this shouldn’t help much, if at all.
So, let’s say, if Partners is still dead last on the CBS lineup, even with higher numbers it will be canceled.
