Update: Once Upon a Time fell to a 3.3 preliminary adults 18-49 rating, almost all of those voting in the poll were too optimistic.

Last week, Once Upon A Time debuted to a big 3.9 adults 18-49 rating. The question is whether the show can keep up the ratings fairytale now that the characters are aware of their true identities. In its favor: tonight's episode features the return of Barbara Hershey as Regina's mother and was written by sci fi/fantasy fan favorite Jane Espenson. Make your predictions now and check back tomorrow to see if the all-powerful Nielsen wizard agreed with you.

Once Upon A Time and REVENGE were both consistently fantastic last night.

Also, the 2nd episode of 666 Park Avenue was much better than the Pilot episode.

Revenge seems like it’s a really strong seller on iTunes, already taking the #1 spot like it did last week, which it held for quite a few days well. Hope it keeps this up, because Season 2 is shaping up to be even better than Season 1 already. And Season 1 was soooooooo good!

  • SJ

666 PA dipped by 30% in the overnights. If that translates to demo, it’s looking at a ~1.5. It is now stone cold dead.

Once was down 14%, Revenge 12%. They should be just fine.

I don’t know if it’ll ever get up into the 4s (maybe for a great season finale later) but OUAT is still awesome and people will still watch. Maybe more people than last season if they caught up on missed episodes over the summer (or right now). Great stuff.

what’s that for OUAT? 3.6-3.5? that’s still great! watched the first couple of episodes of revenge. couldn’t care less about it. Emily Vancamp is good in it, and a few others, but as a whole it has dreadful actors and/or characters.

One of the most honest things I can say is to give Revenge more of a chance. normally I’m that annoying guy that only watches critically acclaimed shows (like mad men, breaking bad, fringe, homeland, modern family, etc) and although revenge isn’t exactly critic acclaimed (except for Madeleine Stowe and some others) I can honestly say that it developed into one of my favorite new shows last year by far. I can also honestly say that, other than Fringe, Revenge was probably the show I was most looking forward to this year. just give it a bigger chance. I promise it’ll blow you away. :)

    I bet 3.5 for OUAT
    3.9 again can’t be. Football

  • DSC

I will. It’s not that it’s critically acclaimed or not, believe me, I’m the guy who loves all those you mentioned, but also Boston Legal, and fringe and some others, that although garned some awards were always sidetracked by the public. at least the ones with Nielsen Boxes. I don’t know how Revenge has developed past the first couple of shows, but I found the pilot extremely boring. Great intro and great closing, but all the scenes in between with the big party and the guy who “lost his boat” and all that nonesense just made for a big snore. It felt to me like a bunch of spoiled characters talking about things that weren’t real or at least engaging problems. OUAT, as fantastic and fantasy driven as it is, has that. So does Fringe. They might be here, or in another universe, or in 2036, but the things that they talk about sound important and interesting. Maybe that’s the writing? I don’t know. Say what you will about DH or Brothers and sisters, but those still had at its center 5 or 6 season actors to offset its shortcomings. Other than Emily Vancamp I never heard of any of the people on Revenge. Frankly it felt a little bit like that dreadful “Harper’s Island” Mini-Series that FOX(?) tried a couple of years ago. A bunch of spoiled teens or 20 somethings talking about uninteresting problems. But I’ll give it more of a shot.

    OUAT got a 3.3, but Revenge got a 2.6 :( and 666 got a 1.7!

  • MattM

I was one of the few that was right. No disrespect to the show, I just don’t watch and I’m sick of everyone fawning over it.

  • JR

So, if it adjusts up to a 3.4 in the finals, that would be roughly a 13% dip, which wouldn’t be too bad.

Bothe second seasons are better than their firsts!!!

Haha ok sounds good! I do agree that it started out a little slow, but once it gets its footing it really does get good. The pilot was really just setting up the characters, but it gets more streamlined as it gets further into the story, and the finale was ridiculously outstanding. I actually did really enjoy DH. I didn’t watch Brothers and Sisters but my mom loved it. I also just finally forced myself to watch the series finale of Weeds last night :( I had been putting it off for way too long because I didn’t want to see it go haha.

I was right about OUAT rating prediction .I voted less than<3.5

Once Upon A Time – 3.7 (First season dropped from a 4.1 to 3.9 between first two episodes)
Revenge – 2.5 (First season dropped from a 3.3 to a 2.7 between first two episodes)
666 Park Avenue – 1.9 (Pan Am dropped from a 3.1 to a 2.6 between first two episodes)

Once Upon A Time premiered to a 4.0.
And Revenge went from a 6.2 lead-in to a 3.x lead-in for its first 2 episodes. There’s no drop like that here.

  • Temis

I knew OUat had to drop, but that was a bit more than I’d thought since by this point, people either know they like it or not, right? Still getting sampling the second season?
