SP, you will notice that suiko has not responded to my posts about the Brett Baier special. I asked specific questions in a respectful way but got no answer. This is typical of suiko–can’t back up the accusations he makes. He often denies he said things that are in his posts. There is no discussing with suiko or jeffie. It is agree with them or get cussed out.
BTW SP the special was not one sided. I worked for EPA for 32 years. I have a degree in chemical engineering and have written more air standards than anyone who has worked at EPA. I have dealt with industries and environmental groups and have seen how they operate. I have been there thru dems and repubs. Neither is perfect but the dems are the ones who ignore science and economics if the answer doesn’t fit their political agenda. Repubs have done this to but not nearly to the extent that the dems have. The enforcement offices are the main offices under control of the environmental groups, both the enforement office in DC and the regional enforcement groups. I get a kick out of people like Jeffie saying repubs don’t believe in science. If the dems relied on science rather than their wacky political policies things like Times Beach would never have happened. Staff engineers were unanimous in recommendations not to evacuate Times Beach. The levels of dioxin were never at dangerous levels. Jeffie and whoever’s blog he relied on don’t know beans(that as nice as I can put it). This topic for me is like Coffee and the MSM, he knows how it works and knows what the MSM has become. I know EPA and know how they work. Bret’s report was spot on especially about the EPA’s mission creep. It did alot of good work in the first 15 years and still does good work but now it is more a political based agency than science based. BTW, what the heck does Jeffie know about science, air pollution, hazardous air pollutants, solid waste, water runoff and climate change. He knows nothing except what he gets from his far left wacky web sites.
One last thing, I don’t want to sound like Jeffie, the elitist but I want to mention some of my experience since it is pertinent to the discussion.(Kind of knowing Wink Martindale is not pertinent to anything). I have written, proposed and promulgated stds for internal combustion engines( stationary not mobile), gas turbines, chemical storage tanks(focused mainly on Benzene), chemical industry(both vents and equipment leaks), coke ovens(part of steel industry), copper smelters, lead smelters, stone crushing and many more. This topic I know and won’t waste my time arguing with someone as ignorant on the topic as Jeffie. I gave suiko a chance to have a discussion but he decided to disappear. Thanks for listening SP.
The Pew poll is devastating, just devastating. Before the debate, Obama had a 51 – 43 lead; now, Romney has a 49 – 45 lead. That’s a simply unprecedented reversal for a candidate in October. Before Obama had leads on every policy issue and personal characteristic; now Romney leads in almost all of them. Obama’s performance gave Romney a 12 point swing! I repeat: a 12 point swing.
DB
Time Beach was a land grab . I live in St Louis Mo Area, Kirkwood
Doug, I think I agreed with your assessment earlier. This was a politically based decision having nothing to do with science or keeping people safe. The State has a nice park now that apparently all the dioxin (that wasn’t there to begin with) has disappeared.
DB
The Gov now owns the whole river. the Goal was to take the river . It has worked.
@DB
All I said was…..
I thought Bret Baier was suppose to be the news guy that was fair and balanced over at Fox News, until I read the upcoming show he’s going to have…..
Preview Bret Baier’s Fox News Reporting Special – ‘Behind Obama’s Green Agenda’
Does Obama have radical “green” roots? Bret Baier travels across America, revealing rogue regulators, tracing the truth about the president’s environmental agenda and exposing programs that could devastate our economy!
I might actually watch this. How dare we try to save our environment!
I said this before the program aired. The title of the headline proves itself. We all know that you have to be all over me in here, so I’ll just let it continue, I’m flattered as always. Even SP disagrees with you, no I will say yet again, go back to your little hole.
@DB
Go back to calling people, their girlfriends and their businesses names. That’s all you are good at.
It’s science DB, it hurts your brain. So this biased Fox report that you simply claim is FOR REAL according to you. But seen by many experts as mostly false, that it lacks factual reporting on so many levels. S.Papa watched it and clearly seems to have a much higher IQ than you, and far more integrity to be able to admit it seemed to be a stretch.
This is not your made up “Sunday school class room.” Where you think people have to believe you.
This is not the oil change shop you got fired from. Where you think you are all-knowing.
When are you going to learn? Leave me out of your remarks, and spill your filth to those that will tolerate you. But if you so choose to take your jabs I will call you out on your lies and ignorance.
I wonder when DB will BEG for my forgiveness again for saying vile things. He’s already acknowledged how vile he is for asking for it once….
Fox’s hour-long special painted a one-sided picture of environmental regulations, featuring 18 critics and only 1 supporter of EPA clean air and water rules. Fox interviewed three Republican politicians, an industry executive, a radio host, and five coal miners, but not a single scientist, Democratic member of Congress, or environmental group to discuss the threats of air pollution and global warming.
Fox focused the first segment of its special on former regional EPA administrator Al Armendariz, who resigned after a political firestorm erupted over an analogy he made in 2010 comparing his environmental enforcement strategy to Roman crucifixion. Although he clearly stated that he was referring only to companies that were “not compliant with the law,” Fox once again took his comments out of context to suggest that the EPA targets oil and gas companies unnecessarily.
Do I need to copy and paste more DB so I can shut you up, or are you going to keep blabbering that fat mouth of yours?
Obama’s 10 percentage point lead (47%-37%) in a poll conducted last month by EPIC-MRA of Lansing dropped to 3 points (48% to 45%),
I see hate and disrespect on both sides here. I think both side are being childish. Is this what happens when I leave. I am going to have to take all of you to the woodshed.
Come on people now . Love one another right now.
@Dougz
Funny how every time it happens it’s when DB chimes in…..things that make you go HMMMMMMMMMM!!!
@doug Z you are a good guy, stop saying its on both sides. It’s clearly not!
Jeff
turn the other cheek
I am not the moderator . I come in everybody is fighting.
My mom use to say . I am not looking for justice. I want peace now!
Guys and girls I am going to bed. Goodnight. Do not kill each other.
Mark – Republicans constantly bitch about the debt(which I believe is a fair argument), do they realize over half of it(and probably closer to 10T) was spent on military/defense spending over the past 35 years?
————————
How can you say defense spending caused the debt? Defense is NOT the only thing we spent money on over the last 35 years. We are 16T in debt & between 8-10 of that is defense spending? We’re spending more on pensions 17%, healthcare 18% & remainder 25% than defense. Eduction 14%, defense 14% & welfare 12%.
What does your chart prove? (on Thursday’s page) Ask any reasonable economists or representative what’s going to bankrupt America & see how many say defense spending.

@Mark
Romney lied about Obamas medicaid plan on stage at the debate. I already said this, DB just fails to acknowledge it.
——————–
He (DB) as do i want to know what Willard lied about. I can say Suikostinger lied…what does that prove? If you give no details how can anybody know if he did or didn’t lie? You gonna start your posting something & not backing it up again? Tell folks its out there go look it up yourself?
Erin Burnett’s 11pm show beat her 7pm show.
@ Sicilian Papa
AppleStinx is picking on me. Can you send a couple of your “friends” over to his house?
