How Will 'Revolution' Fare Tonight? (Poll)

Update: most of those voting in the poll got it right, a preliminary 3.1 adults 18-49 rating for the episode on Monday, October 8, 2012.

Revolution may have been picked up for a full season, but its still going to need to keep up a strong performance if its going to make it to the holy grail of so-called "genre" television: a second season. While the premiere had a strong performance, the show has been dipping steadily each week (last week saw it dip to a 3.2 after the previous week's 3.4 adults 18-49 rating), which could become an issue if the trend continues. So what do you think? Cast your vote and tell us why in the comments!

    2.7

    3.0 and 8.3M

I was thinking 2.8 but I’ll go with 2.4. They must have laid off their panel of scientist-advisors after the first scene of the pilot.

  • bk109

Slightly bellow 3.0 due to the mounting plot inconsistencies, the somewhat shaky acting (*cough* Charlie *cough*).

  • Mike

    3-3.2 .
And it will keep those numbers for the rest of the season. It’s a great show and it is getting better each week.

The preview looked terrible but I think most people give shows at least 5 eps before really making up their minds. Of course those 5 eps may not all be in a row…lol

    >Nobody in their right mind expects Revolution to get a 2.4 rating.

I do. Before the season is over anyway.

  • CrimTV

Don’t wanna be too optimistic! But I think it’s starting to level out, Castle and Hawaii Five-0 don’t seem to be rising much and the competition is pretty low, yes with The Voice now in battle rounds ratings will drop slightly but with CBS failing, ABC failing, Fox failing and The CW won’t impact Revolution’s ratings it hopefully will stay above 3.0!

  • Melanie

    3.0 – 3.2 stablizing at this level

I think you’re way off with 5 episodes. I’d put it closer to a max of 2 with the majority making up their minds after 30 minutes. In the case of Revolution it’s probably even less given the awfulness of the leads and the ridiculous plot.

It’ll stay above 3.0 & I can’t be the only person that watches RVN & not Voice. I think it should stabilize & not drop much further so anyone who doesn’t like it by now has already given up on it. I feel quite confident that if Smash which is rated a lot lower gets a 2nd season I’m certain RVN will get renewed also.

I feel that after last weeks up & down episode it will hover around 3.0-3.3. I don’t feel the need to tune in as it’s on (Hulu Plus the morning after is perfectly acceptable for me), and that’s going to be a problem for viewers, as well as an NYC MNF game (even if the team is doing terrible, they are still on Tebow Watch).

Gossip Girl will premiere down from last year, because, let’s face it, nobody likes a show that reverts back to season one after five seasons have been completed. 90210 was on life support last year, and doesn’t look to be any different this year.

    GG – 0.6-0.8
    90210 – 0.5-0.7

  • HB

    3.0 for Revolution

  • Alex

    3.0-3.1
Jets & Tebow will pull a lot of people. This will draw people all game especially if its a blow out.

@HavingADomestic79, if it weren’t a ‘scifi’ show I might agree, but scifi fans tend to live in hope that a scifi show will get ‘better’ if they just give it more time to find its legs. We’re a notoriously forgiving bunch. lol

  • The End

    @cimmer

Doesn’t apply to all Scifi shows. People are quick to abandon a failing show when they realise it’s heading nowhere and its position is not unlike the Titanics. They simply jump ship before the show dies.

See Stargate Universe and a few others.

2.8 – I do acklowledge my possible delusion in picking the numbers with the intese dislike I have for this show as the main factor.

  • Ashley

@Dillan Your GG predictions are way off. The last 3 seasons have been horrible and most of the audience is no longer interested. They’re lucky if they get anything above a 0.5

  • Kyle

I’m being more realistic, so i guess it will score a 2.9 and maybe stabilizing in the next weeks. GG will premire to a 0.6-0.8 and if the season is good, then there’s a good chance that the series finale will get a 0.9. 90210 will get a 0.7-0.8.
