Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC (NFL Football), & CBS/FOX (NFL Overrun) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

NBC was number one among adults 18-49  and with total viewers.

On NBC, Sunday Night Football (Chargers/Saints)  from 8:30-11:00PM earned a 6.2 adults 18-49  rating, down from last week's 9.0 18-49 rating

The premiere of The Cleveland Show earned a 2.2, up from last year's premiere, which earned a 1.8 rating. Bob's Burgers scored a 2.3 among adults 18-49, down from last week's 2.6. Once Upon A Time garnered a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating, down six tenths from last week's 3.9 premiere rating. Most of your predictions were too optimistic.  Revenge earned a 2.6, also down six tenths from last week's 3.2 adults 18-49 rating. 666 Park Avenue scored a 1.7, down half a ratings point from last week's 2.2 rating

On CBS, 60 Minutes earned a 3.8 adults 18-49 rating, up from last week's 1.7 rating, but likely inflated due to the preceding overrun. The Amazing Race was even with last week's 2.5 rating. The Good Wife garnered a 1.7, down a tenth from last week's 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and the lowest fall telecast rating ever for the series. The Mentalist earned a series low 1.6 after last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @ Ultima

60 Minutes benefited from its lead in, football. It also benefited from the show following it, The Amazing Race.

Put The Mentalist in that 60 Minutes slot, and I would expect The Mentalist’s ratings to be just as good as 60 Minutes is. Put 60 Minutes on at 10:30pm, and I would expect the ratings to be far worse than the Mentalists are in that time period.

  • Ryan

Good episode of Revenge and The Good Wife last night. Wish they weren’t on at the same time. Anyway TGW writers better start wrapping it up.

  • Kaylie

Go Family Guy!!! Seems like Sunday & Wednesday is the only legitimate Fox nights.

  • Phill

Damn, Mohasanie, has a point. Family Guy only has 5-10 years left before cancellation! They should watch their step!

  • Phill

This is the only place online that starts mourning shows long before May upfronts. There’s no reason to believe TGW won’t be back, or at least shuttled off to Fridays. It’s the only prestigious drama they have and they have shifted their Sunday start times officially for the first time in decades to protect shows like this from viewers missing them.

  • Ultima

CBS has kept 60 Minutes in the same timeslot for 37 years, any expectation that it is going to be moved is silly and futile.

It’s not pulling in 30 million viewers a week anymore, but it’s still the top newsmagazine and does well with Adults 25-54.

Also, The Amazing Race is stable behind it and it’s not like CBS is going to put expensive scripted programming on during the Sunday 7pm hour.

  • Phill

Ram, Scandal will make into syndication. Unless Grey’s starts to tank, it will get the same free ride Privates Practice got.

  • TVGuy

What the hell happened with The Simpsons?! Treehouse of Horror episodes are usually really high rated! And OUAT was really low too compared to usual. Less people watching TV I guess. My god!

  • The End

@OUAT was really low too compared to usual.

From episode 9 onwards of Once Upon a Time the show was receiving between 8-10 million viewers, 2.8-3.1 18-49, with the occasional 3.3-4(Twice).

Absolutely shocking how so many people seem to forget the numbers the show received it Season 1. It’s almost as if some kind of curse has been inflicted upon the less informed fans, causing them to forget the numbers it received last season.

  • Moose

    @ Ultima

Probably not, 60 Minutes is there to stay, but CBS can’t honestly think that they can stick an hour long drama starting at 10:30pm EST and have it do well.

I am just not a 60 minutes fan.

  • kul65

I really, really hope that Mentalist rating is just a result of the half-hour delay. It’s just two more seasons away from its established goal and I’d hate to see it trip on the finish line. :(

  • Rich

Revenge will not get cancelled. It has younger viewers then the good wife and they want enough episodes for syndication and dvd sales.

  • Nadine

Boy that Brady-Manning matchup sure drew viewers!! (Go Pats!)

  • eridapo
  • Nick

:-( @OUAT. I’m pretty confident that it will be adjusted up, though. (and 666 down)
Once and Revenge are safe, considering the only drama beating them on ABC is Grey’s.
666 and Last Resort are getting pretty similar ratings. I think LR has the upper hand because of its time slot.

  • The End

What’s your point exactly? I was using that as a point of reference for my comments here regarding the ratings. Is there some kind of hidden meaning behind posting a link to a website I’m aware of already. Do tell.

Fact remains, the numbers were between 8-10 million, 2.8-3.1 for the back half of Season 1.

How people can even say the numbers are majorly down is beyond me. No one compares to the first few episodes of the first season for reference, you look at the overall average.

Unfortunately, some people seem unable to explain themselves, either through ignorance, or simply not knowing how to. Pity really as I made the effort to respond to some people.

  • Alex

Wake me up if OUAT drops 6/10 every week till the midseason break. Until then I’m not concerned.

  • Bob

You were nowhere to be found the last two weeks when Scandal as always was a disaster. Revenge is STILL doing better than Scandal as it is not a surprise. Scandal is the biggest bore ever. It loses half it lead in show. They both will be renewed by the way.

  • eridapo

    @ the end

Just added a link to your post for those who wanted to verify the numbers.

  • Tom

I thought OUAT and Revenge were infinitely worth watching. However, anyone who believe ABC is going to cancel either one just because they dropped a few demo points from last week is nuts. That’s because there’s no reason to believe that ABC has any programs to draw on that would score higher ratings. Moreover, I haven’t seen any evidence to suggest that football is attracting viewers away from either program. So, before you start making cancellation predictions, try to conjure up some scenario under which cancelling OUAT or Revenge actually makes sense.
