Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Just a quick question…wasn’t The Mentalist already renewed for a 6th season? I thought I saw that somewhere. Would CBS cancel a show they already renewed for the next season?
Great numbers for OUAT and Revenge; they’ll be adjusted up
@scifi yeah so less people will watch it.
@Max
Well, The Walking Dead didn’t have much of an effect on Desperate Housewives’ ratings last year, so I don’t see why it would have any effect on Revenge’s ratings.
TGW started late in Fl. 932pm instead of 9pm..
The Good Wife and The Mentalist still beat the Friday shows by a comfortable margin, so I hope that if they stabilize CBS will try them on Fridays next season. Well, especially The Good Wife which still has stories to tell instead of endlessly repeating the same old, tired formula episode after episode. Sorry Mentalist !
As for ABC, unless Revenge takes a HUGE dive later this season, I just can’t see it cancelled anytime soon. 666 Park Avenue, on the other hand, doesn’t deserve to stay longer than Pan Am did last season.
Once Upon a Time is doing good but it won’t grow from last season, so I hope it doesn’t decline too much, but I’m pretty sure this show will at least reach season 5 with ratings like these.
I hope The Walking Dead doesn’t hurt Family Guy, American Dad
and Revenge next week.
Revenge is BETTER show than scandal no doubt about that. BUT ABC make mistake moving revenge at 9.
ABC will be 4 network and this year. Bad for them.
Man if ABC’s trigger happy move hurts Revenge I’d be pissed.
Stick the show were it can do well (like at 10:00 pm) and we’ll follow it. Just don’t put it up against mammoths like Sunday Night Football and expect it to perform miracles.
@CSI Miami was so much stronger in this timeslot…
Yes, it WAS.
OUAT always gets adjusted up, at least a tenth. So I’m guessing finals will be around 3.4 and 9.9M.
Good for Revenge though. 2.7 and 8.3M is good. Hopefully this season it can stay above a 2.3 and 7.5M. Finals for Revenge will be around 2.8 and 8.6M. If it gets adjusted up.
I didn’t think Once Upon A Time would be down so much, but still good numbers. Not many scripted shows are getting infer a 3.0. However last night was an excellent episode probably the best of the series!
Shocked that the Fox cartoons weren’t down too much
The dvr ratings for TM should be big.
Ratings are down across the borad — something many commentors fail to grasp.
Revenge premiered to a 3.3 and then fell 0.6 to a 2.7 last year- this was expected no worries for revenge
This is a bit random, but these are my bubble watch rankings that I believe.

Actually Bad Wolf, last night’s episode of The Mentalist was quite different. It has undergone a shift in tone, and it seems they are going to be telling different stories this year.
Sadly dead. I kind of laugh at the delusional people that still think TM can survived in this slot.
I love TM, and it pains me that people are arguing strongly about the change and the ratings. If it’s not that, is shipping.. GOD I miss TM S1 on Tuesdays.
Butterfly Effect: I blame it on Shane Brennan and CBS wanting to reproduce and (cash on Bellisario’s success) treating NCIS like CSI… PLEASE! >.<
So glad The Mentalist is DYING!
Rot in television hell you horrible show!!
Max,
You are so passionate and though I clearly love Scandal more than Revenge, I don’t see either show going soon. Revenge is going to come back down to reality soon. The first episode had GREAT ratings but Revenge was not a show averaging in the 3.0′s or the higher 2.0′s. It will be going back down to the mid to lower 2.0′s like it was during most of its previous season.
Scandal is at a standstill and that makes it one of the better rated 10pm shows for ABC right now; though not by a high number but still it’s steadier than all of them. I’m waiting for the verdict on Nashville since it has been HYPED major time. I do wonder if the people on here will go as hard on it if the numbers aren’t into the higher 2.0′s and lower 3.0′s. We get complaints about Scandals number because of Grey but Nashville will have a Modern Family lead (higher numbers than Grey) and I expect it to show. Though i won’t say if it will since Apt.23 was getting okay numbers with its Modern Family lead in, at one point.
Anyways, Can’t wait to the next episode but sad it will be two more weeks. I worry for Last Resort since it will lack the Grey show behind it.
