Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC (NFL Football), & CBS/FOX (NFL Overrun) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

NBC was number one among adults 18-49  and with total viewers.

On NBC, Sunday Night Football (Chargers/Saints)  from 8:30-11:00PM earned a 6.2 adults 18-49  rating, down from last week's 9.0 18-49 rating

On FOX,The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror special earned a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating, down last week's 3.8 premiere rating. The premiere of The Cleveland Show earned a 2.2, up from last year's premiere, which earned a 1.8 rating. Bob's Burgers scored a 2.3 among adults 18-49, down from last week's 2.6. Family Guy earned a 3.4, up from last week's 3.3 rating. American Dad garnered a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating, also up from last week's 2.5 rating.

On ABC, the season premiere of America's Funniest Home Videos earned a 1.5 adults 18-49, flat with last season's premiere. Once Upon A Time garnered a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating, down six tenths from last week's 3.9 premiere rating. Most of your predictions were too optimistic.  Revenge earned a 2.6, also down six tenths from last week's 3.2 adults 18-49 rating. 666 Park Avenue scored a 1.7, down half a ratings point from last week's 2.2 rating

On CBS, 60 Minutes earned a 3.8 adults 18-49 rating, up from last week's 1.7 rating, but likely inflated due to the preceding overrun. The Amazing Race was even with last week's 2.5 rating. The Good Wife garnered a 1.7, down a tenth from last week's 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and the lowest fall telecast rating ever for the series. The Mentalist earned a series low 1.6 after last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Nice job Fox comedies, maybe now FOx will consider ordering more Cleveland Show. ABC shows are down and while I wouldnt count out Revenge, 666 Park Avenue is in trouble. On the bright side it beat The Mentalist which is showing signs of age and hurting because of the low rated Good Wife lead in which is still unable to be sold into syndication.

CBS I know you own The Good Wife and WB owns The Mentalist but please flip the shows.

  • Andy

Really hope OUAT and Revenge are adjusted up!

  • Andrea

I still believe it’s realisticly too early to call renewal chances on most shows (except new ones that are drastically under performing.) Ratings are down across the board, more so in the 10pm time slot and it’s not realistic for any network to cancel the majority of their line up. Though, there are some shows which will obvioulsy not be around next year.

  • MoHasanie

Well, from the half hours, OUAT should be adjusted up. Revenge might get adjusted up.

Interesting that both OUAT and Revenge fell by the same amount. Maybe ratings were high last week cause people were tuning in after such heavy promotion by ABC?

  • julian

Are you delusionnal ? revenge getting cancelled and scandal still on air ?
Have you seen their rating for the new season and even the 1rst one?????? ? .., PLEASE try that again max

  • Bookworm

For the record,CBS tanked the Good Wife and the Mentalist. I think it should have stayed on Thursday and Elementary should have went to Sunday.

  • mort

The Mentalist is on the wrong night and time. they screwed with success and look what they got. dumb move.

  • ShawnM

TM’s fate will be decided in February, not in October. It’s pretty obvious that the football overruns have a negative impact on the following shows on CBS. The lack of continuity and uncertain start times kill the entire night for CBS, although, to be fair, they wouldn’t be able to draw a 3.2 among adults 18-49 without the football overrun, so making the other shows suffer in the process might actually be worth it.

Walking dead is going to cream the competetion next Sun @ 9:00 (except FB)

  • joss

Family guy is top scripted show … awesome

  • HotLatino4GayMarriage

Revene fans pay no attention to Mile he obvs gets a kick out of trolling, don’t fall for it.

  • Eridapo

    @ Matt

Look at the half hours for Revenge. It did not go up in the demo, and it lost viewers. There was no overrun either, so an adjustment is unlikely.

  • Ram510

I too agree that Scandal is a better show than Revenge, but lets be honest at this point Revenge is in no danger

Even though Scandal was the top rated 10pm show for ABC this week, it’s numbers are still low and it’s very close to falling below a 2.0 with a big Greys lead in. I’m sure ABC is going to want to try a new show in that time slot mid season

But I’m going to enjoy Scandal while it last

  • Susan

Can’t wait until next week when The Walking Dead comes to kill everything. If you think these ratings are horrible, wait til next weekend! LMAO

  • Mike

I guess the CBS experiment of pushing everything back a half hour (planned) helped, TAR was delayed 2 minutes last night, started at 8:32.

I haven’t watched “666 Park Avenue” from last night yet, but figures, it seems the shows that make people think are the ones that don’t get ratings.

  • Greg

Wow, The Mentalist is dying. I think they should move The Good Wife to the 10pm slot (nothing CBS ever airs on this slot does any good so might as well just stick a low rated show there) and move The Mentalist to Fridays next season.

  • Mon

The Mentalist was so good and unique last night. Simon Baker did fantastic. Patrick Jane’s last scene with his daughter and the final scene of the episode were heartbreaking.

  • Jubilife

Revenge had such a good return last night! I don’t know why the hell this show isn’t performing better! ABC needs to think of when they want to air it, and KEEP it in the same spot the whole damn season!
