Yep, I guess when you are busy with Letterman and The View and Vegas and hangin with your Hollywood suck ups, the unimportant stuff gets delayed and depersonalized! Oh wait he did call Sandra Fluke though!
Father of fallen Marine upset by president’s letter
A man who lost a son to the war in Afghanistan is disappointed in the condolence letter he received from President Barack Obama.
Tom Logan, a Willis resident, calls the note late, impersonal, disrespectful and essentially a form letter.
“It opened up a wound in our heart you can’t fix. You can’t send another letter. You can’t make it right,” Logan said.
Logan’s son, USMC Cpl. Joseph D. Logan, was killed Jan. 19, 2012, along with five other men when the helicopter they were in crashed.
Joey Logan was 22.
“He would have been more mad about this than I am,” Tom Logan said.
Tom Logan said he believes Obama did little more than sign his name to the document. He believes his son deserved more.
Local 2 Investigates examined two other letters sent by Obama to families of soldiers killed in action. The one-page typed condolence letters were identical other than names, ranks and service branches.
There is no standard or written protocol that we could find dealing with presidential condolence letters.
“Different presidents have approached the task in ways that are unique with their personalities and their priorities,” University of Houston Professor and Historian Nancy Beck Young said.
Young examined the letter written to Tom Logan, which arrived by UPS truck four months after his son’s death.
“I would agree, this is a personal sacrifice and an impersonal condolence,” Young said.
Young said that it appears Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush, wrote more personal, individualized, sometimes hand-written notes to the families of soldiers.
Young also said that form letters, condolence, or otherwise, are a function of the modern age we live in.
“I think it’s an indication of how of how the office of the presidency works in the early 21st century,” Young said.
Tom Logan is convinced it shouldn’t work like that, not now, not ever.
“Where are the representatives of our government? Where is the honor and the respect that all of these soldiers deserve?” Logan asked
UH OH is some of Hollywood turning on their golden boy?
Leno: Romney Didn’t Cheat Off Obama During Debate – ‘He Didn’t Have Any Answers Worth Stealing’
Is the “tingle” gone???
Chris Matthews And Panel Trash Obama Campaign’s Big Bird Ad

You won’t here that story in lib. media unless there was a Republican in that White House.

Big Bird…Tingles wants them to get their knives out. What a weenie.
White house conferance call about Libya attacks and FOX news NOT invited!!!! Other puppet networks were there but FOX was not invited!! Transparent administration my A$$!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if O’Reilly will get any converts from his “debate” with Jon Stewart? numbers are high for him.
“OTHERS” may have lost their First Debate….but NEVER so BADLY !!!
Early Start/Starting Point still barely above 200. This has got to be a record low in programming for CNN.
Cnn needs a full overhaul ..they might need to hire celebs to host in primetime

Betty
You are right, it is how badly he was beaten.
@
Bill
Are you sure you are not Bill O.
James I don’t believe it was us righties jumping the gun just a week and a half ago when the polls were showing Obama ahead. I believe it was you guys saying the election is over. I guess it might not be over.
Betty is exactly correct–worst beating in Presidential debate history. 70 percent said Romney won and 20 percent said Obama won( that 20 percent would be the black community and the white guilt community headed up by Tingles). Nobody but an ideological moron could say Obama won that debate.

DB
You hit the nail on the head. Most of the lefties said this was over and they were crowing about it.
Guess what even if Romney takes a lead as big as Obama had this is far from over. There is a long way to go!
Right now it is 50-50 with Romney having the big Moe. That could change in a flash.
@James: >>> Great night for Msnbc again chris.al.rachel
.ed.and lawrence all well over a million total viewers ea ch <<<
Man, you live in a fairy-tale land. Doing well for THEM, overall they're sucking Fox's fumes. "All well over a million total viewers." As I have come to learn, it's the 25-54 demos that count, not total viewers.
65 million people watched last week's debate. The wild performances by the MSNBC Little Theater Acting Co., I think, turned a lot of viewers away. I resent having to fund MSNBC from the fees in my cable bill.
DB: I said months ago not to take any polling seriously until after the debates. As it was said before, Romney has got the Big Mo’. A challenger TIED with an incumbent? That’s a recipe for a landslide…for the challenger.
@Ratboy: >>> White house conferance call about Libya attacks and FOX news NOT invited!!!! Other puppet networks were there but FOX was not invited!! Transparent administration my A$$!!!!!!!!! <<<
Americans must wonder, certainly Fox News does…how can this favortism in the media, at the Presidential level, be allowed to happen??? Obama is nothing but a bully and he thinks that he's hurting Fox because Fox is covering the election fairly. The lamestream media covers Obama…and what Obama says about Romney. That's as fair as they get.
WHEN Romney wins, I hope and expect that there will be plenty of FOX exclusives.
If the lamestream network people had ant b—s, they would refuse to get on this conference call unless Fox was in on it. Yet, Fox News is #1 and getting bigger and bigger. And, politicians like Obama are not going to get any special favors.
My hero of the week award goes to Lara Logan of CBS News. She's a veteran war correspondent who was nearly killed by a group of men sexually molesting her. It was the local women who overcame the men who were violently assaulting Ms. Logan.
She stood up this week and called "bull$#1t" on the Obama administration's lies about the terrorists in the mid-east. Can you see a Bob Schieffer, Scott Pelley or a Dan Rather do that? No. NOne of them has b–s.
Sgt. Ed Shultz may be losing his stripes. His ratings may knock him down to Buck Private.
Larry O. is beating him nightly in a tougher time slot.
