    Ed brought up a funny point about the latest Ryan interview where he walks out on the interviewer. Ryan basically said Obama has no plans to change gun laws which counteracts a favorite Republican(NRA) talking point.

    It just makes me laugh the NRA gives Obama a F rating when the only law he passed in 3+ years was allowing people to carry concealed guns in National Parks

  • Sicilian Papa

    I think everyone is talked out on politics. We’ll have more to say after the Flinstone-Buckley debate tomorrow night. I will say this now, no matter what happens the corrupt lib. media will declare Fred the winner.

  • Ratboy

    Not talked out…:………DISGUSTED!!!!!!

    I am feeling a little better. The relentless personal attacks on Romney are having less effect. The libs blew 200 million on his destruction and Romney changed the game in 90 minutes.

  • Sicilian Papa

    I do think that it is amusing and everything I have said for three and a half years about President empty suit was validated in 90 minutes. I liked watching the President being exposed as the teleprompter reading, corrupt lib. media creation he is.

  • Mark

    @Papa

    So Rooney basically changing his stances on many things while not explaining how they can actually work, but hey he looks good doing it doesn’t make Romney an empty suit? Good to see your easily swayed

  • UpAndOver

    Did obama say:

    If you can’t run on your record, make the campaign about Big Bird…

    LOL…..

  • Mark

    I probably will add Romney probably would be better described as a snake oil salesman then an empty suit.

  • Sicilian Papa

    I think Ed thinks he is Keith Olbermann with his special commentary. Ed I have to tell you, I have heard the gas bag of all gas bags and you are no gas bag of all gas bags.

  • Mark

    @Papa

    So no comment on Paul Ryan’s point about Obama not going after guns no matter how much the NRA is pumping money into a false campaign?

  • Sicilian Papa

    @

    Mark

    When did President Obama ever tell you or me how his policies would work? He didn’t even get involved with his own health care bill. God help us, he let Pelosi write the bill.

  • Sicilian Papa

    Mark

    I don’t think guns are a big issue this time around. To many other things going on.

    In 08 people voted for a neophyte because he gave a good speech and had a slogan “Hope and Change.” Only problem was he didn’t have any idea what he was doing.

  • Mark

    @papa

    All I get from Romney is he will decrease taxes while increase our defense budget, and magically that will reduce the deficit. I understand he wants to cut some very small things(say like half a million funding to public broadcasting, which in all reality will have minimal effect covering the military budget) and Romney also makes the false claim(which I wish was true) that Obama somehow is cutting the defense budget(it should be pointed out the military and defense spending has been higher under Obama then any president before, but somehow that point gets glossed by a guy who wants to make it even worse)

  • Mark

    Sorry half a billion(not million) funding to public broadcasting

  • Sicilian Papa

    I know you guys don’t believe this but if you grow the economy at 4% you will bring in more revenue. We are stuck in the mud and we are creating a bubble by printing money to keep the economy afloat. That has to crash.

    So using the same ideas that Bush ed to get us into this problem will somehow get us out of it? The whole idea of trickle down economics is ridiculous and I just don’t see how increasing military spending helps that

  • Ratboy

    Here is how many on the left interpet and report (then beleive)on what the right says………

    If Romney were to say..”I will raise awareness”, then “I will look at with congress at the rates and loopholes of taxes” then I am going to work to build the middle class”

    The left looks……………disects…………….and comes up with………….”I will raise taxes on the middle class”

  • Sicilian Papa

    We are growing at 1.3% and we are bringing in the same amount of money roughly as we did 4 years ago. Our only hope is to grow the economy. The government will have to do more with less. There will be less government to help people. We will have to help ourselves. It is not the function of the government to feed and diaper us. I don’t care about the rich. I am trying to make my own money.

  • Mark

    @Ratboy

    I would just like a list of loopholes Romney would fight to get rid of and which ones he would fight to keep. is that to much to ask? Instead he is basically being quiet for fear if he let it known what loopholes he would have to get rid of to make the policy work it would come off looking bad

  • Sicilian Papa

    Mark

    A liberal idea that everyone should own a home adopted by President Bush was a part of what went wrong. The government backed the loans and lowered the standards to borrow. Barny Frank and Chris Dodd had a hand in it.

    It didn’t have anything to do with lowering taxes.
