Darlin, Mitt was referring to the people and groups he would not focus on for his campaign spending as he was taliking to donors at the time. (but he has since said it was just plain wrong of him to say it)
He was not throwing those people away but he was taking them out of the focus of his campaign since he know they would not vote for him anyway.

    @

    The Lefties

    THAT IS IF ROMNEY WINS!!!!

Man you guys are quitters. You get down a little bit and the sky is falling. I prepared myself if we got another four years of Obamaville .

You are right. I have been selling stocks . I think they are high at this time.

  • sunshine

Someone should get out that 47% video and listen to it. It has gotten to twisted around it’s pathetic.

Romney was saying that 47% will vote for Obama no matter what. They are the entitlement folks that don’t want to lose those entitlements. He (Mitt) can’t concern himself with them (he means by trying to convert them for the election, to win their votes)
He has to focus on the people he can persuade to vote for him.
This was great example media corruption.

  • sunshine

Oh crap Ratty. I was posting after you posted. You explain much better than I

This tape is edited and we can not get the whole tape now. There is a reason the Libs, Demos did this,Why.

  • Suikostinger

You guys are STILL defending a remark that Romney said? Even AFTER the fact that Romney himself said he was “completely wrong” about?

    http://news.yahoo.com/romney-47-percent-completely-wrong-021604130–election.html

n an interview Thursday night with Fox News, Romney was asked what he would have said had the “47 percent” comments come up during his debate in Denver on Wednesday night with President Barack Obama.

“Well, clearly in a campaign, with hundreds if not thousands of speeches and question-and-answer sessions, now and then you’re going to say something that doesn’t come out right,” Romney said. “In this case, I said something that’s just completely wrong.”

  • Doug Z

    @ 1nancy2

When Demos , Libs claim a tape is edited a person can go to a web side and hear the whole thing. Not good for Libs, they just want it gone. Libs, Demo edit a tape they throw it away and we can not check it out at all.

    Why,Just tell me why

  • Suikostinger

    @Dougz

This tape is edited and we can not get the whole tape now. There is a reason the Libs, Demos did this,Why.

Not edited buddy. Missing 2 minutes after the remark was said. Even Romney admits that he said what was said on the tape and even admits that he was “completely wrong”. He bunched retirees into the groups that “are dependent upon the government” just because they pay no income tax and believe that they are victims, which is completely wrong.

Critics of Romney’s “47 percent” remarks noted that many of those who don’t pay federal incomes taxes pay other forms of taxes. More than 16 million elderly Americans avoid federal income taxes solely because of tax breaks that apply only to seniors, the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center reports. Millions of others don’t pay federal income taxes because they don’t earn enough after deductions and exemptions.

Do you think he will mention it again??????

Biden Complains People ‘Can Barely Pay To Fill Their Gas Tank’ – Back In ’08 Debate

During the 2008 vice presidential debate, Joe Biden complained about how gas prices were so high at the time that the average “Joe” couldn’t afford to fill up his tank.

During the Oct. 2, 2008 vice presidential debate with Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Biden was asked by moderator Gwen Ifill to comment about deregulation.

In his answer, then-Senator Biden took the opportunity to relate a conversation he had at a gas station with “a guy named Joey” who said he couldn’t afford to fill up his tank:

Not defending tape . Just want Media to be fair, not.

  • Suikostinger

    Sorry, sentence structure is incorrect…..

He bunched retirees into the groups that “are dependent upon the government” just because they pay no income tax and believe that they are victims, which is completely wrong.

    Should =

He bunched retirees into the groups that “are dependent upon the government” and “believe that that are victims” just because they pay no income tax and which is completely wrong.
