“Larrymania” Delivers Nearly 200,000 Total Viewers and Ranks No. 1 Series Premiere to Date Across all Key Demographics

LOS ANGELES – October 9, 2012mun2’s highly-anticipated series premiere of “Larrymania” featuring Latin music sensation Larry Hernandez, delivered record ratings, earning the network’s largest debut delivery for any original program among adults 18-49, and the network’s largest audience for any reality show premiere in key demographics, according to Nielsen research. The Sunday (10/7) premiere episode brought triple-digit growth to the time period versus prior month, with a growth of 229% (184,000) among total viewers, 248% (115,000) in adults 18-49, and 150% (55,000) in adults 18-34. “Larrymania” was the #1 program on Sunday night at 9 p.m. among Hispanic men 18-34 and Hispanic men 18-49 compared to all Hispanic cable networks, out-performing Galavision and Discovery en Español during the same time period. In addition, “Larrymania” was the 4th most watched show among Hispanic men versus all cable networks, regardless of language, out-delivering HBO, Showtime, Discovery, and Lifetime among others. The show’s record ratings solidify mun2’s spot as the leading Hispanic cable network for young Latinos in lifestyle entertainment and pioneers in Latino celeb-reality television.

mun2 also delivered digital success as “Larrymania” helped drive six of the 10 most viewed videos on mun2.tv this month. The original vignette “Larry Hernandez y Su Ceviche” has gone viral with over 20,000 likes on Facebook in one week. The series and related videos have given mun2 two of the five highest days of video streaming this year.

Tune in on Sunday October 14 at 9pm ET (8C) for episode two, “Mexico Lindo y Querido,” where Larry throws a surprise party for his girlfriend Kenia in Las Vegas with family and mariachis, but catches her by surprise when he announces he needs to fly to Sinaloa. In Mexico, he helps set up the family crop business but unexpected emotional moments arise when Larry reminisces about his life and loved ones in his hometown, Estacion Obispo Pueblos Unidos.
