partners :’( so disappointing. i just hope CBS releases all the episodes that were made.
What is 2BG series lows??? Thanks.
Why would you say CBS is trying to “kill” “2 Broke Girls”?!? It’s not pulling big numbers like last year, but it’s doing well for them.
Besides, it was…
- the #1 new comedy in A18-49 in the 2011-12 season
- the #2 new comedy in A18-34 in the 2011-12 season
- their highest rated Monday show this season
- grows from “Partners”
@Petera Ivanov – They didn’t want to kill 2 Broke Girls they wanted to make another Big Bang/Two and a Half Men type hit. Unfortunately due to The Voice competition CBS’s comedies and all networks series were down. NBC’s The Sing Off last year made the network in 4th place mondays while CBS, ABC and FOX were in first second and third respectively but NBC’s The Voice jumped the gun to first place. So its not just CBS comedies its all other non NBC network’s shows on mondays which are down compared to last year. Also Partners seems to be the weak spot on Mondays. I’m sure soon CBS will replace it with Rules of Engagement.
Partners has grown on me and its ratings are consistent even though it lost the Houston market last night. I think after a while Partners is going to start to grow.
@Petar Ivanov
Doesn’t matter. It’s performing well enough that renewal is certain. Hopefully Season 3 gets a better day.
LOL 90210 what a FLOP
Oh my……Partners and Hawaii Five-O below 2.0. That doesn’t fly to well for CBS. However, every season the bar for Live+Same Day has to move lower as the DVR audience grows year over year.
CW Slogan: TV To Talk About… The Next Day!
Surprised at The Voice. I always assumed it was doing well because it was on in the spring and not against anything (since everything on NBC dies). It’s doing well and seems to be sucking viewers away from everything.
@Bee – I’m sure CBS will air all of Partners in one way or another whether it be burning it off on Saturdays or letting it die in its current slot. Best case scenario is CBS will order additional episodes (likely 3 totaling 16 total episodes for Partners), worst case is Partners is pulled and returned in the summer. Last time CBS had cancelled comedies with unaired episodes was 2005-2006 with Out Of Practice and Courting Alex.
More people watched Alphas than the CW shows. lol
“Yikes. Didn’t expect that huge of a readjustment to CBS.”
Houston has 2% of the US TV households. We warned you.
@ SPM
90210 isnt even bad tv and in fact borders on half way decent. Problem is that The CW is dying fast. Hell I didnt even know where it was in my guide until recently.
Poor 90210-I caught the tail end and actually liked the way its going. Gossip Girl is no surprise-the disaster of last year took a toll. They lost fans-partially to the shipper wars in my opinion in addition to the “let’s go off the rails” mentality of Safron. At least Castle is doing ok-I’m really enjoying it.
WOW i wasn’t sure if how the CW ratings were gonna go this season but this is terrible. I guess the whole, “premiere CW shows later than usual after all the crazy new show buzz has died out” didn’t work.
Hart of Dixie looks like huge hit for the network compared to these ratings.
90210 would definitely finish out it’s run of 23 (i think) episodes since there’s no other programing that would work with “The Carrie Diaries” on Mondays come January.
so the renewal list for far would be:
Certain Renewal:
Supernatural
Hart of Dixie
The Vampire Diaries (it’s a given)
Certain Cancellation:
90210
Gossip Girl (official Final season)
the CW’s new shows NEED to get decent ratings, they can’t rely on their older shows anymore. But it’s mostly on Arrow’s shoulders, if Arrow bombs then the network will definitely be dead.
@Why would you say CBS is trying to “kill” “2 Broke Girls”?!?
one word – Partners.
The voice “steal” strategy works!!!! loved it!!! good for the voice!
90210 might survive if they move it. Actually seems like a Friday show to me, but at this point anything to get it off of Mondays. Just too much competition there.
The buzz for “Arrow” is quite massive!
