TV Ratings Monday: 'The Voice' & 'Castle' Up, 'Revolution' Dips Again, 'Mob Doctor' Goes Lower + '90210' & 'Gossip Girl' Premieres

Note: Last night’s Monday Night Football game (Texans/Jets) was simulcast on the CBS affiliate in Houston. As a result, the CBS numbers may be a bit inflated and subject to more than typical adjustments in the finals.

NBC was number one with adults 18-49, while ABC won with total viewers.

On NBC, The Voice scored a 4.7 adults 18-49 rating, up from last week's 4.6 Revolution garnered a 3.1, dipping again from last week's 3.2 among adults 18-49. Your predictions were about right

On CBS, How I Met Your Mother earned a 3.2, down from last week's 3.3 adults 18-49 rating. Partners scored a 2.2, up a tenth from last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. 2 Broke Girls garnered a 3.7, up two points from last week's 3.5 among adults 18-49. Mike & Molly notched a 3.1, also up two tenths from last week's 2.9 adults 18-49 rating. Hawaii Five-0 scored a 2.2, up two tenths from last week's 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. Ratings for CBS may be inflated due to local NFL coverage

On ABC,  Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars was even with last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. Castle earned a 2.2, up three tenths from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX,  Bones earned a 2.0, down a tenth from last week's 2.1 among adults 18-49. The Mob Doctor scored  a 0.9, down a tenth from last week's 1.0 adults 18-49 rating.

On The CW, the premiere of  90210 earned a 0.5, down from last season's 0.9 premiere rating. Gossip Girl premiered to a 0.4, down from last year's 0.7 premiere rating.

* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.5/6; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 3.0/7; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/5.

 

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: > "> The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,> "> 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.7/3; "Nightline," 0.9/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

 

* At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.4/3).

 

* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Wow, 0.4 for the final season of Gossip Girl? I mean, I know the show is past its prime and Mondays are difficult, but that’s heinous.

    With Houston being the 10th largest market I would expect some drops for the CBS shows in the finals.

    I could not believe that FOX ran a promo for the Nov. 5 episode of the Mob Doctor after last night’s episode. Are they committed to 13 episodes or what?

    Revolution really drops hard in half hour. Still great for NBC.

    Looks like the final season for 90210…would be disappointed, however after watching the LA Complex I know the CW can do a lot better..quality wise…

    OMG!.GG did in the Premiere just 0.4!Thats really bad,even for CW.Looking for the rating of 90210:0.5, 90210 could be facing the last season as well.

    Yay for H50! 1.8, 2.0, now 2.2. The trend is in its favour. I think it is slowly going back to earth. When all is said and done in terms of the cbs 10 pm shows, i think it will look much stronger than it did during that first premiere week. Sad for Bones :S Also, I think Castle will be adjusted down at least a tenth, that’s too high for it i think

    Interesting fact, in it’s 4th episode, The Event was at a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating.

    Revolution needs to stop leaking viewers dangit. Still a solid number but keeps dropping a little each week.

    Mondays will be the weakest night of the week for the CW, even worse than Fridays. This will be the last season for 90210. And obviously no one cares about the final 10 episodes of Gossip Girl.
