You are not too sharp, are you, Sam?
Boss1, I can only imagine what you are going thru now. You are right that real life hardships like the one you are suffering thru make all the junk on politics etc seem very small. If it is time for your Mom, I pray she goes peacefully and that you can move on with only great memories of her life. I think we are all praying for you. Forget the silly high horse post above–so unimportant.
@Bsotgnw

When you rob Peter to pay Paul you can prety much count on Pauls vote thats why they advertise to the folks to get on food stamps. The fraud is rampant in this program. And all the dems can do is say thats “raceist” even though their are far more “white” people on the program than minoritis.
——————–
I know this sounds easy but I just wish a president would go out of their way to go to all government funded programs(including defense) and find ways to cut wasteful spending. I am guessing most government spending could be cut 10-15% just by finding wasteful spending and still operate on par with what we do now
One huge reason I find it hard to take Romney seriously when he says he wants to reduce government spending is he constantly talks how he needs to increase defense spending. You think a true fiscal conservative would find ways to cut everything and not as you said use peter pays paul methods to do stuff.(ie if we going to waste money I much rather have it on programs I at least agree with then even more defense spending)
Bossman, I am praying for you and your family!!!!!!
@ Sicilian ,
The reason I bring up Bush and 9/11 is that his administration had clear threats they should have taken seriously, in fact if they have taken the threats seriously 9/11 would have never happened.
Saudi intelligence informed the government that a group of its wanted youths were found to meet with senior Al Qaeda members in Malaysia, the Bush administration totally ignored that.
Beside that one of the perpetrators Khalid al Mehdar was wanted by the US in Yemen but somehow he was able to obtain a visa and enter the country on July 4th !!
Now I understand that the administration get 100′s if not 1000′s of threats daily and they don’t have the resources to check each one of them, so I’m not blaming Bush nor should you blame Obama.
If Romney wants to play the Libya card he’ll be shooting himself in the foot, because it was Republicans who cut off funding to our embassies and Hilary Clinton specifically warned against that. Beside the marines mom said that she doesn’t trust Mitt Romney and he should not use her son to motivate his political agenda.
D-bob, I don’t agree with much of what Sam posts but actually he is pretty sharp and a nice guy.

Boss
After you have had time to heal, I’ll get out poker table, we’ll have a few beers, a cigar and watch some football. All our thoughts are with you. Your moms suffering will soon be over. Rest and have peace in your life.
@Boss-Also thinking of your mom.
Mark, I am with you on the waste issue. It makes me sick to think of the wasteful spending in the government.
Mark,
I agree. I have no children. It have no problem paying for education (I live in NJ so you can bet my taxes are up there. College costs are ridiculous, not sure how to lower them. I am a bit older than you and went to a private school, but still paid nowhere near what it costs now. We were both lucky.
@ CyberWizard,
Calling me names will not make you smarter btw. You can instead discuss and counter the issues you don’t like such as other civil people are doing here.
@ Boss,
Keeping you and your mom in my prayers.

Sam
I don’t blame Obama for the attack but I do blame him for the cover up. Having your people go out and lie about a terror attack and at the same time calling your opponent a liar takes big brass…
I will say this…FNC is kicking everyone’s butt. They just keep getting more and more viewers. More people are starting to see the other channels as a tool for Democrats/Liberals. Yes, FNC is more conservative but at least they have both sides of the debate. And honestly the only commentator that professes to be conservative is Hannity. The news coverage during the day is really fair with both sides being able to express their opinion. Fox Report with Shep Smith is very fair, O’Reilly is very independant and so is Greta. You can switch to MSNBC and CNN and see the bias, it’s very evident especially on MSNBC which I think is a joke. CNN doesn’t know what they are doing, they are being left in the dust. Erin Burnett, Blitzer, Cooper and Morgan are terrible commentators. No wonder people switch to FNC. Not sure why people watch MSNBC. This channel is most one-sided so called news channel I have ever seen. It’s disgusting!
One more thing, FNC is even doing better among younger people! Thank goodness they are finally seeing through the BS!
Mark; they can start with “Green GAS” that they force the military to buy at $50 a gallon.

Sam is cool and he’s pretty sharp. I am trying to convert him over to our side of the aisle. I see we have some new people on tonight. Great, welcome we try not to get personal here. We are all neighbors. We do welcome humor, entertaining posts mixed in with hardball politics. Stick around we are fun bunch to hang out with.
I generally hate when candidates talk about “billy bob in timbuktoo who they met and give a little story about him” because it seems so phony, but it’s funny as hell as when people get caught.

REPORT: Slain SEAL Told Friend Meeting Romney ‘Was Pathetic And Comical’
Here’s What Actually Went Down During The US Consulate Attack Last Month In Benghazi
Elf Ellefsen knew slain Navy SEAL Glen Doherty for the last 20 years, even paddled out on a swim with him in the days leading up to his travel to Libya.
Imagine his astonishment when Romney got “choked up” talking about one of his best friends.
According to Ellefsen’s interview with My North West journalist Libby Denkmann, Doherty once described the meeting with Romney as “Pathetic and comical.”
From Ellefsen:
“To have the same person come up to you within only a half hour, have this person reintroduce himself to you, having absolutely no idea whatsoever that he just did this 20 minutes ago, and did not even recognize Glen’s face.”
Mark; Sorry my bad just looked up Green Gas $26 not $50

My first choice would be the $100 dollar a load of laundry contract Halliburton(as in the place former Vice President Dick Cheney’s place of work) has with the US Government, that they force the soldiers to use although the clothes come out starchy and many just go rewash them after themselves.
