Coffee, thoughts and prayers with your and your family also. You have certainly had your share of sadness this past year. Hope all goes well for your brother today.
Good Morning Everyone
No change on my Brother Yet, heading back up there soon.
@1966
Thank You for the song brought a smile to this man’s face.
@Jeff
I will tell the Mona Lisa you said hi!
If you hear her talking then that coffee you’re drinking may be just a wee bit too strong. Enjoy yourself, outstanding place to be.
@Letmethink
Thank you for your thoughts. Yes we have been through way too much, but as seen with others on here, when it comes to life, we truly are all in the family of humankind.
The things that bind us together are far more than the things that separate us. Hurt knows no color, no race, no sex, no political sides, it attacks us all equally.
*Masked gunmen kill U.S. embassy employee in Yemen…
Expect more of these attacks.
*Polling shows that Gary Johnson pulls more support away from the president than from Mitt Romney
(In some key States Johnson is pulling up to 3-5%)
*Jay Carney: It’s an ‘editorial judgment’ to say administration was ‘wrong’ on Libya attack Video
(A message to our liberals friends on here, you need to write or email all your reps on this one and tell them and the WH, they better quickly change this and have them just admit this was wrong to do, if they keep up the game about the video, it will be in the headlines every single day and just keep growing, and growing and growing)
*Just for fun, Hey it’s pick your poll day
Un-Skewed Polling results now have a 52-45% lead for Romney/Ryan and the Presidents dis-approval number at 54%
QStarNews Daily Tracking Poll

Now Its time for the Coffee Steve Poll, this one by far is the best one LOL
Romney 51
Obama 49
Is it true that Obama sent out form letters to families of soldiers that died in Afghanistan? Now maybe Bush did the same thing, I don’t know. I remember “news” stories about how Obama took the loses hard and he wrote letters to the families. What was that more corrupt lib. media bull.
You know my friends on the left Obama ordered more troops into Afghanistan when he could have gone withdrawn them. He ordered a surge that accomplished nothing because he was never committed to it. I believe he doesn’t give a wit about what is happening over there.
A good line for Ryan tonight when slow Joe talks money. Biden called Corzine the man to go to about money matters. Corzine who bankrupted the State of NJ and lost billions on a bad business deal for his private company.
Thank God for debates or we would have no chance.
@Steve-prayers for you’re family, good friend to all on this site.
Good Morning,
Boss,
I worked for two hospices , & , although , we attempted to do all we could to ease the pain of those in our care , it was never enough. Families….real people ,are left to carry on that pain in another form, grief. I’m sorry.
The same goes for you Coffee. Your FAITH & FAMILY will be your solace & if you have friends, they are an additional blessing.

IRS says ‘tax avoidance’ at heart of Solyndra bankruptcy plan
The Internal Revenue Service urged a bankruptcy judge to reject solar panel maker Solyndra LLC’s bankruptcy plan Wednesday, saying it amounts to little more than an avenue for owners of an empty corporate shell to avoid paying taxes.
What’s more, government attorneys said that as far back as 2010, owners had “planned meticulously” to be able to use Solyndra’s net operating losses to offset future tax liabilities.
“The only reason for the shell corporation to exist post-confirmation is to enable its owners to exploit these tax attributes, which would be lost in liquidation,” the IRS argued in court papers.

S&P downgrades Spain’s credit rating
The downgrade to BBB- from BBB+ late on Wednesday leaves Spain one notch above “junk” status. S&P also attached a “negative outlook”, which warns of a possible downgrade in the medium term.

I waited to walk the dog until 6:30 ,yet, brrrr….it didn’t help. It’s in the 30′s this morning here in TN..
One more thing before I go. Obama is running hundreds of million of dollars in negative ads. For thirty years we have been lectured by the left and the corrupt lib. media about the evils of money in politics.
I guess it’s okay as long as their Messiah is the one raising a billion dollars. Another hypocrite Hollywood fundraiser anyone?
Beside the marines mom said that she doesn’t trust Mitt Romney and he should not use her son to motivate his political agenda.

Shades of Cindy Sheehan?

My prayers go out to Boss also. Tough time to get through.

Good Morning!!
Hang in there Coffee dude!!!!!!!
d.d.
I prefer to use sirloin for my jerky. I have also had good luck with english pot roast. If you are using a dehydrator the round is good but I find that with a smoker a little more marble helps it from drying too much and turning into charcoal. Another cut is flank. A coulpe of tips. put the meat in the freezer to firm it up then slice it. You will get more even slices and it will make for better jerky. Second is the marinade. I have a couple favorites. First is Mrs. Butterworth. It is a 12 hour marinade.
1 tsp liquid garlic
2 qt water
1 cup salt (I use less)
2 cups Mrs Butterworth syrup
4 taplespoon pepper (I miz black and white for a little more kick)
You can also add a few drops of tabasco or use some cayanne pepper depending on the heat you want
Second one is a 6 hour
2 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs ginger
1/4 tsp black pepper (or white)
1/4 cup lime juice
2 tbs worshteshire
1 tbs crushed red pepper
this is a mixture for about 1.5 lbs of meat
@Tony and d.d., S.Papa & Sunshine, Good Morning
Thank you guys, it is much appreciated

when my brother was laying there in a coma I just stayed and talked to him and told him some jokes (we were a team of joke machine)because if i did anything different I know he would have been very unhappy! When I said my good by I told him to kiss my a$$ like I always did but that time I did not hear “no kiss my a$$” come back. As crazy as it sounds, thats the void I feel, he should have had the last word!

Wasserman Schultz: Wrong Statements About Libya Doesn’t Mean They Were False
Piers Morgan, CNN: The really important horse that should be flogged is the behavior and the statements of those who are in positions of responsibility and we would assume knowledge. And it’s pretty unAmerican, pretty unAmerican to be putting up completely false statements before you know the facts, isn’t it?
Debbie Wasseerman Schultz, DNC chair: Piers, it is not okay for you to be saying that the administration was putting out completely false statements. They put out information that they had at the time based on the intelligence that they were given –
Piers Morgan: That turned out to be completely wrong.
Wasserman Schultz: Well that doesn’t mean it was false. It doesn’t mean that it was deliberate. It means that.
Morgan: What?! Now wait a minute. If you put out a false statement, then it’s false, it’s wrong. It’s both of those things.
Wasserman Schultz: But you’re suggesting that it’s … Piers, what you’re suggesting is that it was somehow deliberate. It was not deliberate. What they did was it was important to get information out that they had at the time. And they did that. And as they learned more information, they corrected the original information that they put out. But there was nothing sinister here. This was simply the president of the United States and the administration making sure that we did a careful investigation, gave the American people the information that they needed at the time that we had based on our best intelligence and then as more intelligence was gathered we gave the updated information. There is nothing sinister about that.
What’s terrible unfortunate though, is that you do — there’s no around these investigations that Republicans in Congress and Mitt Romney have left to go after the administration questioning whether or not there was any deliberate attempt to mislead. We should be closing ranks, working together to prevent this from happening again.
Morgan: Well the answer to that Debbie, is — the answer to that is to make sure that the original statements that were made are accurate.
Thats the media for ya
MSNBC’s ‘Now’ Doesn’t Bother to Mention Congressional Hearing on Benghazi Fiasco While it’s in Progress
The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform convened for a hearing on Wednesday at 12 p.m. EDT to delve into the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Detailed accounts were heard, revelatory statements were made, but MSNBC’s noon time program Now with Alex Wagner was too busy criticizing everything Mitt Romney has said over the last few years to even acknowledge what was transpiring, much less dip in to cover the hearing itself.
Good morning all,
@Coffee Steve your brother is in my prayers

Sawyer Spends 4 Minutes Channeling Liberal Angst Over Obama’s Debate Performance; 20 Seconds on Libya Dissembling
ABC’s Diane Sawyer spent a solid four minutes of her interview with President Barack Obama, as excerpted at the top of Wednesday’s World News, channeling liberal angst over Obama’s debate performance – and that’s before she allocated more than a minute to cuing up Obama to denounce a Mitt Romney comment on aburtion. She prompted Obama with a harsh assessment of Romney: “Is it a lie?”
“Libya” was not even uttered in the Sawyer-Obama segment. Viewers had to wait until the next story, by Jake Tapper, on the House hearing which laid out the administration’s dissembling on what happened in Libya when Ambassador Chris Stevens was murdered. Then viewers got 20 seconds — more than half of that consumed by Obama’s defense and assurance he’ll “fix” anything that wasn’t done properly.
