    Thursday, October 11, 2012

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows President Obama attracting support from 48% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns the vote from 47%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

  • Ratboy

In the 11 swing states, Mitt Romney earns 49% support to Obama’s 48%. One percent (1%) likes another candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

This is the third day in a row Romney has led the daily Swing State Survey. Prior to that, the president had led for 17 of the previous 19 days, and the candidates had been tied twice. This survey is based on findings from the previous seven days, with all of the responses now coming since Romney’s debate win last Wednesday night.

AP Apologized For Romney-and-Child Photo — After Bill O’Reilly Predicted They Would, and Must

Associated Press has apologized for its rude picture of Romney with a young girl gaping from behind. That happened the morning after Bill O’Reilly trashed AP on Tuesday night and predicted they would apologize.

  • AppleStinx

I predict that O’Reilly will mention the AP apology in his program tonight.

  • AppleStinx

To be more precise, I predict it to be in the “Talking Points Memo”. He’ll start with “As I predicted…”.

Definition – The rope-a-dope is performed by a boxer assuming a protected stance (in Ali’s classic pose, lying against the ropes; by leaning against the ropes, much of the punch’s energy is absorbed by the ropes’ elasticity rather than the boxer’s body) while allowing his opponent to hit him, providing only enough counter-attack to avoid the referee thinking the boxer is no longer able to continue and thus ending the match via technical knockout. The plan is to cause the opponent to “punch himself out” and make mistakes which the boxer can then exploit in a counter-attack.

Biden: ‘You Ever See Me Rope-a-Dope?’

    From the pool report:

Vice President Biden arrived at about 10:50 a.m. at New Castle Airport. He climbed out of a gray SUV, greeted some military (see below) and then walked toward the press gathered near the wing.

Asked about tonight’s debate he said, “Looking forward to it.”

Asked about his strategy, whether it was rope-a-dope, he responded:
    “You ever see me rope-a-dope?”

  • Raz

Have seen Biden be a dope and have see him plagerize. What makes this really sad is that I used to really respect this guy.

The idea in making “rope a Dope” successful you first must not be the Dope trying to rope a Dope.

I just re-watched the Biden_Palin debate in 2008….all his promises, all his anaysis if they won..everything never, ever happened!!! And as stupid as Palin was made to look if her visions were implemented we would be much better off today………

The NBC Ohio poll is as laughable as the jobless claims number without the mystery State included. The % of Dems to Repubs-Indys is outrageous. I didn’t know people from Cal. had been moving to Ohio over the last four years.

    NBC-National Barrack Channel

  • Sicilian Papa

Get this the poll in Ohio by NBC surveys 40% Dems 29% Repub. 29& Indy. 9% of those Indy’s polled lean Dem. Obama 51% Romney 45%

Dems outnumber Repubs. 11% in Ohio. I don’t think so Chuck Todd.

ABC and CBS See Romney ‘Gaining Ground’ Post-Debate, NBC Claims ‘Not Much of an Impact’

While the ABC and CBS morning shows on Thursday focused on a tightening presidential race following Mitt Romney’s winning performance in the first debate, on NBC’s Today, political director Chuck Todd used the network’s new swing state polling to argue that the debate was “not as helpful to Romney as he might have hoped.” Prompting co-host Savannah Guthrie conclude: “Alright, so the debate had maybe not as much of an impact.”
