@ Bill Gorman
I also like your comment “Change the tune when the first one turns out to be crazy!”
during this election seasons there is a lot of this going on
Yes! As long as NCIS:LA stays in the 3s I’m happy
CBS is still kicking it in TOTAL VIEWERS!
what a disaster for the cw
^agreed
@Paul
Which means absolutely nothing. Ask “Harry’s Law” on NBC. Good or bad, 18-49 is TV’s God.
Just saw that The Voice will be airing two two-hour episodes on 10/29 and 10/30. Knockout Rounds. NBC is milking it, I guess.
I saw for the Tuesday edition on the 30th, Go On and New Normal will air after at 10-11, so no Parenthood.
Got it from Futon Critic.
Robert, that’s just an exuse Nikita fans use to exsuce it’s awful ratings while bashing HoDs.Nikita has little competition whereas HoD has Fox comedies,The Voice,abcfamilys shows,Dancing with Stars which skew female and younger women.Also. saying 0.4 on Fri is better than 0.4 on Tues is like saying I have two rotten oranges in my hand but ones better/less rotten then the other, when it dosent matter cause they’re both rotten.
“Last year, Ringer cancelled with 0.5. TSC with 0.6. be careful”
@ Reward: Hart of Dixie is perfectly safe from cancellation. The Secret Circle averaged a demo of 0.8 over 22 episodes. The finale was a 0.6. HOD and Ringer both averaged a 0.6 for the season. HOD closed with a 0.6, Ringer with a 0.5. There’s a difference. Ringer and HOD never got off the ground whereas the first 17 episodes of the Secret Circle did reasonably well. It’s clear that both HOD or Ringer should have been cancelled. Instead, Pedowitz et al. decided to inflict HOD on the public and even order additional episodes. The reason: HOD sells well on Netflix and was cheaper to produce than the Secret Circle. I doubt if HOD’s abysmal performance matters to the CW so long as it earns. So expect to see HOD around for at least a full season.
Cw still call themselves a network?Their numbers are pathetic
@SPM
You really think NBC are happy with those ratings and I am called nonsensical? LOL
Well Bill said it but again this is nonsense ! Yo do realize GO ON it # 1 scripted show(nbc) behind Revolution this week highest rated comedy on NBC
I’m so happy about The New Normal and Raising Hope, along with New Girl and Go On they make my Tuesday!
Actually I’m surprised with The New Normal I was worried to see it premiere at 2.5 but after 6 episodes the retention is quite good:
2.5
2.5
2.2
2.0
1.7
2.0
This show is really growing on me. And it may no be as lead-in dependent as Go On. Go On ratings are a rollercoster depending on The Voice but still NBC’s top sitcom.
Good for Go On, gained .5 and a million viewers over last week. Also good for The New Normal, up .3 and beat The Mindy Project.
So sad for Private Practice only 6 million and 2.2. In the good old days it had more the 3 in the demo and even managed to pull a very high 5.8 believe it or not. This season must be the last, it will be for the best.
Mistake only 1.6 not 2.2.
@MAtch
2.2? Not this season…
Private Practice got 1.6
@Match
lol… Never mind
NBC can do way better at 9pm no doubt about it.
If Parenthood takes a break I would like to see Infamous and Hannibal/Smash back-to-back after The Voice.
Hart of Dixie is a much cheaper show than the Ringer was. The Ringer was very very expensive for the CW. It also was the wrong show for the CW. It skewed to old with its audience. SMG is 35 she isn’t 20 anymore. It was paying SMG ALOT of money and while it had some promise the show failed to ignite. I love SMG but in the end it didn’t work. Hart of Dixie is cheap fare for the CW. The CW needs to fold or be overhauled. They need to say goodbye to Gossip Girl and 90210 this season and really go at the drawing board. Its a far cry from the old days of the WB when they had Felicity/Dawson’s/Seventh Heaven. CW never had the same buzz the old WB had.
Private Practice IMO had a nice six year run. Shonda Rhimes and her team should end it this season. No reason to have it go past 13 episodes. Kate Walsh is exiting. Hey this show lasted alot longer than I thought. It never really worked for me or had the same buzz Kate had when she was on Grey’s. Honestly I think Kate is done with Addison but IMO I would love to see Addison at some point return to Grey’s if it was ending.
