Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I watched all the Nbc shows last night. The voice is a lot of fun. I think go on is getting better every week. The new normal had a Good episode with a very sweet proposal. And I’m a big parenthood fan. Its great to see the ratings increase.

Seeing some of these stinkers makes me wonder why the nets can’t do more advance market research, test audience viewings, etc., to ID what people will like. Did they really expect “Partners” to be a hit? “Animal Practice”? Really? To each his own… or not.

    Watch the show Episodes :)

Can something be sweet AND creepy at the same time (i mean, it was during an ultrasound for gods sake)

    @ Dan

    “For NBC’s Standards”?

How can the #1 network of this season so far have lower standards than the lower rated networks? I smell some delusion here on just how well NBC has been doing this season so far.

  • CrimTV

What the hell is going on with The CW? I’m really worried about Arrow + TVD now! :O

  • Tony ^_^

“New Girl” is really steady! :D Hope it adjusts up! :)

  • CrimTV

Perhaps CW should have kept The Secret Circle?

If The LA Complex is only performing slightly worse than 90210, GG, HOD, is there a chance that The CW might pick it up as a mid-season replacement again?

MTV International recently picked up the first 2 seasons of this show to air in over 170 territories next year. Maybe that’ll create more buzz for the show? This show is way better than 90210 and GG.

Btw, I watched a couple episodes of HOD and TSC and The CW made the right decision to renew HOD over TSC. TSC was laughably bad. Badly written and for a show about magic, there were hardly any special effects. Glad that flop show got cancelled.

@CrimTV Arrow and TVD should do fine. They’re in popular genres: Comic Book character and Supernatural. The other shows are teen dramas.

Also on Monday and Tuesday The Voice and Fox’s comedy block are targeting the same demo.

John.. nice prince refence. i enjoyed that. Anyways.. so its okay for her to crisize my behavior like shes my mother. But i simply state about the lack of a sense of humor and its back to me burning at the stake. I see how this works now, kiss your ass and agree with everything you say and youll stick up for me. No thanks, i can stick up for myself and keep my integrity intact.

  • Freyja

It seemed like a few shows dipped from last week, NCIS and NCIS LA along with HOD. I suspect that’s normal after premieres, people go back to DVR’ing their shows and doing other things.

I wouldn’t pull the panic button yet, give them a few weeks and see if they bounce back some.

  • Sam

I wonder if “The Voice” can maintain 4.0′s all season long if their average will end up stronger than Season 2. Last Season they started off after the Superbowl with 6.0+ ratings but as the season went on the ratings got down to upper 3.0′s. I find it great progress that five weeks in, they have scored 4.0-4.8 demo’s every Monday and Tuesday night(discounting the one Wednesday against the X-Factor).

  • herpderp

If Tribune dumps the CW after the contract runs out, then the CBS-owned stations in the market will simply pick it up. Les Moonves wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • Brandy

Nikki, also, how could CW want SC to fail if they gave it the BEST leadin the network has?

  • Max Vrany

@Sam, NBC being the #1 network is *almost* completely due to Sunday Night Football and the Voice. NBC still is last in scripted content. IIRC, their highest rated scripted show is at a 3.0, and their next highest is at a 2.1. Unscripted content doesn’t figure into Renew/Cancel decisions.

So it’s ok for you to criticize her humor (or lack thereof) but it’s not ok for her to criticize your behavior? So there’s a double standard as to what is an isn’t acceptable for criticism?

As for ‘sticking up for you’ – I stick up for no one in particular – but seriously – you might want to think about taking something that doesn’t matter much less seriously

Considering how The CW ratings today and yesterday looked like Spring Ratings, I wonder what their ratings will be in March?

And “Emily Owens MD” isn’t going to do well. Isn’t it in the “Death Slot” (the slot “Ringer” was in and that pulls low numbers)?

“Arrow” and “Beauty and the Beast” are The CW’s last chances of having a hit this season!

Didn’t Ringer air on Tuesdays (at least at first?)

I gave the first episode a shot
