Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

It looks like 0.4 and 0.5 will be the new normal for the CW’s shows (instead of 0.6 and 0.5 like last year)

If Arrow isn’t a hit, the CW is done

  • John_M

Bristol Palin is killing DWTS’s ratings, nobody wants to see that talentless nobody try to dance!

But they want to see all the other no talent ‘somebodies’ dance?

  • PHIL

Did not think Go On was going to be a hit

  • jT

Ben and kate is hurting new girl…………

  • The Old Woman

NBC doing really well, even though Go On and The New Normal are both getting those numbers due to the Voice. Nice numbers for Parenthood.

    lol@ HOD

  • Jay

Yeah, gotta wonder about the future of the CW. Man, back in the day I watched half the shows on the WB…now all I watch on the CW are 90210 and the Vampire Diaries and I’m on the verge of quitting both.. They need better shows…or maybe just better writers on their shows.

  • richard

    yes parenthood!

  • EatMorePez

Poor CW ratings on Monday are apparently contagious to Tuesday

  • John_M

Ben and kate is hurting new girl…………

    Sure it’s not

  • KarenM

@Just My Opinion, maybe but DWTS is sooo over no matter what. I was a huge fan and now I’m over it.

  • Brian J

Solid increases for “GO” and “TNN.” This makes their renewals seem like a great choice. It’s also notable that both shows beat their most direct competitors over at Fox. While it remains to be seen if ABC has any impact in a few weeks, if this keeps up for NBC, it’s a pretty big deal.

Who cares if they are being supported by “TV”? Right now, this is exactly what needs to happen.

Also, what a nice gain for “Parenthood.” It’s only one week’s performance that we are talking about, but if this keeps up, I think this makes a case for more episodes. The show is pretty close to being ready for syndication, and since it could go on for many more seasons and going into syndication could help it gain new viewers, in addition to NBC owning the show, I will not be surprised to see it happen.

OMG hart of dixie. actually, OMG CW. but it’s not surprising really. HOD, 90210, and GG are just not at the same level of other shows.

good luck to them w. arrow tonight. it’s gotten buzz and promotion, and is one of the most acclaimed new shows of the season.

  • jT

    @phil it’s not a hit.

Sooner or later nbc will move it to replace the office.

  • John A

Dear god CW is in real trouble. If Arrow starts at a 0.8 it be a miracle.

  • Sid

Hart of Dixie is in trouble now.

  • KarenM

Now I actually can’t believe Drew and Helio won DWTS before. They suck!

  • Anna

I think this is wrong! ): Hart of Dixie never had a 0.4! What happened? The show is getting better and better.
    I’m sad now.

  • Hubert R.

HoD, there must be something wrong. Only 0.4 in demo but so many viewers? I hope there’s a mistake o.o
