Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

LOL @ the voice not dropping for battles like the haters wanted to desperately. :)

    The power of Godtina Aguilera.

  • Petar Ivanov

    @KarenM
NBC beating CBS? CBS has competition on Tuesday now!

YEP! Their expensive and aging shows with SAME OLD FACES i mean AGING ACTORS are killing all network. Only fresh faces and shows are 2BG and POI!

  • John_M

I’m not really sure why the CW even aired Dr Horrible, it’s been out for years, and it’s ‘audience’ (which is limited to Jossites like me) probably all own it and or have seen it multiple times, without commercials.

Why not just burn off an episode of H8R or something like that?

  • jt

GO might be adjusted down while NG might be adjusted up.
NG is really skewing young and doing it well.

  • Ash

Man somebody need to spread out the Nielsen boxes cause this is just crazy.

  • RyanCanada

I hope hart of Dixie adjusts up, love that show, New Normal, New Girl, And Raising Hope were sooooooo good… ben & kate was alright… Havent watched Parenthood, still on my PVR tho…

  • KarenM

Does this mean Vegas is going to get renewed? It’s such a cushy spot.

  • getmilk

Wow..CW…at HOD managed to get over 1 million viewers. Maybe it’ll adjust up.

    Irony…thick with irony

  • Justin121

    GREAT for NBC

    Ouch’s every where else…

Did Hart of Dixie really lose half its audience within a week?

  • John A

Im pissed Ringer was axed now with all the cw shows flopping. May as well kept that flop too.

  • Brittney

And before someone comes in trying to claim Cablevision had anything to do with The CW’s drops, we haven’t had The CW since summer and their shows managed decent ratings last week so that’s not it.

  • Petar Ivanov

NBC kill them all. NBC is in batle for second network now…..

  • Ryne

Is it because of non-availability of CW?

That sounds like another bingo excuse square to me!! Haha

  • John_M

Man somebody need to spread out the Nielsen boxes cause this is just crazy.

One thing Nielsen is quite good at I’m sure is determining the sample needs of its boxes as a representative sample of America as a whole

  • Adam

how did both NCIS & NCIS LA drop 5 tenths but keep the same viewing figures

  • Baqinardo

Last week The Voice was recap, that’s probably why HoD was high.
Poor CW. Thank god Arrow isnt gonna air against The Voice.

  • were123

NBC really got up last night, happy to see Go On higher (although of course, it’s because The Voice was up sharply from last week’s clip show). Fans of The New Normal and Parenthod must be thrilled, and so NBC, now the have at least 6 scripted shows to break 2s this week (Revolution, Go On, The New Normal, Parenthood, and likely SVU and Office)
As for FOX they must be happy to see Raising Hope raising a little and see New Girl and Mindy Project steady, however things doesn’t seem to bode all that well for Ben&Kate, which unless gets a little bit better rated it will likely get axed to make room for another comedy

    Old People

  • RyanCanada

GO On, is only a hit due to its lead in, if you swap places with TNN and GO ON, then the ratings would be opposit, lets wait untill january when The voice hasnt premiered yet, that will be the real test,
