Huh? Libya is close to the size of Alaska . 9 x bigger than Syria.]
I always loved Geography. Another way to visualize it: ’5 x Libya’ is an area equivalent to the contiguous (all lower 48) United States plus another Texas. Imagine that next to Lebanon.
@Everyone
I say go back to the Lincoln/Douglas style debates. The 2 men go on stage and have at it.
It’s like Golf, You drive for show, but putt for the dough
I am going to post something in a few seconds but I wanted to warn everyone to sit down and take your blood pressure medicine. You are going to be shocked!! This will be the most surprising thing you have read in a long time. Get ready
Ok here goes–Chris Matthews says the debate was a “clear victory for Biden”. All this time I thought Chris was a close minded ideologue who only saw one side of any argument. My bad!!
@DB
WOW!!!!!
Did anyone else notice?
Debbie Wasserman Schultz is the DNC Chair person, they bring her out for one day and POOF! Shes vanished again
FHA Jeffie, still waiting. Not going to stand up for your guy or are you a lead from behind kind of guy just like him. Come on Jeffie, grow some.
I tend to agree with you Matthew about each side solidifying its base. Much off it is money, but, also for enthusiasm & workers.
Where I disagree with you, is I believe most of undecided women who I think will vote …. I know a few personally, were totally turned off by Biden …. the one word my gut keeps telling me is he wasn’t ….. genuine.
This is one of the few VP debates that could matter. Now, Obama may round them back up with contr*ception & ab*rtion. I don’t know how it’ll play out.

White House Tries To Clean Up Biden’s Debate Mess: Claims Only He And Obama Weren’t Told About Requests For Additional Security In Libya…
The truthfulness of that statements depends on what Biden meant when he said “we” — State Department officials admitted in recent congressional hearings that requests were received from the Libyan missions for additional security resources in advance of the attack that killed four Americans

Apple, leave it to you, to give us that visual.
Nancy Pelosi, Stephanie Cutter, Debbie Wasserman-shultz– the dems are so lucky!! Coffee, note Pelosi and Reid have been kinda quiet too. In NC the campaign ads have been linking dem candidates to Pelosi and Reid and the dem candidates have been putting out counter ads running from those two as quick as they can.

@DB: >>> Chris Matthews says the debate was a “clear victory for Biden <<<
To quote Lewis Black: "Where can one find a drug that would make one so delusional?"
I've read somewhere where a pundit described the outcome of last night's debate another Kennedy-Nixon debate. "If you listened to the radio, Biden won. If you saw it on television, Ryan won."
I guess radio listeners couldn't visualize the laughing hyena known as the Vice President of the United States.
@DB
Debbie Wasserman-Shultz
People on here will verify that many months ago, I told them that Debbie Wasserman-Shultz was being set up as the scapegoat, when it was known the economy wasn’t doing well, and wouldn’t show hardly any improvement by Election Day. I will stand by that statement.
Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are embarrassments to the Democrats, All they do is distract with really stupid statements and make the left look silly. I honestly think President Obama would do himself a favor by ordering them to go away and hide somewhere.
Ralph, I believe Charles Krauthammer said that.
Coffee, maybe Obama already has told them to go hide– I haven’t seen either one lately. Reid is probably at the expensive hotel he lives in while in DC working on his taxes so he can release them.
@Doug Z: >>> Please watch what you post on <<<
Fertilizer Boy's long and boring diatribe today is clearly a liberal blogger's (a dumb one at that) article that he clipped and pasted here. I'll bet it's from someone whose words he steals from often explaining why he probably didn't read the entire article.
@DB
Reid and Pelosi both years ago were very good and they actually had some very good points.

Both Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill are spinning in their graves.
By the way, prayers still going out for your brother.

Thank You. He is very slowly coming back, but the process is driving us all nuts. I will be heading there this evening

It looks like the VP debate may draw something around 50 million viewers.
Hey there Hi there Ho there!! Better late than never! I had an interesting morning. Went to the board of Realtors meeting and then decided to go with one of the guests at the meeting to a place where the local DNC was haveing a breakfast meeting. My host was allowed to sit in the back of the room (he is a local figure) so he got me a chair too.
We only stayed for a little while but I will tell you this.
Coffee Steve was pretty close to the goal of Biden last night as they talked about it. Get Ryan riled and jump on his lack of exposure to this type of forum. Result (in the assesment of the local DNC guys) didnt come close to working. But what they were really upset about is the negative press that he has now drawn and the attention to his actions and disrespect. One guy said that if Ryan would have done that they could have used it and won the election but now they have to struggle to deflect. another guy said it make the party look like a bunch of bufoons. On woman said (and she is a member of the DNC) “We better hope nothing EVER hapens to the president because Biden is just plain scary”
But finally they were extrewmly pleased that he got all the points in, the 47 !/2, the 30% takers etc. They were also extremly happy that Biden was allowed to interupt at some very key moments. The group consensus was a Dem victory with some very heavy injurys and a huge battle scar (Bidens actions) that will follow them into the booth.
