You see, you guts are always about cuts but when shyt hits the fan, you guys cry for more security.

Hey Coffee and Ratboy, what do you guys think of House Republicans supporting legislation that cut funding for embassy security and then complaining that there needs to be more security?
This is what I think Mark2. I think that when you guys on the left make statements you need to make the whole entire unedited statement so the understanding is clear! The republicans reduced the amount that Obam wanted cut 2 years in a row soyes they voted to reduce the spending but did not try to “gut” it the way obama and his band of merry men wanted.
In fiscal 2011, lawmakers cut $128 million from the administration’s request for embassy security funding. In 2012 House Republicans cut back on the department’s request by $331 million.
Now that being said, if there is peril in a region and more security is requested it should never be denied and that is what was done. If it was a money matter then Hillary or Obama should have went to congress and said that money was needed to protect out embassy and people and I will tell you, NOBODY in the house would have said no!!!
Nice try but please tell the whole story.
@Mark2
Mark? Of course cuts are made, but it’s the administrations job to prioritize funds, when cuts are made then the money may be used elsewhere. But it’s up to the party in charge to set priorities on where those funds go.
When the request were made for more security Mark, they had more than enough in the budget to take security away from less dangerous places, like the ambassador in France had two assigned bodyguards that they could have re-assigned them to Libya where they knew the danger was high.
@Mark2
And Mark? President Obama has skipped 60% of his security briefings where those things are discussed, so now I ask you, was it all right for President Obama to skip his briefings?
It’s funny how you guys hated polls and didn’t trust them when Obama was leading but now you guys love and trust those very same polls so much. By the way, here’s the Presidential Approval numbers:
Rasmussen
Approve = 50%
Disapprove = 49%
Gallup
Approve = 50%
Disapprove =44%
If that Approval rate stay around 49% to 50%, Obama will be re-elected.
@Mark2
I answered your question Mark, now if you would answer mine
@Ratboy
Stategoat!
*Obama throws Hillary under the 2012 bus
The White House is throwing Hillary Clinton under the 2012 election bus.
Top officials have already claimed the nation’s intelligence agencies did not alert the White House to the growing danger facing the State Department’s facility in Benghazi, Libya, which was destroyed Sept. 11 by a jihadi attack on the 11th anniversary of the atrocities in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.
The claim was repeated Oct. 11 by Vice President Joe Biden during the vice presidential debate in Danville, Ky. “We weren’t told they wanted more security,” he announced.
I just thinks it’s funny how Republicans always cry wolf.
@Mark2
I answered your question fairly and without malice, please answer mine

“The money they spent on that Shrimp on a treadmill study for Global Warming would have provided security for 5 embassies”

The ‘shrimp treadmill’ is a drop in the pan in comparison to the billions we’ve spent on fighter jets that will never, ever see active combat. Of course, I understand that it’s easier to complain about the things we spend money on that seem ludicrous, than to actually discuss the policies that are busting the budget.
@Matthew
The ‘shrimp treadmill’ is a drop in the pan in comparison to the billions we’ve spent on fighter jets that will never, ever see active combat.
I agree, but my point to him was in reference he made to the security cuts Matthew, and how the governments job when cuts are made is to prioritize funds.
I don’t like the fact we pay $2000.00 for a hammer either, Kinda like how thats why many of us don’t think the government should take over health care when they can’t even budget a bathroom construction

Give up! I am still waiting for him or any of the left to answer my question about Obama and his band of clowns telling the lies about Libyia without bringing any other name like Bush or Regan or Santa Clause into it.
@Steve
That’s why you have staff members.
@Mark2
You don’t have to answer the question Mark, I’m just debating, not bashing, cause I’ve said some dumb things myself from time to time, as I am sure many will remind you of
But if you wish to give a response, I’ll repsect what you say

I just thinks it’s funny how Republicans always cry wolf.
do you know the staory about crying wolf?? That story is about a saying something is wrong when nothing is and then loses all credability so when it does go wrong no one comes to the rescue.
something went terribly wrong and no one came to the rescue in Libyia and it was not because the republicans have been saying annything one way or the other. If Obama would have cried wolf about needed security in Libyia he would have got it!!!!

So tell me, how did attending Security Briefings work out for Bush and Rice? It ended with the worst attack on U.S. soil with 3,000 Americans dead. Now don’t even try and compare that to 4 Americans dead.
