Mother of American Slain in Benghazi Tells CNN How the Obama Regime Lied to Her
RUSH: Folks, this is very hard to listen to. It’s tear-jerking. It’s also gonna make you mad. It’s going to infuriate you. This is last night on Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN. He interviewed Pat Smith, the mother of Sean Smith, computer specialist killed at the US consulate in Benghazi. Anderson Cooper said, “Who told you that they would give you information about Sean’s death?”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3ldyGsZ1Io&feature=player_embedded#t=0s
SMITH: Obama told me. Hillary promised me. They promised me. I told them, “Please, tell me what happened, just tell me what happened.” I told them, “Please, don’t give me any baloney that comes through with this political stuff.” And I still don’t know. In fact, today I just heard something more that he died of smoke inhalation. I look at TV and I see bloody handprints on walls thinking, my God, is that my son’s? They haven’t told me anything. They’re still studying it, and the things that they are telling me are just outright lies. That Susan Rice, she talked to me personally, and she said, “This is the way it was, it was because of this film that came out.”
Anderson Cooper then said, “Susan Rice told you personally she thought it was the result of the video, of the protest?”
SMITH: Oh, absolutely. In fact, all of them did. All of them did. Leon Panetta actually took my face in his hands like this, and he says, “Trust me, I will tell you what happened,” and so far he’s told me nothing, nothing at all. And I want to know. I cried on Obama’s shoulder, and then he kind of looked off into the distance, so that was worthless to me. I want to know, for God’s sakes, or for Allah’s sake or whoever’s sake is there.
Jake Tapper, seemingly the only journalist not afraid of the Obama administration in the mainstream media, has pulled through again.
Jay Carney emerged Wednesday for a press briefing and was quickly met with some questions that many have been waiting for the answers to for weeks. ABC’s Jake Tapper confronted the Press Secretary on the Obama administration’s inconsistent account of the terror attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Tapper explained that President Barack Obama initially accused GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney of “shooting first and aiming later” after he criticized an apologetic statement released by a U.S. Embassy, which falls under the Obama administration. Today, it is clear that the attack had nothing to do with any anti-Muslim YouTube video as the White House initially claimed. In fact, the State Department announced on Tuesday that there weren’t even protests outside the Libya compound before the attack.
This explanation led to Tapper’s question: “Didn’t President Obama shoot first and aim later?”
It went downhill quickly for Carney from there

After Axelrod’s Complaints and DOJ Investigation, Gallup “Tweaks” it’s Polling Methodology to Keep Obama’s Approval Ratings Higher
Chicago fraud, plain and simple.
Earlier this month, the trend line moved in favor of the president, and on Thursday it sat at 53 percent positive and 42 negative — a greater job approval rating than Obama enjoyed after the assassination of Osama bin Laden.
However, this movement may have been provoked by a change in the pollster’s methodology, without which the president may have seen no change in job approval.
“As we began this election tracking program on Oct.1, our methodologists also recommended modifying and updating several procedures,” Gallup CEO Frank Newport wrote on Wednesday.
Gallup increased the proportion of cellphones in its tracking survey from 40 percent, and now splits its calls to cellphones and land lines evenly. Newport defended the switch, saying it was an attempt to “stay consistent with changes in the communication behavior and habits of those we are interviewing.”
“Gallup switched primarily to telephone interviewing a few decades ago based on the increased penetration of phones in American households and the increased costs of going into Americans’ homes for in-person interviewing,” Newport wrote. “Now we know, based on government statistics (and what we observe around us), that Americans are shifting rapidly from reliance on landline phones to mobile devices.”

“Would anybody be surprised if Obama agreed to a joint operation with Israel into Iran in the next couple weeks? If the poll numbers are that bad and if they get worse, would that surprise you?” -Rush Limbaugh
———————————
Yeah because their is nothing more that bleeding heart liberals love then useless wars, that would really drive out the base. lol
@Apple Stinx: >>> Overall, MSNBC’s audience is 32% conservative, 23% moderate. <<<
People like watching a train wreck, I guess.
It just makes me laugh that lbsles constantly uses Rush Limbaugh quotes as if they actually have any use in a debate about politics. Let’s be honest Rush is an entertainer first and foremost who panders to a far right base.
@ Mark,
Bravo for soledad obrien asking the tough question and cornering that hypocrite. She is probably the only persona on CNN who asks meaningful questions.
Darrel Issa is a two faced as well, he is the one who voted to cut embassies funding and now he is leading a witch-hunt against the Obama administration for his own decisions !
I think Obama should emphasize on gaining more younger women votes. The silent majority in this election are women especially younger ones. I never seen them more motivated to vote especially when they know what the Republicans (men specifically) think of them and how they want to make decisions on their behalf. Obama should definitely bring up the women issue in the next debate.
@Mark: >>> Let’s be honest Rush is an entertainer first and foremost who panders to a far right base. <<<
Hmmm. Sounds a lot like when Al Franklin was on the failed "Air America" network, which pandered to the far LEFT base.
Mark: 100k for a charging station and volts in Geneva and I know the Hamptons is a tough neighbor hood but why does the WH chief of staff have a larger security detail than the Ambasador in Lybia on 9-11. Can you say prioritization?
@ Ralph Hahn

Hmmm. Sounds a lot like when Al Franklin was on the failed “Air America” network, which pandered to the far LEFT base.

Let’s be honest here does Rush honestly believe that declaring war for the sake of declaring war is a winning issue for Obama, who needs to do everything possible to drive out his base? I can guarentee you this unless their is a valid reason(ie Israel gets bombed) declaring war with Iran would lose Obama the elction for the simple fact that the base would just get demoralized and not show up.
I don’t think Rush is that stupid to believe what he says, he just is trying to push his own far right agenda that everybody loves war and somehow it’s a winning issue.
@Mark
“Would anybody be surprised if Obama agreed to a joint operation with Israel into Iran in the next couple weeks?
Nope, won’t happen The Israel PM has called for early elections, he will not act until he enacts a coalition and gets a consensus on an attack. This will take a couple of months.
@Steve
Even more reasont o laugh at the Rush statement. I just don’t get why lbsles posts Rush quotes like that add to the argument. I generally do a quick skim but ignore most his posts(suince I feel he is a spammer) but I just burst out laughing when I saw that one.
A Little Note about Danville
If you own any Phillips products, right over a small bridge where the debate is a huge Phillips Factory right beside a large train substation. Danville is also 9 minutes from Perryville.
They have a once a year Civil War re-enactment of the battle of Perryville. We lived 18 months in Danville, it’s where my Daughter who still lives with us, was born as well. It’s a great little town and is as diverse as any city in the United States.
@Mark: Whatever you feel about Rush Limbaugh posted here on this page is just your opinion vs. the poster who posted Limbaugh’s comments. I’m not debating the topic itself. I was just responding to your comments about Limbaugh pandering to the right, by reminding you of the failed Air America network and how Franken and others pandered to the left. Air America is no more while Limbaugh still reigns high on 600 American radio stations.
We are all free to post comments here at the will of the moderators. But, I don’t have to explain that old adage about people who live in glass houses. Not speaks for the mods or insinuating in any way that I have any control here, I would think that if you wanted to quote someone who shares your viewpoints, you are welcome to do so as does lbsles does.
Oops. Typos. sorry
No argument about Air America vs Rush, but even you have to admit how incredibly ridiculous Rush’s statement is, to the point of laughable. As I said it’s pandering to a the warhawk mentality of the far right that somehow declaring war is a winning issue.
Ibsles, keep posting Rush. He is right more often than he is wrong. I don’t get to listen to him so appreciate your posts.
Thanks, lbsles . I hadn’t seen the second half.

What a hypocrite Obama is !
Environmental Group Demands Obama Pull Pro-Coal Obama Ad Spot
Running in two big coal states, the ad claims Romney is not a friend of coal country. Obama’s allies in the environmental movement erupt.
An environmental advocacy group, Forecast the Facts, has launched a petition against President Obama’s pro-coal television ad. Launched last month, the ad is running in big coal states — and swing states — Ohio and Virginia.
