    “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger”

    Bondoel’s motto.

    LOL!!!!!

  • Paul

    Young horny girls watch “Arrow” because of the sexy male star. It has been heavily promoted with sexy images of the male lead on billboards etc…..

  • Paul

    Most of the shows on the air this Fall will be canceled by March. That’s the way it always is. Aw hole new set of mid season replacements are in the wings ready to fill the schedule.

    I don’t know how I feel about Nashville’s rating…I HOPE IT IMPROVES!!!

    The show is simply amazing!!!!

  • Brandy

    Erin, I know but most people have said since it was picked up it’l flop at once,say its should’ve never been made cause the original version is best/only one that matters,or they don’t like Kristin’s acting or think the beast is ugly enough or they think the promos are bad and it will have tough competition or it will be like SC-start strong but be cancelled by Midseason or seasons end.
    I hope Carrie Diaries premieres well, I’ve read the books ,am a SATCfan and think AnnaSophia Robb was a prefect casting for young Carrie.I don’t think the young women’s show argument is true-abcfamily has sucsessful young women shows and CWs are watched online,onitunes,Netflix, by DVr, and do well internationally,in DVD/merchandise sales,do well in w18-34 demo.They just don’t watch live if they’re Neilson families.

    And that’s bad because?

    FOX The X Factor 3.5 – Kinda mediocre, concidering Justin Bieber was a guest mentor. If the Biebs can’t save this show, no one can!
    CBS Survivor: Philippines 2.8 – OK
    ABC The Middle 2.4 – A shame this can’t do better, but it’s still OK.
    CW Arrow -P 1.3 – Excellent!
    NBC Animal Practice 1.1- Cancelled in the next 2 weeks.
    (The CW > NBC :-D )
    ABC The Neighbors 2.0 – Sadly, it won’t be cancelled until mideseason.
    NBC Guys With Kids 1.4 – Even with these numbers it could get a back 9 on NBC. It won’t get renewed, though.

    ABC Modern Family 4.8 – Still doing great.
    CBS Criminal Minds 3.0 – Nice small drop.
    NBC Law & Order: SVU 1.8 – Same as the above.
    CW Supernatural 1.0 – Excellent

    ABC Modern Family 4.9 – Great.

    ABC Nashville -P 2.8 – Good start. The problem is, its lead-in will likely be down ~35%. it could drop to the levels of 666 Park and Last Resort in a matter of weeks.
    CBS CSI 2.6 – Week-to-week increase. That’s a big feat coming out of a season opener.
    NBC Chicago Fire -P 1.9 – OK, as long as it doesn’t fall.

    I am so glad neither Arrow nor SPN were adjusted down. CW must be thrilled. Hopefully Arrow holds those numbers and doesn’t crash and burn like Ringer and SC.

    That’s a bunch of bull and you know it.

    @Brandy, you’ve been practicing for Fan Excuse Bingo, haven’t you?

  • What happened?

    Even though I’m a Britney fan, I’m still not happy with the ratings of X Factor.
    It’s SO disappointing!
    The Voice rules Mondays and Tuesdays with heavy competition.
    Why can’t we Britney fans do that for X Factor?
    Surely Christina is laughing at us. :(

  • Brandy

    Nick & Bill No, this is what I’ve heard and seen for myself and Deadline also said HoD was renewed cause it did well onlinee and Netflix and Nikita cause of Netflix and international revenue.GG and 90210 used to do extremely well in DVr,last year CW even released a press release about Ringer and 90210 solid DVr numbers.Also GG and 90210 used to be in top ten on iTunes according to posters here.people here have said about how well they did in DVD sales.Plus, more and more people watch shows in no traditional manners.Mark Pedowitz also said LAC was renewed cause it did well digitally and I believe he mentioned Ringer did good digitally too but SC didn’t .

  • Lucy

    Well the last series premier on CW to get over 4 million was vampire diaries with 4.91 million, but after the pilot it dropped below 4 million. I highly doubt Arrow will be above 4 million viewers next week, it may well drop to just above 3 million and a 0.9/1.0.

    @John_M

    And that was the last picture taken of Simon before he went to an island to be alone.

    I know the ratings are good, but he ain’t happy.

    He’d probably be happier if he exited the closet he occupies with tom cruise and ryan seacrest

    Bwahhh! Really nice one! :D And I must, which better day than today for that? ;-)

  • silvit

    Edit: And I must say

  • Red Raider

    Chicago Fire….dead show airing right out of the gate…NBC has been nonstop promoting that show for the past four to five weeks…and it opens with a 1.9….WOW!! and it will only go down…

    I’m betting six maybe seven episodes make it to air

    @Bill Gorman
    LOL! I did wonder. Didn’t expect any official confirmation, though. Thanks!

    @Brandy
    None of these external streams of income has a bearing on the fate of new shows because they don’t have an archive of old episodes to sell. And if that income had any real bearing on the fate of Gossip Girl, it would at least have gotten a full final sixth season. Instead, it got as short a half-season as they could manage.

    Now, it’s true that some sources have stated that certain older shows have survived more on auxiliary income than on live advertising. However, these shows also performed adequately-to-well in their A18-49 demo. So, there is no paradox here. While we don’t have all of the factors that contribute to a show’s survival, the A18-49 remains a good general factor by which to judge. We’re not seeing shows with abysmal A18-49 doing well, regardless of what their external income might be. A few might be holding on by their fingernails due to external income, but they are exceptions that prove the rule.

    Also, just to point out that the paranormal/superhero CW shows like Supernatural and Smallville were publicly undervalued by their own network for years because their W18-34 ratings were relatively low compared to shows like Gossip Girl and 90210. But there was never any real evidence that the network renewed shows based on the W18-34 instead of the A18-49 (which was healthy for both SPN and Smallville). In fact, there were shows with higher W18-34 ratings than SPN and Smallville that were still not renewed. The long-term focus by the CW publicity department on the W18-34 demo tends to obscure that and, until recently, made SPN and Smallville look less successful than they were.

    @Paul

    Young horny boys like to watch sexy female stars in stuff like Transformers all the time, yet civilization as we know it still manages to survive. I’m sure it will survive young horny girls watching a hot guy kick butt, too.

    Try to be a little more generous and less of a misogynistic jerk. I don’t get upset about men drooling over hot women as long as it’s reciprocal and women get to have the same privilege. Why should you get upset about the reverse? Do young horny women scare you for some reason?

  • KJ Styles

    I’m now thinking Animal Practice will be the first show cancelled after seeing that it lost to a CW show.

    BIG UPS to Modern Family last night though, loved both episodes :)

  • thesnowleopard

    @Lucy
    I’m sure Mark Pedowitz will not weep, wail, rend his garments, or cancel the show if that’s where it levels out.
