Where would this country be without Liberals?

  • Mark2

^This was a really great scene from West Wing.

  • Sicilian Papa

    Mark 2

Where would this country be without liberals?

No liberal judges to let criminals go with soft sentences including pedophiles.

No women having seven kids with six different fathers on the taxpayer dime.

    No Ab#rtion

No men having seven kids with six different women and we can’t get a dime out of them.

There would at least be shame for having seven children with six different partners.

No public sector unions strangling the taxpayer with outrageous benefits that people can’t get in the private sector.

We would be able to fire teachers that commit crimes in our school including crimes against children.

We would be able to put heinous criminals to death instead of having to pay for their room, board, dental work, health care.

I could go on and on. Yeah Mark 2 where would we be without liberals?

  • Sicilian Papa

    Mark 2

I have many other examples of how liberalism has contributed to the greatness of this country. I am too tired to list them now but I will another time.

Oh and those heinous criminals that we can’t put to death, sometimes we have to foot the bill for them for 50 or 60 years. Some do get out early and kill, rape and molest children.

Where would we be without liberals? That is a good question.

  • Mark2

Nice try there SP but that type of stereotyping and prejudism will get you nowhere with rational people.

  • Coffee Steve

    I give up!

*Bernanke: Fed pumping ‘good for global economy’…

The Fed’s effort “not only helps strengthen the US economic recovery, but by boosting US spending and growth it has the effect of helping support the global economy as well”, Mr Bernanke said on the last day of International Monetary Fund annual meetings in Tokyo on Sunday.

And we wonder why our economy is in the tank?

    Night Everyone

  • Mark2

Conservatives alway seem to be on the wrong side of history:

    1) Conservatives opposed the American Revolution

    2) Conservatives opposed freeing the slaves

    3) Conservatives opposed women’s suffrage

    4) Conservatives opposed minimum wage and child labor laws, the 8-hour work day, weekends, sick leave… etc.

    5) Conservatives opposed humane treatment of animals

    6) Conservatives opposed the Social Security Act

    7) Conservatives oppose clean air and water

    8) Conservatives opposed the Civil Right’s Act

    9) Conservatives opposed Medicare

    10) Conservatives oppose Equal Protection Under the Law

And I won’t even bring up that fact that Conservatives opposed the GI Bill, the First Responder’s Bill, the Veteran’s Jobs Bill, Universal Healthcare for ALL Americans, allowing Gays to serve our Country openly, and equal pay for Women. Well, I guess I just did.

Looks like l”BS”les was in Iowa

A drunken incident exploded at a P.F. Chang’s in Des Moines, Iowa as a woman who claimed to be a Republican began belligerently yelling about politics and had to be removed from the premises by police.

Charlene Hunziker, 47, had too much to drink and decided to bellow loudly to customers about the virtues of voting for Mitt Romney and that President Obama was “ruining our country.” The incident was not captured on video, but her demeanor prompted customers to call police for fear of their safety.

This encounter was locally reported by kitv.com. When police arrived Hunziker “told them they didn’t need to be there because she’s a Republican.”

Police were forced to physically remove the drunken Republican who allegedly said, “she was doing this because she was a good mother.” Hunziker was arrested for public intoxication, and booked into Polk County Jail.

I didn’t know there was a modern conservative movement during the American Revolution?

  • Sicilian Papa

I didn’t know the modern conservative movement was against the humane treatment of animals. So what you are saying is conservatives favor the abuse of Fido and Muffy.

    Talk about rational people.

  • Sicilian Papa

Tell me Mark what great conservative thinker was against freeing the slaves? The modern conservative movement wasn’t even born until the 1960’s. A counter balance to the liberal trend in journalism and the Democrat party.

  • Sicilian Papa

You call what I said stereotyping and prejudice. Those things are the results of liberalism.

If you don’t think they exist then you have your head buried in the sand. You talk about government and legislation.

I am talking about the real human toll. The destruction of our society from within. These things have been going on since the birth of modern liberalism in the 60’s.

Chris Stevens’ Death In Libya Shouldn’t Be Politicized, Father Says

  • Mark

This is the second person to come out against politicizing deaths in Libya. The first one is both sad and funny.

Basically Romney came up with a stump speech about how he met Glen Doherty(one of the marines killed in Lybia) that has been proven to be full of crap

Friends of Doherty have spoken publicly about his encounter with Mr Romney at a Christmas party.

His friend, Elf Ellefsen, told a Seattle radio station: “He said it was very comical. Mitt Romney approached him ultimately four times, using this private gathering as a political venture to further his image.

“He kept introducing himself as Mitt Romney, a political figure. The same introduction, the same opening line. Glen believed it to be very insincere and stale,” Mr Ellefsen added

  • Mark

By the way here is the video of Mitt Romney creating a completely fake story about how he met Glen Doherty(given how the friend points out how Romney basically walked up to the guy 4 times during the night like he met him for the first time each time, but all of a sudden they friends and Mitt knows everything about him, and guess what he is exactly like Mitt in every regard)

Remember how you said Biden is fake, what do you think about Romney making up stories to try push his agenda?

Generally I hate those “Billybob in Timbuktoo” I met on the road stories and all politicans do them because they just feel so fake and I guess this just proves it

  • Mark

Honestly that story Romney tells is one of the most ridiculous made up stories ever.

Here is all the BS in the story

-I met him and we are friends
-He likes to ski and do stuff just like me(see I am a normal person)
-He is a hero, and like him i will fight for the country(basically trying to get a positive rub of a guy in the military’s experience, even though Romney used his Mormonism to avoid going to Vietnam)
-just using any excuse to bring up Libya

I have to guess one of his speech writers wrote up that fable of their meeting. It becomes painfully obvious it fake when you see him give the exact same speech 2 times with the exact same wording like it’s rehearsed

  • AppleStinx

For those who missed the first Presidential debate, here’s the condensed version. (The VP version was posted in another thread)

  • Coffee Steve

    Good Morning Everyone

I didn’t realize Romney was in such good shape :-)

*Pelosi claims she read entire 2700 page Obamacare bill…

    That’s very believable Nancy

  • Coffee Steve

I’m just posting this for FYI

With some recent data showing that with every year we continue to drop CO2 levels the amount of green house gasses goes down and that it in fact does help, so I do believe now, mankind does contribute to it, just a question of how much is man-made and how much is natural, it also shows to me there in fact is a man-made factor in Global Warming, but this study is interesting if you wish to read it.

*REPORT: Global warming stopped 16 years ago…
