What are you talking about? You comparing people that lived a 150 years ago to people that are in the conservative movement today.

That was like your statement that conservatives were against the Revolutionary War.

    Libya: Pants On Fire

Forbes contributor, Larry Bell, released an article late last night entitled, “Pants On Fire: Obama Administration Scrambles for Cover as Benghazi Lie Explodes.”

    and…….

Yesterday, the NYT’s had an article trying to puzzle their way through the Obama Administration’s lies & changing stories on the Libya debacle. After depicting several reasons , the author came up with the most plausible explanation.

“Perhaps, then, the real explanation for the White House’s anxiety about calling the embassy attack an act of terror has less to do with the “who” than with the “where.” This wasn’t Al Qaeda striking just anywhere: it was Al Qaeda striking in Libya, a country where the Obama White House launched a not-precisely-constitutional military intervention with a not-precisely-clear connection to the national interest.”

Attentive readers remember the Administration’s “Doctrine to Protect,”which drew us into Libya(but not Syria where many more have been slaughtered). Our Country has the ‘War Powers Act’ which says says that the president must obtain congressional authorization for a military action within 60 days (extendable to 90) Obama ignored two of his staff attorney’s recommendations , attorney shopped, until he found one who said this was unnecessary, because we didn’t have boots on the ground. Instead the administration described it as “time-limited, scope-limited, kinetic military activity” This is what the NYT’s author is referring to.

The Times then zings both Romney & Obama. “If the Republican nominee were less reflexively hawkish, the White House might be facing the more comprehensive critique THAT IT DESERVES — and the story wouldn’t be about just the specifics of Benghazi, but also the possibility that Obama’s entire policy in the region has put American interests and lives at risk. ”

Looking at it this way , the few guards around the consulate perimeter were not allowed to be armed, repeated requests for additional help was denied ,

Obama Regime Had $2 Billion In Unused Money For Consulate Security At Time Of Benghazi Attack…

My criticism of modern day liberalism is based on what liberalism is doing today. I know you think I am being bigoted and stereotypical but that is too bad. I have seen the things I listed first hand and I stand by them.

President Barack Obama holds small leads among likely voters nationwide, according to two polls released Monday morning, although Mitt Romney remains in striking distance.

One poll, from ABC News and the Washington Post, shows Obama leading Romney 49 percent to 46 percent, little change from their survey in late September that showed Obama up by 2 points. Thirty-seven percent of likely voters have a more favorable view of Romney following his performance in the first debate in Denver, compared with a mere 8 percent who now have a more positive impression of the president. But 72 percent said the debate did not change how they view Obama, and 47 percent indicated that their views of Romney were unchanged.

Remember back when the GOP denied the polls, called them rigged, then it’s the jobs numbers. Well chew on this. ;)

Michelle Obama: ‘We Are in the Midst of a Huge Recovery’

First Lady Michelle Obama said in a radio interview on Friday that the United States is in the “midst of a huge recovery” because of what “this president has done.”

Pablo Sato, co-host of Pablo & Free on WPGC 95.5, a Washington, D.C.-area hip-hop radio station, asked the first lady: “Mrs. Obama, you know what, in your words, tell us what you think the state of the union is in right now?”

Mrs. Obama said, “I mean, we are seeing right now that we are in the midst of a huge recovery. Right? Because of what this president has done.”

    Free: “Yes.”

Obama: “Pulled this economy from the brink of collapse when we were losing 800,000 jobs a month. Now were gaining every — throughout most of his presidency, we’ve been adding jobs to this economy because of what he’s been doing. The stock market has doubled. Housing prices are rising. Foreclosure rates are lowering. But in the face of that, you still have people trying to convince us that things aren’t better.”

    Free: “Uh huh.”

Obama: “And that just doesn’t make sense. Now, Barack of all people knows that we still have a long way to go to completely rebuild the economy. But we’re headed in the right direction. And when you see all of that truth, it’s hard to understand why are people blocking this? Why are people talking about not raising taxes on wealthy people? Why is it that people don’t want to fight to make sure that veterans have job opportunities?”

Free: “They just like to talk, Mrs. Obama.”

    Obama: “Yeah. Yeah.”

According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), the real gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.3 percent in the second quarter of 2012, down from 2.0 percent from first quarter 2012.

The BEA data also show GDP growth of (negative) – 3.1 percent in 2009; 2.4 percent in 2010; and 1.8 percent in 2011.

In addition, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows that the national unemployment rate is 7.8 percent, the same rate as when Barack Obama was inaugurated as president in January 2009.

God!! Who are these Fox News hacks on my TV? Talking bout Libya with Megan Kelly, ah nobodies!

    They have no shame!
The father of former U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, who was killed in an attack on a U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya last month, said that it would be “abhorrent” to politicize his son’s death in the presidential campaign.
The Romney campaign has tried to politize the incident in an effort to try to chip away at one of President Obama’s strengths: foreign policy. Romney himself has repeatedly attacked Obama and his administration’s response to the Sept. 11 Libya attacks. But Jan Stevens, Chris Stevens’ father, criticized using the issue for political gain and urged patience for full investigation to complete, Bloomberg news reports:
“It would really be abhorrent to make this into a campaign issue,” Jan Stevens, 77, said in a telephone interview from his home in Loomis, California, as he prepares for a memorial service for his son next week. […]
The ambassador’s father, a lawyer, said politicians should await the findings of a formal investigation before making accusations or judgments.
“The security matters are being adequately investigated,” Stevens said. “We don’t pretend to be experts in security. It has to be objectively examined. That’s where it belongs. It does not belong in the campaign arena.” Stevens said he has been getting briefings from the State Department on the progress of the investigation.

Conservatives were against the Revolutionary War. Jefferson, Washington, were liberals? They were slave owners weren’t they? So liberals advocated slavery during the Revolutionary War because conservatives were against the war. The conservatives must have been the consensus objectors and abolitionists.

  • Mark2

The republican Party continues to go further and further right. What ever happened to guys like Reagan? Oh that’s right, you pushed guys like him and his way of thinking out of your party as well. If he were around today preaching what he preached back then, you guys would call him a liberal, a socialist, and made even a communist.

  • PaulG

Voter suppression or voter fraud aren’t very consequential when you consider,,that although illegals living in this country aren’t allowed to vote in the presidential election,,their impact on the outcome of the electoral college could determine the outcome…All individuals are counted in the census,,whether here legally or not and a state like California is given 5 additional electoral votes,,conversely a state like Montana with only 3 electoral college votes actually loses 1 vote..Totally stinks….

    @Jeff
Doesn’t he believe that his magic underwear will protect him???

C’est quelque chose de pourri-à-dire ! Vous avez été de mieux en mieux.

Gee, Jeff , when even the NYT’s chimes in as my c/p & paraphrased tome stated , Libya’s problems ,with 4 Americans dead, is more than political . It boils down to our whole foreign policy decisions. It would be noteworthy if you watch the whole Congressional hearing on Libya before c/ping . I’m sure you can find it on C-span.

With Gas Prices at Record Levels Obama Cuts Off Drilling in Half of Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve

President Obama is campaigning as a champion of the oil and gas boom he’s had nothing to do with, and even as his regulators try to stifle it. The latest example is the Interior Department’s little-noticed August decision to close off from drilling nearly half of the 23.5 million acre National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska.

No, we have a right to ask questions about the attack and the cover up. The family has a right to not have their sons name dragged around but at the same time we have a right to the truth.

We should ask for the truth. This is cover for Obama so he doesn’t get asked about Embassy Gate at the debate. The left knows it will seal his fate.

    @USN

This one is really starting to Tick me off

*Jurisdictions in Vermont, Michigan, Mississippi and Wisconsin have failed to mail absentee ballots to military members by the Sept. 22, 2012, deadline established by the MOVE Act. That was 45 days before the November 6 elections, which was what was required.

Rep. Buck McKeon, R-Calif., chairman of the House Armed Services Committee; Rep. Daniel E. Lungren, R-Calif., chairman of the House Administration Committee; and Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to the Defense and Justice departments reading:

“We are concerned that, absent prompt and effective remedial action, some men and women in uniform will be deprived of the 45-day window to vote guaranteed by the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act.”

My Nephew thanks heavens will (should) be home to cast his vote this time, he got screwed 4 years ago while in Iraq.

  • Jeff

@rattoy, ask Bill Goram I’m sure he would be most happy to weed me out for you, since you are so deeply distressed and have such an interest. I suppose from your perspective repeating the whole sock puppet remark, makes you feel that somehow it helps your claims comments and views. Hope all is good back home for you, especially while I catch up on my sites and while you cruise your wacky looney right wing sites. But that’s just from my perspective.

  • Coffee Steve

I hate to get people upset and I hate to scare anyone but eh.. Well… uh… I been going over some electoral maps? And Uh…

If the charts stay the same boys and girls, Romney NOR Obama will get enough electoral votes and the House of Reps will pick…

Now that would be fun huh?
