Deadline reports that NBC has decided to call it quits on Next Caller after four episodes (out of the six ordered) were filmed.  Apparently NBC didn't like the creative direction of the comedy starring Dane Cook.  According to the report, production has been shut down and the filmed episodes will not air.

Hahaa never heard of it but so happy!! I cannot stand Dane Cook!! One of the most annoying comedians/ actors in the world!!

NBC cancelling a show because it was bad is just stupid. If crap like Grimm and The Voice have an audience, so this show could work too.

I’m not surprised because Dane Cook couldn’t be any UNfunnier if his name was Don Rickles. Remember a few years ago when Dane Cook was the voice over guy for the MLB Playoffs (commercials)? “There’s only ONE…OCTOBER!” SHUT UP!!!! The guy can’t speak unless those blood vanes on the side of his neck are bulging out. I once tried watching that “Employee” movie he made with “dumb as a doornail” Jessica Simpson. I don’t know who, or what, was worse about that movie. Dane Cook seriously needs to go find a new career. Actually, I think NBC just realized they were copying Matthew Perry’s “Go On” tv series and pulled the plug; from the radio call-in aspect. Anyway, bottom line…GOOD-BYE DANE! You worthless idiot!

This reminds me to DAY ONE: a couple of years ago.Canceled without even air an episode.

Dane cook is the most unfunny comedian in show business

It starred Dane Cook! That should be a network’s cue to avoid at all costs!

I had never heard of this guy before that Louie episode. There wasn’t great buzz around this show, so not surprised.

This was the No Brain Company’s only marginally-amusing sitcom pilot and the only one with good production values, so, naturally, cancelled. Gotta make room for Josh Gad mugging for the camera, Anne Heche talking to God and pod people, and more YAY!GAY! programming, don’t you know?

SOOO NOT FAIR! I was really looking forward to seeing Dane again =/
