I’m surprised nobody is talking about X Factor…

  • Greg

Okay, you got me there. I will accept that I was wrong about Seinfeld.

That’s exactly it. I think 6 seasons are enough for The Vampire Diaries and I can see it struggling in the last two seasons. Sadly, I think the show will live longer than that.

“All these and more were serialized storylines.”

I am compelled to mention my favorite, George serving as the Assistant To The Traveling Secretary of the NEW YORK YANKEES! (hat doff, and spin around)

    @ snowleopard

Seeing that TSC has a huge global following and was a massive DVR hit what you sai dmeans VERY LITTLE.

    @ Addy

    What evurr

  • CrimTV

DVR ratings don’t matter for renewal prospects!

  • David

@Greg is all it did was struggle last season I would’ve been happy. The last season they used the same plots over and over again with Klause and his family. I finally thought he would die and they could move on to some new blood, but that didn’t happy. I hope this season will be better (haven’t watched the premiere yet) because it was painful to watch last season.

  • Honey Badger

    @ Michael a 2.9 for X Factor

The X Factor is a very expensive show with the judges and Simon’s salary.
    Britney Spears’ $15 Million
Simon Cowell $75 million a season payday
At what ratings does this show become unprofitable?

    Bad for Fox

  • Michael

Secret Circle was huge on DVR? O.o

  • SPM

    They have in the past.

TSC was cancelled because Mark Pedowitz didn’t like it, that much is obvious.

  • SPM

    @ Michael

It was indeed, look for the story on this site.

You guys there is no need to argue over tvd. All the fans know that it can be a great show so there is no need to try and prove ppl wrong. They will probably never watch an episode in their lives anyways, so it no use.

I am just thrilled that it did not adjust down after everyone saying that it would adjust down by .3 or .4, and nothing that anyone else can say will ruin that for me :)

I watch a few CW shows… Nikita and TVD… I used to watch Supernatural but don’t anymore. I don’t like we people just lump all fans of that Network as teens who don’t like TV shows with a more complex arc. Total BS. The same could be said for the fans of Greys Anatomy. A show i have tried to watch a thousand times over and could never get into it. Or Desperate Housewives. Both those shows were trash IMO and yet they weren’t on The CW.

I was a huge fan of last watched till the bitter end and was disappointed at the ending because it basically made all other story lines and premises pointless and void. I absolutely love Homeland. One of my favorite shows from last season. While I may love Vampire Diaries I loath True Blood. It lacked the better story Arcs that Vampire Diaries has… Yes i can admit that TVD gets a bit soapy at times but the Mythology of it all is there and its fantastic. True blood tries to make up for it with blood, gore and sex all mixed in one. All those blaming Kevin Williamson for TVD sucking should realize that JP does for more work on that show them him. I would blame the lazy writing moments on her and not him. Just saying.

If Mark Pedowitz really hated The Secret Circle, why did he pick up the pilot to series and place it behind CW’s highest rated show? It was cancelled because of it’s large ratings drop across the season and it was expensive!

  • Aeiouy

    Nailed it.

Poor debates always pump and dump nbcs sitcoms.

  • iMember

@CrimTV Mark didn’t pick up TSC, it was Dawn Ostroff who picked it up and set up the schedule for last season.

TSC was the superior show to BatB. And it’s no question that BatB will get cancelled. You’ll see.

  • Nick

    They have in the past.

TSC was cancelled because Mark Pedowitz didn’t like it, that much is obvious.

No, it was cancelled beause Hart of Dixie had better ratings in the spring.

  • MK

so…TVD is low quality show because its on CW but TBBT with 4 retarded guys with idiot jokes is high quality cos its on CBS

  • Michael

    For the week:

    1) Vampire Diaries
    2) Arrow
    3) Beauty And The Beast
    4) Supernatural
    5) Hart Of Dixie
    6) 90210
    7) Gossip Girl

    * No new episode of ANTM, this week.*

*Nikita and Emily MD have yet to air*

Do you guys expect a big shift, once these two shows air? More or less the same?

  • christina

i agree with you in that Mark P. didnt hate the secret circle, but it was actually Dawn Ostroff that picked it up and made the scheduling for that season.
