Those numbers for NBC are atrocious.

Beauty and the Beast equaled Ringer’s premiere numbers. Can it sustain it’s numbers or sink like a rock? Time will tell.

  • David

BB was ok and I will stick with it, but it will drop further than Arrow because its viewers increased because TVD got insane numbers. Loving the diverse shows on the CW this year and hope they keep it up.

@John_M: given the condescending TVBTN tone re: adjustments, I’m all for TVD fans rubbing our noses in it!

And NO show is able to be good for so long.

    Really?

    Seinfeld
    Friends
Not sure how long hill street blues or st elsewhere were on
    Cheers

@John M, was comment a personal affront for you?

  • Tony ^_^

The CW must be happy that they had 4 shows over a 1.0 this week! :D

But they will be happier if “Arrow” and “Beauty and the Beast” don’t become “Ringer” or “The Secret Circle” (in terms of ratings).

Wow! That is a seriously great performance from The Vampire Diaries. I was hopeful it could hold the 1.6 as I read somewhere that the half hours were 1.6/1.7 but in truth I expected an adjustment down by at least a tenth. Glad I was wrong.

  • Marcelo

@Greg well then Friends was the only exception in this case lol

  • Marcus Vinicius

    TAHM and TBBT Up! :D

  • Martin

Yah for TVD and BATB did good too.

About 0.2 above my predictions for TVD but down about 0.2million, BATB up 0.1 and about 0.2million from what I thought, so not too bad. Emily Owens has its work cut out for it next week though, although if it can’t premiere decently enough with everywhere else of note in that hour having the presidential debate on, that is bad, good idea from the cw on premiere their shows against the debates.

As long as it spurs traffic I’m betting you’re for it.

The problem I have with the ‘crowers’ after the fact is that if it had been adjusted down (and the popularity of the NFL in pittsburgh made it likely) they wouldn’t have said a word.

People who only chirp up when they’re right with hindsight bother me that’s all. People who can’t admit when they’re wrong are people who aren’t useful in my opinion. You can’t learn if you can’t admit you’re wrong.

Then again, we are talking CW fans here, I should lower my expectations

    So sad.

The best new show to premeire on ABC since Journeyman and it is in the worst timeslot imaginable.

Does anyone remember what timeslot Journeyman had??

  • Jay

Glad Big Bang went up three tenths. 4.5 sounds much better.

    @Toni

Atrocious spelling is always an affront to me, extatic isn’t a word

Even tho B&TB adjusted down, the CW must be extremely happy with those numbers. Personally i cant these those ratings holding up for B&TB, I watched the premier and i cant say i was too impressed.

The VD will be renewed until the CW goes out of business or the cast decides to movie on – its the only show the CW can count on for consistently high numbers.

  • Toni

    @Robert Seidman
To be perfectly fair, TVBTN tweets weren’t all I was referring to. You had reason to believe they would be adjusted down. The “fans” who ship Damon and Elena, OTOH, wanted it adjusted down for spite. Glad I don’t ship couples. I just like to enjoy TV.

  • John_M

Come on – where’s the total viewers excuse for Last REsort, I need that for my other bingo

  • Ricardo

    That’s really an 1.6! Ahah!
