Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

@eridapo
ABC had a terrible pilot development cycle 2011/12 season
That has nothing to do with it.
Networks simply can’t take new shows and use them to replace other new shows that failed this early in the season.
For midseason? Sure. For November sweeps? Absolutely not.
@Tyson
Thannks for the FOX Sports info, btw – I’m not as up to Speed as I usually am with that stuff
I love the haters of Revenge, this season has been earning way more viewers then what last season did so if it got renew last season then you can be beat they will renew it this year. I am so proud of Revenge, 8 million is wonderful for this show.
good for TM
What the heck is happening to broadcast TV across the board? It is unbelievable that The Walking Dead garnered 10.9 million total viewers but OUAT could not pull at least 10 million viewers with only its third episode of the season. And I’m hoping Revenge doesn’t slip under 8 million viewers. IMO, Baseball was a flop. The animated comedies garner a higher average demo than that. I wonder how The Walking Dead would perform on regular network TV. It would be the most youngest skewing drama on TV and could pull in as many viewers as NCIS.
Hoping OUAT adjusts up, it needs to stabilize between 2.7 and 3.1, IMO
FOX is having a disapointing year IMO. The Mob Doctor is dead, comedies weren’t great, baseball flops….YIKES!
666 is dead which sucks. The third episode was really good and the show was finding its stride
As for people saying things about revenge doing poorly. It is almost a lock for renewal given abcs drama woes.
The Good Wife is good TV. Lots of story lines. Some episode specific, some on going. Human interest aspect without soap opera feel. Everything connects. Good pace is well edited. GLAD FRANKLIN AND BASH RENEWED!
LOVE “REVENGE.” Please get the kind of ratings you need to get renewed.
how can anyone think 666 park avenue is a good show? There is nothing scary or suspenseful about it. The show overal is a bore and the plot is going at snail-pace. I think they are making stuff up as they go along.
American Horror Story is scary, creepy, fun.
666 Park Avenue is boring. It has a soap opera feel, a badly-made soap opera with a supernatural twist. It reminds me of Passions. And the acting is really bad.
I hope OUAT can stay in that spot, I would hate to see it drop again but I do believe that it is getting a little boring to me. I know that are bringing together multiple fairytale and what not but it is not grabbing me like before. Revenge did great but I think it might be adjusted down, either, good news for it!!
666 Park Slope, I’m past worried now. You are just dead now, ABC just need to let it go off right now and show repeats of DH or something. I don’t know but just please let this show go because it hits a 1.1.
Out of the Freshmen Dramas, I don’t believe ABC has hit their mark. Last Resort, 666 Park Slope and Nashville were sort of disappointments though Nashville didn’t do so bad, I thought it was have cracked 3.0 and I hope that it can keep that 2.6 for the next episodes.
Good for Revenge, slightly troubling for Once Upon a Time. The absolute ratings are still fine, but it’s the week-on-week drops that worry me. Hopefully the trend reverses with the arrival of Captain
HotHook next week.Why haven’t audiences connected with The Good Wife? It’s scary how sharp that show has remained 3+ years in. By the way, The Mentalist, which started at 10:22, (and is likely to adjust up when the Good Wife overrun is factored out in the finals) rated higher than Hawaii 5-0 on Monday. Of course, H50 still has the edge when it comes to renewal.
Fox got unlucky that the more appealing LCS (Tigers-Yankees) is on Tbs… At least from my point of view the sport of baseball still has millions and millions of fans but it markets terribly!!! Young baseball fans are more interested in the end of a terrible football game (FANTASY FOOTBALL) then the NLCS and it shows in the ratings… It sickens me nothing is being done from the commissioner’s office
666 is so good! Just goes to show people in america like to watch crap dramas and reality crap.
@Mark3
Just goes to show people in america like to watch crap dramas and reality crap.
This might seem stupid to some readers but ABC made a HUGE mistake naming it’s show 666 Park Avenue. Many religious people will not watch the show for that reason. This is not a nutty observation. If the show were called Park Avenue versus 666 Park Avenue, it would be doing better in the ratings. I know people who have told me that they will not watch the show because of the 666. Hollywood doesn’t get how offensive that is to many religious people…..
@Mike
This might seem stupid to some readers but ABC made a HUGE mistake naming it’s show 666 Park Avenue
First, ABC didn’t name the show. The show is based off of a book with that name and neither Warner Bros. or ABC decided it warranted a change.
If the show were called Park Avenue versus 666 Park Avenue, it would be doing better in the ratings.
Second, are you seriously suggesting that people who have a problem with the use of the number 666 are not going to have a problem with a supernatural drama based around a demonic force possessing an apartment building and its tenants?
Really?
Is this the “we have no problem with Satan as long as you don’t mention his name” crowd?
I bet it’s a great book. Anyone know? lol
