Other hosting credits include, among others, “The Mix Up with Khloé Kardashian Odom,” a daily radio show on Dallas’s MIX 102.9, and a season on E!’s “Fashion Police.” Odom and her sisters are co-owners of DASH boutiques, with locations in L.A., Miami, and N.Y. Their Kardashian Khaos store is based in Las Vegas. Other ventures include two fragrances, the Kardashian Kollection line, K-Dash clothing line for QVC and a cosmetics line, among others.

Named as one of Forbes magazine’s Top 100 celebrities, Odom has always made an effort to stay connected with her fans. Her KhloeKardashian.celebuzz.com blog gets six million visits a month, and she has more than seven million Twitter followers.

    …aaaaand – cancelled.”

couldn’t have said it better myself

  • David

Both of them should be cheap and Britney will be gone because they afford to pay her for another season with these ratings, they will be switching up judges. Demi better try everything she can to stay because after publicist used her “problems” to relaunch her career as an r&b singer, she still hasn’t done too good. If she is gone from this show her career will be done (even though she’s a great singer).

  • eridapo

    Dumb. Dumb. Simon is desperate.

  • MJDB

That’s pretty good, I love The X Factor and I like both of them.

  • I like this show

LOL Only one of those 3 possess any talent at all. Any guesses as to who has the talent?

  • Laura

what’s up with all that hate, britneys or demis career does not depend on the x factor, however mario lopez it’s a great host, haven’t you see him in ABDC? and khloe its the most likeable kardashian, give her a chance. its wayy too easy to judge people when you’re not on their shoes. stop the hate, the envy and enjoy the contestants, thats what is all about.!

  • Luke

Haha, way to give the show more prestige and weight.

  • Hihi1212

    Love it!
@david Demi is a pop singer sorry.
Try googling Demi before judging her???
@sj cancelled? How many shows do the Kardashians have??? All of which get over 2 million views. A lot of cable shows (and the cw) would love to have that…

  • Boris

The first day she hosts I will stop watching this show.

  • rob60990

Khloe K? Were the ratings not low enough?

  • Sam

Seems like a last ditch attempt to save the show!
Even Britney Spears couldn’t save this damn ‘competition’ from failing, and they paid her 15-20 MILLION!! Hope Demi’s enjoying that 750,000 dollar salary.

Next season Britney will be gone, they couldn’t afford her again (plus, she probably wants off the ship before it goes down even further). Demi will be praying she’ll stay, but they’ll likely fire her. LA Reid will be gone. The show WILL get renewed, I don’t have any doubt about that because despite not performing as well as last year, it’s consistently performing well enough for Fox on Wed/Thur.

I think people should be more concerned about The Voice after this season. 2 new judges which kind of breaks the dynamic which makes the show so attractive to the audience (Adam/Christina arguing). In my opinion, I believe both shows shouldn’t exist. Neither is better than the other because at the end of the day, the chairs aren’t turned away for The Voice live shows, making it EXACTLY what the X Factor is from the beginning.

We’ll see. The Voice will be renewed, no doubt about it… The X Factor will also be renewed, but next season will likely be it’s last.

  • bluejay72

    hahaha! :D
I thought Simon cared for the flopping show…
turns out he’s hating it himself! :)
First, Britney is useless. She failed terribly to bring in viewers and then a Kardashian?
This is a great way to secure a cancellation card!
Way to go… to the dustbin! :)

  • Jiji Moran

Mario is okay. But, Khloe? Has she hosted… anything… before?

  • Cindy

They chose Mario Lopez for his looks. I get that. But Khloe?

  • David

    @Hihi1212

Why Google someone that I already know about. I am a fan of her voice because she’s a great singer, but she was a pop-rock singer and repackaged as an r&b singer. I prefer her better now than the stuff she did when she was on Sonny with a Chance. Demi even said herself that she was going in an r&b direction several times so maybe you should do what you suggest. R&B is not in 2012 what is was before and they packaged her in a current r&b package with the help of hip hop and rnb producers and some features on the album.

  • Angel

Headline should read: “Simon Desperate, Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez to Host ‘The X Factor’ Starting in November”…LOL

I don’t watch but, I just get the feeling that the show is flopping big time.

  • ron

Im a britney fan and britney is a great add for the show imagine if only paula or nicole still on it the show will be worst i believe this move is horrible :s simon is really desperate to get ratings and that is why he is usingh “celebrities” as host!

britney is not teh problem people just dont like what the x factor brings anymore! people think they copy The voice and it was the other way!

  • Mark

You guys are acting like Simon just picked hosts to try and save the show. He’s been looking for hosts since the summer and just now announced his decision. The X Factor is not going to get cancelled by the way, FOX is in too bad of shape right now.

  • Tyson

Mario Lopez has a lot of hosting experience. Simon could (and did last year) make a worse choice.

I won’t ever be convinced that Khloe Kardashian is the right choice. Of all the communications graduates in the world, of all the women working on TV somewhere in the world, Simon picks a reality star with no hosting experience.

Khloe seems to be nicer than her siblings. I could say that about some of you. Does that make you qualified to host a live TV show?
