   Poor Alphas. I was hoping for another Summer Glau boost, but the curse strikes yet again.

   Sad to see S@B fall again, especially with next week being the season finale. If the show continues with these kinds of ratings next season, I don’t see it being picked up for a 3rd.

   CM Punk is really what’s keeping RAW above 4 million viewers a week. Nobody cares about John Cena anymore. And don’t get me started on Ryback.

   Alphas would of been in this situation with or without Summer Glau. That said the death of Alphas has pretty much made this a race between Warehouse 13 and Haven for renewal.

   Even with a brand new set, Jennifer Aniston (post-engagement first sit down interview, and all the advertisement they did for the Chelsea Lately show it still tanked.

   I agree with you. I saw the decline of this show coming from the way the ratings of Season 1 were heading. Nothing to do with the overall quality of the show, more an issue with the Nielsen viewers who view the channel not being interested.

   Summer Glau is just unfortunate in that she seems to join sinking ships.

   True, SAB has dipped, but I don’t think it’s enough to raise flags about a cancellation. A lot of people probably didn’t think it would get a second season either, but it did. Honestly, ABC Family can’t bank on PLL alone and I doubt TLG will come back with a boom. And if Bunheads was any indication on how the new pilots will do then I don’t see them having luck with those. I think ABCFam needs to realize that PLL is the exception and really SAB is doing fine for the network, and really you’re not taking into account how it does in other demos that are important for ABCFam to consider. I’m not saying it will last forever, but I am going to wait and see before making a judgment call.

    It’s just a sad fact that Summer Glau tends to be on shows that tend to get cancelled. I wish just one show with her would stick around. The finicky Nielsen viewers are to blame.

    Guess Monday Night Football’s drop was because of the domination of the Chargers to a 24-0 halftime lead. A lot of people, including myself, thought the game was O-V-E-R. Yet the 35-0 second half for the Denver Broncos is proof that you should keep watching to the end. Bet a lot of people woke up absolutely stunned at the final score. An unbelievable second half for Peyton Manning. The legend just grew.

    Since S@B finale is next week..what will be filling its timeslot in the coming weeks? I’m not positive but there aren’t any other series currently airing on ABCFAMILY right now right?

    Everyone knew S@B would get a second season. It did well enough in Summer 2011 to easily secure itself a 2nd season. When it came back in January it started off really well and then progressively declined in both total viewers and demo. It’s done the same thing since it came back last month. It’s hovered around 1.5 million viewers and a 0.6 demo. If the show was in its 3rd or 4th season I definitely wouldn’t be worried about cancellation, but it’s just finishing its 1st season. If ratings don’t improve next season, I can see ABC Family canceling it after the 2nd season is finished. Ratings are always at their highest in a show’s 1st and 2nd seasons. If this is as good as S@B is going to do from here on out, the network will be OK with that but a while, but not for a 3rd season. There’s no way, regardless of how the new shows do.

    Peyton Manning is a regular season legend. He’s 9-10 in the playoffs. He has choked a lot with very talented teams. He’s like Brett Favre, 1 SB and a bunch of choke jobs.

    Yes, S@B is currently the only series airing on ABC Family right now. I really don’t know what the network is going to do for the month of November. The only thing I do know is that they are airing a special Christmas episode of Secret Life on Nov. 19.

    I wanted to add that I meant with ratings where they are right now, and ratings normally declining the longer a show is on, S@B’s ratings cannot dip further next season or a 3rd season is out of the question.
