H50 goes up almost in viewers and demo even though it was preempted in SD (top 10 tv market). Revolution goes up 4/10s yet the Voice is unchanged. Castle gains 340K in total viewers when compare to last week yet loses 225K viewers in the demo (2/10s of a point), so it had 565k additional older viewers.

    Strange numbers folks..

  • Overdamoon

So glad and relieved H50 got adjusted up. :)

Partners should really be cancelled by now. I’m really surprised it wasn’t adjusted down due to MNF in San Diego. The game was over before 9pm so CBS affiliate in San Diego didn’t need to preempt 2BG, M&M and H50.

  • erin

what’s happen to Castle? I don’t ever remember it starting so low. wow.

  • The End

Nielsen viewers prefering to watch Revolution over Castle and H50.

  • TM

I don’t understand why people get worried over Castle when they see that H5O was adjusted up. It doesn’t make sense to compare a show to its competition on another network. If you want to really know how it’s doing, you have to look at the other 10PM shows on ABC (Scandal, Private Practice, 666 Park Avenue,Nashville) and see if they’re doing better. Private Practice is at a 1.6 demo, Scandal is only in its second season and already loses half it’s lead-in, 666 is one step away from cancellation and for Nashville it’s still to early to tell. Would any other show do better for ABC at 10PM after DWTS? Probably not. So as long as H5O or Revolution don’t magically teleport to ABC, the network really has no other show ( Not to mention that H5O has a lot less retention out of 2Broke Girls than Castle has out of DWTS).

  • Melanie

Good for Revolution — still up from last week.

CBS has to be very unhappy with Partners – wonder if its depressing TBG? Mike & Molly is hanging in and H5O perking up from its lackluster premiere is a good thing.

  • Petar Ivanov

@Partners should really be cancelled by now.

When in the end CBS cancel it only in this site will be at least 10 pages with opinions like why wait so much or too late or shoking and most opinions will be FINALLY.

ps When in Mondays NBC at 10 pm beat 3 of CBS sitcoms you know that something is not right.

  • Melanie

P.S. That ‘You might like’ thing is annoying.

  • The End

Personally I would pull The Partners and put Two and a Half Men before 2 Broke Girls.

    Perhaps next season?

    2 broke girls!

  • Sam

These final adjustments are nothing to celebrate . Truth is that NBC Revolution has crashed the competition. A 2.1 / 2 demo for any scripted show is a terrible result.Unless you are the CW. LOL. Hawaii and Castle may have syndication deals, but the numbers are pathetic.

  • Trey

    @Petar Ivanov

If NBC had TWD they would have ruined it. They can’t seem to keep their hands out of the creative process, it’s why they never have any good shows.

I have no idea why anyone would be worried about Castle. Yes it skews older but its having great retention with a smaller DWTS audience then usual. Its got some of the highest drama viewership for ABC. Look for Castle being renewed for season 6. I can’t see why it won’t. I could see Castle going 8 seasons. Anyone else?

I don’t see it going 8, but I do see it getting seven seasons. The show has become a solid (if you call a 2.0 demo solid) performer. With the collapse of DWTS, it has maintained the same ratings as it did in the spring while other shows on the net are much weaker. Let be honest a 2.0 or better at 10PM is like saying a 2.5 at 9PM or 8PM.

I see Castle’s ratings from here till the end of the year fluctuating between a 2.0 and 2.2. It will get its sixth season. I also see it staying in the same spot next year, and then shifting to a Friday spot for its 7 and final season.

  • Chris

People are worried about Castle because they remember how much it tends to fall as the season goes on. And when you’re starting out at this level–and are in last place in your timeslot–you really don’t have a lot of leeway.

Revolution is hurting BOTH the other dramas in that timeslot, but H50 is definitely in better shape than Castle. Castle is already in off-net syndication on TNT, and thus does not need another season for syndication purposes (particularly since its syndication ratings have been horrible).

It’s a given that Castle will fall below 2.0 in the demo–the question is, how far below? Series-lows seem likely, and the series-low for Castle is really really low.

  • erin

When you start using the poor performance of DWTS to justify the Castle ratings, you know you have a problem. Castle is a 5 year old show. It should have its loyal fanbase. The fact that it needs a strong DWTS to get solid ratings, says a lot.

Let ABC try the show at 8:00 with absolutely zero lead in… I bet you it collapses

  • eridapo

    @ Chris..

Haha… Love your Castle hating, but your facts are always incorrect.

For the last 15 episodes, Castle has average a 2.1. It has gone from 1.9 to 2.3, but it always doesn’t deviate much from the 2.1.

The Gunsmoke rule applies here. If you want a fare comparison, you have to judge both H50 and Castle to their spring numbers. Prior to this last spring NBC Mondays was a wasteland for almost 4 years, so the only way to adequately compare their results this year is to compare them to Spring (when The Voice change the Monday night equation).

  • Petar Ivanov

@ Personally I would pull The Partners and put Two and a Half Men before 2 Broke Girls.

TAHM will ended after TBBT. This season or next. Better next, this season is more funny than last.

May be Rules first, TBBT repeats, and a litle bit friend me 6 episodes i think. Friend me will be bad as partners is but at least ruls and BBT repeats will be ok. Bad year for 2BG.

  • Flame

No adjustment down for a football preemption? When has that happened the last time, if ever?

  • eridapo

    @ Erin.

Castle’s audience is loyal… The show even with lousy lead-ins (“You Deserve it”, MF repeat, and “Skating with the Starts”) has maintained a rating no lower than 1.9. From episode 8 of last year, the ratings have been 2.1 and 10.4M viewers.

I would call that a steady performance.
