    @BigFlop

It wouldn’t hurt to apoligise to CrimTV and Bill for being rude.

I expected Revolution to drop about a 0.1 when the finals came out. I think H50 and Magnum PI should do an episode. I know I’ll watch. Partners is dragging down 2BG and I think I know why CBS doesn’t drop Partners

  • BigFlop

@THE END they are crying for what i said, REALLY oh no!! sorry ;)
so many people are rude here, because there are so many people who hate H50 and Caslte, and they show it attacking their fans all the time. so, who is the rude here?

  • MattFitz

@ bigflop apology accepted and although there is evidence that collectively there is alot of room for improvement in the education of our people,we still have the finest universities, reaserchers, and all around creative geniuses. If American TV is so offensive to you I suggest you dont watch.I think several shows on television have a great deal of depth and quality is still greatly appreciated over mindless fluff.I for one never understood how the CBS comedies were so popular.I then actually watched the hit ones in reruns and was exposed to comedies written at a very high level, and sophisticated writing that takes our intelligence for granted. In otherwords the writers trusted our intelligence and didnt go for the cheap pie in the face lowbrow slapstick that unfortunately frequents network teevision,so dont judge one show as a baramoter of our intelligence.

@ Partners is dragging down 2BG and I think I know why CBS doesn’t drop Partners

Partners is dragging all CBS Monday line up the same way Made in jersey dragging friday line up. Without Jersey all shows was ok last week.

Think tomorrow CBS will cancel Partners. In sweeps will be or Rules or 2BG/BBT repeats or friend me.

pardon my typos and lack of spell check

CBS needs to swap Partners and M&M for a week just to see if M&M could good 2BG’s numbers and if the 2BG audience may be willing to sample Partners.

“When you start using the poor performance of DWTS to justify the Castle ratings, you know you have a problem. Castle is a 5 year old show. It should have its loyal fanbase. The fact that it needs a strong DWTS to get solid ratings, says a lot.”

In reality, Castle is mostly an episodic show that doesn’t require anyone to watch every single episode. I consider myself relatively loyal to the show, but I don’t think I’ve ever watched a complete season of episodes. Unless its a season premiere or finale, most episodes aren’t really essential.

I know that may shock some of the hardcore, but a lot of people feel that way about episodic TV series. It’s that “I can watch in any order or miss an episode” aspect that makes episodic TV series more valuable in syndication, BTW.

Re: Local simulcasting of NFL cable games

ABC affiliates have first right of refusal on the MNF games. AFAICD, the Thursday NFLN games go to the highest bidder in the market.

@mattfitz thank for your polite response, better than mines ;) but i have been paying attention to your tv rating for so long and i really cant believe the great number of tv series with violence. it happens the same with movies, what happens with movies in hollywood?? the 90% are full of actions and noise, poor scripts. I am working on a theory about how media control our tastes. some people get big profit with violence. it has a lot to say aobut it but it is impossible to explain here. and impossible for me because i cant find the right words sometimes.

CBS needs to be rid of Partners now. They have really messed up with their Monday night line up. Moving Men when they faced two rounds of The Voice and putting a rookie comedy in there was always a crazy gamble. Who would have ever thought we’d see a ten pm NBC show beat the Monday night comedy block? CBS must be freaking out.

I really don’t like Revolution but you’ve got to hand it to NBC. They’ve finally got a hit. Other than reality dross I mean and a big one it seems. They need to move it to nine pm next year and let it anchor another night.

Glad to see HFO up slightly. I’m still absolutely utterly shocked at its fall from last season to this!

When people on this sight cheer for shows to get cancelled, do they ever think about the hundreds of jobs that are lost each time? I enjoy watching the ratings as well because it’s an interesting process, but some people on here are so harsh. Maybe it’s because I might be losing my job soon on one of these soon to be cancelled shows. I realize it’s the name of the game in the industry but it’s not easy.

I’m happy HF-0 went up. They had a really good episode last night, written by Stephanie Sengupta, who is one of the better procedural writers. Alex O’Loughlin was wonderful in this episode. You can tell he’s feeling so much better now, than last season. Go Alex !!!

CBS appears to be making a concerted effort to stick with Partners. Now that’s it’s risen to a (still awful) 2.1, I wonder how much longer they’ll stick with it? If I felt like the characters were really engaging, I would be all for it sticking with the show, but 2 out of the 4 leads have very little appeal and I just don’t see the writing or the acting improving enough to change that no matter how much time CBS gives it.

Also… I’m trying to stay with Revolution… but I roll my eyes almost any time the lead girl says anything, and she’s onscreen 90% of the time. I feel like it wants desperately to be LOST when LOST was good (ie – Season 1), but as long as it pulls those numbers for NBC, it doesn’t really matter what I think.

Guessing when a network will yank a failed series is tricky, but for Partners my guess is that CBS either:

    (a) pulls it after Oct 22 so that ROE can air from Oct 29 on, which keeps Partners out of November sweeps
    (b) lets it run the entire 13 episode order, which would have it end in early 2013, given some holiday repeat airings.

After the premiere, I’d have bet almost anything that it would have been gone before Oct 29, but now that we’re less than two weeks away, the my presumption has switched to option (b).

  • ezduzit

Hey all you Partners haters. Why in the world would a network cancel a show who’s ratings are on the rise and is the top rated new comedy in the desired 18-49 demo? It’s pulling in better numbers than New Normal, Mindy Project, Ben&Kate, Guys with Kids, Animal Practice, etc. It can not be held to the same standard as returning hits, HIMYM and 2BG, especially when it competes with kickoff of MNF. Positive word of mouth on the show has been blowing up social media as each episode gets funnier and funnier. Don’t believe me. Check twitter, #partners. Like I keep saying, the show is not getting canned and will be picked up for a full season.

Nice! 2 Broke Girls adjusts up to even w/ last week & H50 dumps Castle to basement.

    CBS 3.0 8-10, minus Partners, H50 back over 2.0 @ 10:00
