Tonight, the new dramedy Emily Owens M.D. premieres on the CW. Last week, the network's freshman series Arrow and Beauty And The Beast had strong debuts, but the supernatural/superhero CW shows have been doing far better this season than the network's girly shows. On the other hand, Emily Owens M.D. is counter-programming for the presidential debate on the big four networks, which has proven to be a competitive advantage for The CW. So how will it do? Make your predictions below.

Definitely .5,.6 or .7. Seems uninteresting but good match for hart of Dixie
I’m gonna go for a 0.8 but I won’t be surprised if it gets lower. I watched the pilot online and it was okay, nothing amazing but the show definitely has potential.
Important to note that the pilot has been online for almost 3 weeks now.
0.7.
0.8
With Hart of Dixie as a lead-in I’ll say 0.5.
0.9 with 1.8 million viewers.
Positive side:
Counter programming against the debate.
Descent dramedy.
Justin Hartley to attract CW fangirls.
Negative side:
Soft-lead in support.
Tuesday 9pm death slot.
I’m thinking 0.7, it’s the only scripted drama at 9pm tonight going up against the 2nd Presidential Debate. After that it’ll likely drop to 0.4-0.5
0.9
You’re very pessimistic about your poll options, were the same with Arrow. I’d say this will do at least 1.0 and 2million. Should do at least decently enough considering lack of competition.
Arrow had a lot of hype. This show has none.
1.0, i hope it can do well
It won’t premiere well. It looks like another GA knock off. Plus The CW is not the right audience for it.
I’m thinking a 0.6, maybe a 0.7. It’s not a fantasy/action show, and those are pretty much the only things keeping CW alive right now.
I’d say >1.0 if it wasn’t for the fact that the pilot’s been on YouTube for 2 or 3 weeks now. Nevertheless, it’s up against the debate, it’s a pretty strong pilot and is very female-skewing, so it can still pull 0.8 or 0.9 with close to 2 million viewers.
Most probably 0.5
I would assume, Mamie Gummer having a legendary mother (Meryl Streep) she would be on a more functioning network. Good luck to her!
Unless Mammie has a huge following that I’m clearly not aware of I don’t see this series debuting anywhere near Arrow or B&TB. Needless to say counter programming seems to have worked in the CWs favor this fall.
0.6 and 1.5 million viewers
i really enjoyed this pilot. i hope the show does well but i doubt it. its the cw after all
