   Can you believe it is very possible the race to be the highest rated show will be a competition between football and a cable show? Its crazy

   AMC will NEVER give The Walking Dead 22 episodes. Cable series never get that many episodes, and it works for them.

   Homeland seems to be the new Mad Men–adored by critics and awards shows, ignored by nearly everyone else.

   I would probably watch it if it were on a basic cable station. Which is more than I can say for anything else on Showtime. But subscribe for just one series? It isn’t that good. I’m happy Claire Danes got back into the spotlight–though technically, HBO got her there, with the Temple Grandin movie, in which she gave a far better performance. Then Showtime moved in for the sloppy seconds, like they always do.

   It just goes to show you make a well produced show like The Walking Dead with interesting characters and stories ratings will come.

   The Walking Dead numbers just blow me away. I enjoy watching the show, but, I don’t consider it as good as it’s Sunday competition.

   Homeland is the best show on TV. I cannot praise this show enough and Claire Danes should be given the Emmy for next year right now. But, Showtime has only two great shows, Dexter and Homeland. I only order Showtime to watch these programs.I can understand the low numbers as people don’t want to order Showtime for just two shows.

   Wow Yankees/Tigers only a 1.4! Jesus! Baseball is dying. This series is like having a Lakers/OKC Conf finals. That series would Avg 5.0 demo. Or Heat/Bulls same thing. To only get a 1.4 with just 5 million viewers is embarrassing.

    5.8 takes 9:00 & almost all Net offerings for week

    no i cant. i was just talking to a friend about this same idea last night. a few years ago i would have never believed a cable show could come anywhere close to #1. and if you told me it would have been an amc show, i just would refuse. the fact that a cable show WILL be the highest rated scripted show, (and also higher than american idol, the voice) and could in theory beat football, is unbelievable, i never thought it would happen

    it is INDEED beyond beast status. this is higher than two huge shows (big bang and modern family) so legendary cant even describe it. it is a word that will need to be invented just fo rhtis situation!

    5.8 for WD is redunkulous! Anything over 4.0 is amazing for cable but 5.8 is simply incredible.

    How did Sandwich King fared this past Sunday considering that between 9 AM-12PM all of FOOD’s lineup was originals/premieres?

    Also, please post the numbers of $24 in 24 (Sun 6:30 PM,FOOD) and from last night’s 10:30 PM tomorrow when you receive the #s.
