The Walking Dead dominated tv all sunday. I bet AMC is laughing at Dish for not picking them back up
LOL at people who thought Walking Dead would premier lower than last year
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNWMe7bIT94
@Bluetahoe–you can’t blame low subscriber #’s for Homeland doing so much worse than Dexter, it’s lead-in.
I don’t honestly believe Homeland would be a major hit anywhere. It’s one of those shows that appeals mightily to a few, and not at all to most. I watch some of those shows (like Treme, which I think is far superior to what I’ve seen of Homeland), so not meant as a criticism.
TV has gotten so ‘niche’–there’s a show out there that is just about exactly what you or I want to watch–but the more you like it, the less I may like it. And vice versa. Homeland’s niche includes a lot of critics and Emmy voters. But there’s something missing–some broader appeal.
Best show on TV, btw–Game of Thrones. Nothing else comes close.
Hi guys, what about Treme’s numbers? I never find them here. Thank you.
@ richard
Not being smart here, but I honestly cannot believe you guys didn’t see this coming! This is your generation pal! There’s even more to come. STAY TOONED…
Shawn, thanks for reminding me about Treme!
The Beast is Back!
Dont forget ben 10 and star wars ratings/viewings for the saturday that just past Nick! PLease and thank you
Massively impressed that Wallking Dead was the top three shows on cable Sunday. The overrall strength of the marathon is quite astounding. I am amused that there are people who think you cant be a fan of Walking Dead as well as Homeland, Mad Men or Breaking Bad. A good show is a good show and I trust most discerning viewers are able to understand that.
john, it’s entirely possible to be a fan of all those shows you mention, but you only have to look at the ratings to know it isn’t the NORM.
I don’t like to believe that ‘quality’ is entirely subjective, but when it comes to television, you can’t really know how good a show is until long after it’s over. Many shows that were acclaimed as masterpieces in the past are largely forgotten now. Precious little in this medium endures.
Ratings don’t prove how good a show is, but they sure as hell do prove how many people like watching it.
I don’t think Nick posts Saturday Cable ratings anymore. He hasn’t in the last two weeks.
Great,action-packed episode of Boardwalk Empire sunday.Though instead of with the shooting of random zombies,it had cleverly written wackings.Full frontals(both male and female) too. What else does it need to go above the 2 million viewers i wonder.
@Chris. The difference between Homeland & Mad Man. Is Mad Man is on a channel that is FREE. Over 50+ mill get A&E. Think it’s different story for ShowTime. Also there prob millions(like me) who watch Homeland online, since I don’t want to pay for ShowTime.
@Nick or anyone else,
If you can post the following:
Tuff Puppy
Robot and Monster
TMNT
iCarly
Victorious
BTR
See Dad Run
The iCarly and Victorious numbers would be glady appreciated. Thanks in advance!
All aired on Nickelodeon. From I believe 11 AM – 9 PM?? On Saturday.
