@psychic, in what world are you living in? The Good Wife did NOT beat Revenge!

  • greysfan

Stop the Revenge hate already. The show is way up on the first season and is performing very well all things considered. It has huge shoes to fill and right now its doing very well. ABC have a great 2 hour drama block on Sunday and only need to fix 10pm. Once is dropping and its scaring me but its still one of the best performing dramas on the tv at the moment. 666 is in trouble though.

  • Matt

It is only the 18-49 rating that matters, not the total viewers. So, technically, Revenge did beat TGW.

  • Kelly

On the west coast, the walking dead is on at 6 pm for me which means it shows equivalent to Eastern time. Does not interfere at all with my Sunday primetime lineup at all.

In restrospect, it would indeed have been smarter to air TGW Fridays at 8 or 9 and try a new series between TAR and TM on Sundays. Right now, TGW is performing awfully bad and potentially killing TM. CBS sacrificed CSI: Miami last year and might do the same with TM only to hopefully receive a syndication offer for TGW. That’ll be an expensive gamble if the syndication deal never comes.

That said, a 2.1 is pretty much as good as it gets for CBS on a Sunday at 10. TM is doing what CBS hoped it would do–improve numbers in a very challenging environment.

I think TGW will get a full season on friday next year. Thats why they dont move it. I think the critics love really makes them stick by it. Season 5 will be the last though wont be announced straight away but still will be.

  • HB

Revenge had a HUGE competition and it sill got same ratings as last week so thats pretty great!

    @ John A

I’ve been against switching TGW & TM until now. When you look at the whole picture, TM is far more compatible w/ TAR than TGW & TGW should be able to hold that 1.7 @ 10:00.

CBS should make the move, as at this point they really can’t afford to have one show drag down their ratings as much as TGW does currently (this coming from the #1 TGW fan).

Glad to see the Mentalist(hopefully) solidifying in its new timeslot…would be a real shame to see it die there.

OUAT is just chugging along pulling in 3.0s like its nothing!

Baseball did well, but NFL rules Sun night.

The Good Wife is terrible. You can move it to another night and it will still do bad. Its time to say CANCELED.

  • Bob

I watched The Good Wife on demand last night and what a great show and episode. It was a pretty exciting one. I will NEVER watch The Good Wife live with Revenge on. Revenge watch live – the Good Wife On Demand.

I always watch TGW On Demand, it’s practically commercial free

  • Phil

Oh no! 60 Minutes lost 33% from last week! It’s gonna be cancelled!

  • Phil

What can they replace 666 with in sweeps?

American Music Awards in on one week (11/18). The following holiday weekend can often be tough so you can always run a holiday movie (Santa Clause) 9-11. Even an hour of Modern Family repeats would do better.

There are plenty of options for November: specials, newsmags, try out Castle and pre-empt it on Monday for the aforementioned or Dancing special… Shark Tank…

  • OERM

ABC should move Private Practice or Last Resort to Sundays 10 pm, I think but shows would do better than in their awful timeslots.

    The Good Wife is terrible.

No its not . The ratings are but the show is great

  • Justin121

The Good Wife is the best show on television.

    So is Revenge.

It’s a shame they have to go against a show that pulls 6.0 rating that doesn’t show on the chart.

  • Networkman

I do feel Scandal may do decently behind Revenge. Most likely it will improve the numbers for the 10pm hour. Behind Revenge, Scandal should be able to obtain 2.0-2.2 demo consistenly. And garner over 6 million viewers regularly. ABC really needs to try another new program after Grey’s Anatomy. The two dramas on the bench are Red Widow and Zero Hour. Body of Proof will mostly likely take over for Private Practice once that show finish its run.

This whole Good Wife/Mentalist switching thing, is it all speculation or has there been anything official to support it? Would be great, in my opinion.
