FAMILY GUY has made a talking baby famous, resurrected the song “It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time,” glorified chicken fights and turned “Death” into a loveable character. So it’s only fitting that this hugely popular animated series will celebrate its 200th episode with a spectacular one-hour event, including the milestone episode and a tribute to the Emmy Award-winning series, airing Sunday, Nov. 11 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

“Watch your back, Simpsons, we’re less than halfway there,” quipped Stewie Griffin.

The one-hour momentous event kicks off with the 200th episode, “Yug Ylimaf,” in which BRIAN (Seth MacFarlane) abuses STEWIE’s (MacFarlane) time machine and causes reality to run in reverse. So the two must work together to set things right before Stewie is “unborn.” Then, in the FAMILY GUY 200th retrospective, “The End Of The World As We Know It,” fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at this irreverent comedy’s most outrageous moments, through fascinating interviews with creator Seth MacFarlane and voice actors Mila Kunis, Alex Borstein and Seth Green. Additionally, the special will give fans an exclusive glimpse into the cast and crew’s 200th episode party in Los Angeles.

For 200 episodes, FAMILY GUY has followed the adventures of an endearingly ignorant dad, PETER GRIFFIN (MacFarlane), and his hilariously odd family of middle-class New Englanders in Quahog, RI. LOIS (Alex Borstein) is Peter’s wife, a stay-at-home mom with no patience for her family’s antics. Then there are their kids: 17-year-old MEG (Mila Kunis) is an outcast at school and the Griffin family punching bag; 13-year-old CHRIS (Seth Green) is a socially awkward teen who doesn’t have a clue about the opposite sex; and one-year-old Stewie is a diabolically clever baby whose burgeoning sexuality is very much a work in progress. Rounding out the Griffin household is Brian (MacFarlane), the family dog and a novelist who is one step away from AA.

FAMILY GUY is a 20th Century Fox Television production. Seth MacFarlane is creator/executive producer. Rich Appel serves as executive producer/showrunner, while Mark Hentemann, Steve Callaghan, Danny Smith, Alec Sulkin, Wellesley Wild and Kara Vallow are executive producers. The 200th episode special is produced by Brad Lachman Productions. “Like” FAMILY GUY on Facebook at www.facebook.com/FamilyGuy. “Turned “Death” into a loveable character”

Terry Pratchett did that first with Discworld.

I love Family Guy. It is one of my favorite series, and the best animated show ever to be seen on TV. I will definitely be tuning in for this event.

  • Riff Rafferty

Congrats, “Family Guy”, on your 197th episode that FOX is, par for their course, calling the 200th! And that includes the coat hanger one that — for some inexplicable reason one would never, ever expect from the network that brings you such high-quality Republican-approved entertainment as “Glee” and “The Simpsons” — they didn’t even want to air! Go figure?!

  • Jon23812

This would be their 192nd episode, not their 200th episode.

  • bluelp85

Yup I have it as 197th as well. Having to count 5 hour long specials as 10 half hours episodes. Already included the movie.

  • Leondre

Why didn’t they do this for the 500th episode of The Simpsons

  • Jon23812

By November 11th, it will be 192 episodes, not 197 or 200.

  • Jon23812

Also if you count the hour long episodes as 2 half hour episodes, which it wrong anyway, it would be 202 episodes, not 197.

  • I like this show

@Riff Yea…shows get yanked off air the time due to their content not the actual ratings of the show LOL. Keep drinking the Kool aid.

Anyway FG quit being funny 5..6 years ago McFarlane is a hack.

Just watched it it was awsome!!!!!!!!!!!
