   Some favorable reviews does not equal excellent reviews. As far as ratings Pants consistently lost a large amount of audience through out it’s run.Well beneath one million viewers by the finale.

   Wow @ Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition! It’s lower than “Dance Moms Miami” went and it’s only the 2nd episode.

   She must have thought that anything with her name attached would be ratings gold.

   Hmm. Not sure of your point. Not trying to revive Pants here (I don’t care either way) but my point — by my guesstimate it was the 3rd highest rated scripted show they’ve had — Awkward, TW, then Pants (then Skins or RJ maybe, not sure) and these days, instead of build, like cable used to while broadcast was ruthless, they cut. My opinion is building is a better bang for buck. But maybe I am old school. In this case, I think they’d be thrilled to have, as you say a million watch.

   Lots of questions about Underemployed, it got a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating and 654,000 viewers at 10pm.

   Abby Lee’s Ultimate Dance Comp was much better last nignt than the premiere… A lot of drama, crying, fighting, and outstanding dancing by young kids. I hope it picks up.

   It is worth remembering that when Dance Moms first aired season 1 it had very low ratings the first few weeks. It didn’t pick up really until at least half way through the season. Abby’s Ultimate Competition could still pick up. It was competing against the presidential debate too.

    Underemployed launched d.o.a. I still don’t understand why MTV gave this show no lead-in. Jersey Shore could have at least brought a larger sampling. Shame because the pilot was actually really good.

    Such a shame Underemployed, Inbetweeners and Pants all will only get one season. Really good shows, but MTV’s audience is mostly teen girls who won’t watch this stuff. They only like Teen Wolf and Awkward for hot guys, relateable girls and relationship drama, which IMO are both really overrated shows. Viacom needs a channel for young men and women.

    The presidential debate was on…most ppl watched that…I predict that mtv underemployed will have much better ratings next week…it’s awesome and many ppl can relate to it…

    Please don’t misunderstand me, I thought that last night’s episode was excellent.

    I’m very surprised by the rating and I agree, I hope it will gather more viewers as it progresses through the final 10 dancers.

    However, I stand by my comment that it’s time Abby realized that the success of “Dance Moms” isn’t based entirely on her character.

    The first half hour of Underemployed was horrible but the ending was pretty good. Debuting a show that’s supposed to try to connect with a slightly more intelligent audience than typical MTV on the same night as the Presidential debate was an idiotic decision. If it gets cancelled I hope Sarah Habel and Inbar Lavi get new shows soon (preferably on HBO or Showtime), they’re smoking hot and talented.

    Covert Affair got the same result it got in the summer, when it even got a series low at 0.7.
