Well happy and impressed with B&B and Y&R too!
With Stephanie’s farewell and Katie’s depression on B&B and JG’s head writing debut on Y&R…………..Y&R and B&B will continue to increase!

Enjoying both of these shows right now!

  • Rich

GH down from last week but up big from last year and that is what is more important!!!!!!

  • James

    Still good for GH…

  • Joie

What’s going on with Days?! At this rate the show won’t make it past next September!

  • Bo

Wow. Good for B&B–wish I could see what all the hype’s about but there’s no CBS in London.

General Hospital has been amazing. I have honestly waited for every episode since Cartini took over. Kudos to them for breathing new life into a show that (in my opinion) became a broken record for the 1-2 years before they took over. I really do hope that the ratings continue to rise.

As for Days, I’m just so disappointed. I wasn’t a huge fan of the previous writers, but at least I could watch the show in full 1-2 days per week. Now, with the reinstatement of the guys before the last writing team, I can’t even watch a whole episode. This was and always has been my favorite television show, but between Nicole using another dead baby to cause trouble AND on Jennifer of all people, and Sami+Rafe part two, there just isn’t much to watch for.

I’m watching through Kristen Blake’s return, Bo’s departure, and Caroline’s Alzheimers, but if it doesn’t pick up by then (namely, if they don’t DUMP Sami+Rafe and replace that moron with either EJ or Lucas), I think I may actually be done for good.

  • James C.

Yeah, even with this modest tick up for Days it’s looking like 2013 could be the year NBC loses its last soap.

  • James C.

I wish we could get full daytime network ratings, with View, Chew, Talk, Price, LMAD, etc. That way we could see what the soaps are up against.

  • shelly

Very sad for Days. I think it’s much better than ratings indicate. But very happy for GH!!! Awesome show! I tried watching Y & R today and I was completely lost (except is was nice to see ghost John). With Stephanie’s impending death on BB, I expect ratings to go through the roof. Best wishes for our remaining soaps…

  • Brad

The most impressive thing is that three of the four soaps are hope about half a million viewers from last year (400-536 thousand). That is great news!! So tired of see minus 4-500,000. LOL! I hope the trend continues.

  • LynTX

Great week for the CBS soaps. Both should go into Nov. sweeps in pretty good shape. New regime at Y&R cleaning up MAB’s s/ls pretty quickly; anxious to see JG’s work onscreen.

Don’t watch GH and stopped watching DOOL (just can’t get into the s/ls; no complexity). But do wish both soaps well.

  • paul

Sure will miss the original cast on bold for sure. But show must go on

  • Jeff

So glad 3 of the 4 soaps left are doing so well! GH is #1 in 18-49 for ABC daytime, beating the View

  • Justin121

    Go Bold & BeautifuL!

  • CeeKay

With Stephanie’s farewell and Katie’s depression on B&B and JG’s head writing debut on Y&R…………..Y&R and B&B will continue to increase!

You really think Josh Griffith can write good soap? We will have to agree to disagree. No, between him and JFP at the helm Y&R is pretty much doomed now…

  • Sean

@Jeff I wish ALL Soap fans were like you…..GO GH!!!!!!!!!!

  • Clarke

Does anyone else find it a bit odd that Y&R went up THAT much in Total Viewers but still lost W19-49 viewers? Is that a typo? Still good for Y&R though. Hopefully JG & JFP will be able to re-build the show.

  • Derrick

I have faith in JG’s writing! You are entitled to your opinion so let’s agree to disagree!

  • Marissa

General Hospital has been SO GOOD! I haven’t looked forward to every daily episode like I do now in a long, long time.

  • Jill

We won’t know how DAYS is really doing until sometime next week when we see the rating for the week of October 15-21 which should reflect fully Eileen Davidson’s return to Salem where she plays Kristen/Susan etc… DAYS has been pulling in on avg. about a 1.9 the last 4 weeks. I will make a bet that DAYS will see its number inch up to around a 2.1 and when these storylines start climaxing then it is possible we could even seee DAYS go higher!! No worries at all about DAYS!!

  • cc

GH holding steady. And at 2s. Now to inch up more.

Days is just a mess. There is barely any resemblance to the Salem viewers grew to love.
