The season premiere of American Horror Story: Asylum won the night with a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating, up from a 1.7 for the season 1 AHS finale. Duck Dynasty came in second with a 1.8 adults 18-49 ratin down from last week's 1.9.
We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source, if you don't see your show it was not in that top 100 list.

As I expected, AHS: Asylum underperformed. This show is to FX exactly what REVENGE is to ABC. You have two shows that the network wants to spend so much money on trying to label them hits and yet they fail to meet expectations each and every time.
I look forward to seeing this show hit the 1′s as of next week. Oh and unlike REVENGE, I actually sat through the entire hour and couldn’t believe the editing mess, garbage writing, and awful direction. Even calling it “horror” is a joke. This isn’t horror. The horror is that a network that has such good history with dramas allowed this show to run for not one but two television seasons. Let’s hope a 3rd isn’t even in their thought process.
SOA still reigns supreme on FX.

Well, they are renewed through a 20th season, so I guess in a couple of years they can start thinking about whether or not they renew them for a 21st season. Currently finishing 16th season.

Viewership is irrelevant, but I honestly thought AHS was going to have a little over 5 million viewers.
Another FX Drama Sons of Anarchy..which has been praised almost weekly for beating out network series received a 2.2 demo on Tuesday night. AHS received the exact same demo. I’m not sure how/why people think that’s considered a flop especially since its up in total viewers and demo compared to the pilot and finale last season. If people don’t like the show..that’s fine..there’s plenty of series that are popular that I don’t like..but to downplay the success regardless if you like it or not is just asinine.

If you add the encore showing of AHS at 11pm it did get a little over 5 million viewers.
Shame not a great deal of Nielsen viewers are watching Paranormal Witness. It’s a good show that recreates some creepy stories. You can watch it from any point as it has no structure to it, these are just random stories every week and no more.
If you have nothing to watch at 10pm, look up Paranormal Witness on Wednesdays.

I’m glad I was expecting 3.5 million and a 2 but the 2.2 is a nice surprise…I wouldnt be surprised if it hit 3.0 before the season is over.
