Which New Broadcast TV Show Will Be Canceled Fourth? (Poll)

10/19 Update: While Private Practice has now been canceled, it wasn't in the poll because it wasn't a rookie show. Proceed as usual!

While it was a distant second in our latest "Who'll be canceled next?" poll, Animal Practice was caught by the Cancellation Bear today and was the third show of the broadcast season to be canceled.

Which show will be next on the menu of the Cancellation Bear?

Better to Follow The Bear, Than Be Chased By Him. This season you can follow the Cancellation Bear on Twitter via @TheCancelBear. The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

Because comment thread lawyers are everywhere, let's be clear that for the purposes of this poll "canceled" means removed from its initially scheduled timeslot, either off the air entirely or rescheduled to a burn off timeslot, even if the network *claims* the show will return later (two seasons ago those who answered The Whole Truth in the "next to be canceled" poll ended up being correct, it was removed first among the shows noted and never returned, despite initial ABC claims to the contrary).

What's your guess?

While this poll allows just one answer per person, feel free to expand your choices in the comments.

    Could tvbythenumbers.com please have a poll for next Tuesday’s X Factor on Fox vs. an all-new The Voice on NBC at the same time.

    I would like to see what people think about this, and also read their comments.

    The results of this standoff will help settle the debate on which show is better X Factor on Fox or The Voice on NBC.

    This helps make tvbythenumbers.com the fun fun site it is

    Keep going with The Mob Doctor. It’ll be correct one of these times!

  • Walker

    I’ll go with The Neighbors again, just because I want that show gone.

    Me too!

  • Miranda Rex

    Don’t you mean “Animal Practice” was third to be cancelled??

  • Toni

    I know I’m a ratings illiterate, but why is the Revolution still added in the poll? Hasn’t it already been given a full season?

  • Jeff (Canada)

    @Toni

    “Cancelled” means it won’t get a season 2. The Event got a full season order and it was still cancelled at the end of the season.

  • Max Vrany

    @Toni, The Cancellation Bear has done stranger things than eat a show with a full season order early. That said, Revolution is in NO danger until at least the spring, if at all.

  • Toni

    @Jeff, thank you. So simple even an illiterate should have figured it out. :)

  • Max Vrany

    @Jeff, note the poll is for which show will be cancelled next. Revolution won’t be next.

  • Jeff (Canada)

    @Max

    I know, I was just pointing out what “cancelled” on this site means, in a general term.

  • Honey Badger

    So many good choices, and I predict now that cancellation season has started, and with November sweeps coming up, half the shows on this list may be cancelled in the next few weeks. Time for the Cancellation Bear to run wild!
    Although The Mob Doctor (Fox) should have been canceled already (and I don’t understand why it hasn’t been canceled, I am predicting Partners (CBS) to be the next one canceled. I think CBS cannot afford to let Partners keep hurting their other shows.

    BTW, I am most happy Animal Practice on NBC with that annoying monkey was cancelled. How did that show even get on the air? And why did NBC spend so much advertising and promotion on it, even going as far as interrupting the final ceremonies of the Olympics to air its premier? What were they thinking?

  • MattM

    Went with 666, Mod Doctor might stick until January, it shouldn’t but it might if they don’t want to just throw in reruns or or a new show. Although, I think if they started promoting The Following now, they can get enough buzz for it to premier in November after baseball is done.

  • Jeff R.

    If Mob Doctor was going to be pulled without airing any more episodes, it would have been pulled by now. Therefore it’s inevitable cancellation won’t actually happen for almost a month. Voting for it at this point means voting that nothing else will be cancelled in that amount of time, which is a lot less likely than the nearly even-odds that this poll keeps giving.

  • Tom

    Still weeks before MD airs again, but CBS may not give RoE any promotional time before they kill Partners, meaning this could go down to the wire!

    Voting for Partners, as MD also sounds further along in production.

  • Joseph

    Why has “Mob Doctor” managed to avoid getting caught by the Cancellation Bear?

    Is he afraid of getting whacked or something?

    They should be afraid of him :)

  • Dan S

    The next new show is a little tricky but I don’t think Mob Dr will get pulled until next month. I’m thinking Partners since ROE should be ready to go in time for Nov sweeps.

  • Honey Badger

    @ Joseph great comment

    @Jeff (Canada)
    if revolution does get cancelled, it likely won’t be til may, there is no chance it is cancelled next.

  • Jeff (Canada)

    @alexjones

    I know, that’s why I voted for Mob Doctor. I never said Revolution would be cancelled next, I was just saying it’s still a technical possibility, since a full season order does not guarantee an automatic season 2 renewal. And Bill wanted to make sure every single possibility is listed, to be fair to every show.
