On Tuesday, Oct. 23, the New FOX Tuesday comedies keep the laughs coming with all-new episodes of RAISING HOPE (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), BEN AND KATE (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) and NEW GIRL (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT). An all-new special one-hour episode of THE X FACTOR featuring the conclusion of the “Judges’ Homes” round airs during a special, extended prime from 9:30-10:30 PM ET/PT.

The Chances go on a couples retreat and Melanie Griffith, Wilmer Valderrama and Leslie Jordan guest-star on an all-new RAISING HOPE (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT). In the episode, “If A Ham Falls in the Woods,” Jimmy (Lucas Neff) and Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) attend a marriage retreat led by a priest (Jordan) before they get married. Not wanting to miss out on a free vacation, Virginia (Martha Plimpton) and Burt (Garret Dillahunt) pose as a newly engaged couple so they can also attend. It becomes a true family affair when Sabrina’s mom, Tamara (Griffith), and her young lover, Ricardo (Valderrama), tag along.

In the all-new installment of BEN AND KATE (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), “Emergency Kit,” Kate (Dakota Johnson) challenges Ben (Nat Faxon) to be more prepared to take care of Maddie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones), and they all end up getting tested. Meanwhile, Ben’s crazy ex-girlfriend, Louise (guest star Lindsay Sloane), makes a surprise visit back into his life and BJ (Lucy Punch) might be developing real feelings for her boss, bar owner Buddy (guest star Rob Corddry).

In the all-new “Models” episode of NEW GIRL (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT), Jess (Zooey Deschanel) spends a wild night out with Cece (Hannah Simone) and her model friends, then jumps in the driver’s seat when she must fill in for Cece at a car show. Meanwhile, the guys question what defines male friendship after Schmidt (Max Greenfield) buys Nick (Jake Johnson) a sweet gift.

The competition on THE X FACTOR (9:30-10:30 PM ET/PT) kicks into high gear on a special all-new episode when the judges reveal which four acts in each of the four categories – Teens, Young Adults, Groups and Over 25s – continue on to the live shows.

One hour is better IMO. I watched most of the 2 hour episode online and it was just so dragged out. They re-capped every single person by showing a clip of their first audition and a clip of what they did at Judges Houses, there’s no need for that.

It’s better to have it in one hour and just simply tell the contestants if they’re through or not.

@Ultima, but I believe FOX is contracted to keep showing the X-Factor until the finals. If they just cancel it right now, all those 12 finalist would have gone through all that for nothing.

I can’t express how ecstatic I am that FOX just can’t get its game plan on track (baseball aside, of course). At least they’re leaving MD on thru all of Nov, no that’s really not a good ratings ploy, well, I think you get my drift.

Hey, FOX, just keep doing what you’re doing–there’s always next year!

FOX is killing X-Factor and thats crazy because is one of the highs show’s of the network maybe the show don’t have the ratings of the voice but is very consisting on his rating BT 3.1 and 3.5! I hope the show up

Jon, Ultima is saying no network wants to damage any of its shows. If Fox wants to cancel X Factor, it’ll do so. Until that day, Fox will do what it can to help X Factor. The same is true of every other show on its lineup and also true of every network.

yes!!!!!! x factor will bring some ratings to new girl.

New Girl will air BEFORE x factor

Obviously, I meant cancel it for next season.

They won’t, by the way, because that would be ridiculous.

It’s amazing what baseball can do to screw up your schedule.

The X Factor is a cheap filler that pulls ok-ish ratings. Who will cancel that? But what Fox need now are hit dramas and sitcoms. They just can’t depend on reality shows.

I Think Simon Cowell does not care about the ratings anymore. They cant beat the Voice.

he is now much more interested in finding a successful artist just like 1D on the UK Version. That will make him millions of dollars and allow him to hire another superstar , maybe Madonna or Eminem or Carrie Underwood for S3. And Brit will take a pay cut and stay, a new star would cost more.

If XF pulls 3.0 + for rest of season, he will be OK with it.
