Nikita, one of the favorite shows of  many TVBTN readers, finally premieres tonight. Last season, the show premiered to a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating on September 23, 2011. Its finale garnered a 0.4 on May 18, 2012. This year the show moves to 9PM and faces tough new competition from Grimm, CSI:NY, and  Primetime; What Would You Do? The other genre show in the time period, Fringe is pre-empted tonight for baseball.  So how will Nikita do? Make your predictions.

another thing for nikita fans to remember whether or not nikita is renewed they still have 22 more episodes to enjoy, which is way more than they were likely expecting last year, so they have that to be thankful for.

It is weird because the premieres of beauty and the beast and arrow did really good for cw and I just have a gut feeling it will get 0.7, i don’t know why but I just have a gut feeling and Im certain it will get a fourth (possibly final season). CW doesn’t like to just abruptly cancel their shows with a cliffhanger, they do the shows justice and allow them to have short and final seasons (onetree and gossip) So I have no doubt it will get a fourth final season at the least oh and btw watch MOCKINGBIRD LANE everyone!

We also must remember that under the Netflix deal, the longer the CW keeps a show on air, the more money Netflix will pay per episode, because they want long running series, so while that isn’t a *huge* factor, it is *a* factor.

I hope it does well, it really is the best show on the cw however it requires some concentration which most people who watch the cw are incapable of so i predict a 0.4.

  • Dillan

I’m still shocked this got renewed tbh..

Anyways, it will get either a 0.4/0.5.

    @alexjones

God knows that’s true. I was hugging the corner hoping there was a miracle of Nikita and Fringe being renewed….so I thank god, even if it is the final season.

  • johncarter

should be steady with last year, it probably picked up a few fans for being on netflix

  • Mark

    America’s Next Top Model – .6
    Nikita – .6

I watched all of Nikita in a marathon a few weeks ago and I really liked it. Aside from some superficial complaints, I have none. It’s well written, well acted and shot beautifully. I wish it were in a better position. It’s on my DVR this season.

  • Pepper

I’ll be generous and go with a 0.5

  • Starship

I expect a 0.5, won’t be shocked if it’s 0.4 though. Anything below that will be bad.

  • Brandy

I’ll say 0.3-.05.It may return lower as it did last season and seems most shows returned or premired low this season. It may get 0.5 though due to curiosity about how it’s going to be with Nikita and Ryan running Divison and SpN,Hart of Dixie premiered up.But GG,90210 returned right where they left off ratings wise so Nikita could do that too at 0.4.There were a lot of fan complaints about the writing/quality, too much romance, the Cassandra /Max sl last season soo maybe 0.3-0.4.It might be helped that Community & Whitney aren’t back yet.

  • Jared

Top Model viewers and Nikita viewers are so different that I can’t see Top Model being any sort of useful lead in. With that said I wouldn’t be surprised if it premieres with a 0.4 demo..the same as last seasons finale considering the competition at 9pm. But the very best it could possibly do is a 0.6 demo but I dont find that likely.

  • Dean-W

0.5 but don’t worry it will get a fourth season for syndication !

  • Jason50

I see the same ratings as last year 0.4-0.5. As much as I like this show I don’t think any new viewers are going to jump aboard.

  • JJA

    I think a .5

Also, has anyone seen any Nikita commercials? Are they promoting this show?

  • PV

If it premieres with a .5, the fans can go to church and thank god. I predict a .4 at best, and fall to .3 in the following week.

  • Ike

Nikita is a surprisingly thoughtful and well-made action show.

But I’ve seen barely any promotion for it, and going against Grimm will be tough. So I predict 0.5.

Anyway, I’m glad we are getting at least 22 more episodes. I was really pleasantly startled when this was renewed for a third season. I’ll take what I can get.

  • Dan S

I’m guessing 0.5 but can always hope it goes higher. No great expectations for Nikita on a Fri being on the CW

  • Dean-W

The CW should air repeats on Friday but no originals.
