    Next year I see two options for The CW.

    Either they make a spin-off of the originals and put it after VD or Supernatural goes there again and the new Wonder Woman show goes after Arrow.

    Beauty & the Beast :( , it’s an amazing show…….

    @Petar Ivanov

    POI does not need a young star.

    And if POI ever does beat Grey’s, I don’t think ABC will be that worried. Both shows attract different audiences. Grey’s wins in the female 18-34 demo, and POI wins in the male demo.

    Grey’s is very expensive to make now. It was reported that 5 of the main actors make $350k an episode. Once Grey’s falls to mid to high 2’s, ABC will probably announce a final season just like they did for Housewives which was also very expensive to produce.

    ABC has ordered additional scripts of Last Resort, so they’re clearly at least thinking about a back 9.

    Then again, Pan Am had an additional script order last season.

    Oh, wait, there’s a separate article already, apologies. I always have problems with caching on this site

    Phew. Glad Last Resort wasnt adjusted down, if it makes a difference at this point.

    Given it’s quality I think it should rate better. Usually I hate all military involved shows but this time I’m intrigued and want to see where they are going with the show.

    As much as I like Scandal it does seem more like a cable show. The style, the cast and it seems more suited for 13 episodes. If it played for 22+ it would seem like a long soapy “24”. They where right to limit it at 13 episodes, however, it all seems better for a network like FX.

    Elementry-Johnny Lee kills another show again. Lui should do fine finding new work. How many shows is that for Johnny Lee in the past few years? Smith, Eli Stone now Elmentry. He can’t headline a movie OR A TV SHOW.

    POI is steady. I dont watch it but you know CBS loves it, however given the wider spectrum of audience and a sure hit in the 18-49 demo I think the post bowl slot will go to 2 BROKE GIRLS for sure. POI doesnt have that kind of breakout potential as 2 BROKE GIRLS. Plus CBS is doing just fine Thursday with the exception of ELEMENTRY whitch they can easily cancel and slot in some of those Unforgettable episodes or another midseason drama. They need to make 2 BROKE GIRLS as strong as they can as it’s their monday night show as was 2 and a half men.

    Those are sad numbers for 30 ROCK. I don’t know how NBC manages to pay for these comedies to stay on the air? I mean, 30 ROCK must be pricey given the people in it. YES, I know it’s ending this season but the ratings have always been low.

    I watched the first 2 episodes of THE LAST RESORT and have 2 more on my PVR. I dunno..I am watching alot of stuff before it. It kind of lives up to it name on my PVR. It’s a good show. It just requires ones full attention. I also do not believe Scott Speedman is very good-The rest of the cast is VERY GOOD, however. Autumn Reeser is great so far and Andre Braugh (sp?) is fantastic! The show cannot work without Speedmen I just wish the cast someone better. Oh, well.

    @Andrew
    Baseball playoff ratings are low. Maybe next year Fox should give up the postseason contract and CW should pick it up.

    FOX has renewed their contract with MLB through 2022.

    However, the A/NLCS games are moving to one of their cable networks next season. Only the World Series, All-Star Game and Saturday games will remain on FOX.

    I actually agree that a vampire diaries spin-off would be a good idea for the Thursday 9pm slot. I would watch it. But I would rather have Kevin Williamson than Julie Plec involved. Strange that no talk has been heard on this regards, seems such an obvious thing, especially considering the potential of vampire diaries for crossovers, their universe is like, huge. It could be about werewolves, the originals, whatever (i would even say katherine, but poor nina dobrev would die from exaustion)

  • Alex

    Fix the spelling error in the article title. “Ofifice”

  • PV

    C’mon, Scandal can’t get a 2.0 out of a 3.3 or even a 4.0 lead in from Greys. I can’t understand why people think it would do better than this with a 2.6 lead in from Revenge. It would do as bad as 666 Park.

  • S.

    Scandal would have a back 9 if it was performing well considering the weak starts of all the new shows and the fact that Private Practice already got canceled. It’s slot math 101. ABC premiered 3 new dramas that are not putting out a solid performance, already canceled one old show and has 4 dramas in for mid-season. If Scandal was considered a player it should have been getting 9 more episodes right now, if only to plug a very potential hole.

    Shonda saying that it was planned as 13 episodes is Shonda doing what she does best, lying to the fans. Saying it was planned as 13 is just to save her face and the reputation of her favorite show.

  • GKguy

    @Petar Ivanov: Stfu man! Nobody below 18 are relevant in ratings.

  • robin

    @jan

    clearly your the one who doesn’t know anything about ratings because those ratings for TVD are great especially on a network like the CW where its also the highest rated show on the network.

  • Nadine

    @Phil
    A tenth is a couple of Nielsen families. Can change on a whim. Someone went to bed early.
    Adjustments have nothing to do with Neilsen families. And I’m amused at the way you’re trying to fend off the realities of statistics.

  • Nadine

    Scandal does look pretty pathetic.

  • Nadine

    @Andrew
    Baseball playoff ratings are low. Maybe next year Fox should give up the postseason contract and CW should pick it up. 1.6 would be great for the CW.
    :-)
    But then what would Fox do? They’ve tried everything…

  • Susan

    Glad Grey’s was adjusted up. So far, it’s the week’s number one drama for the third time, just in front of Revolution (3.4 vs 3.3), and unless OUAT surges to a 3.5+ on Sunday, it should be good.

  • Tyler

    Dang VD was great last night! Good ep, Great numbers. CW is on a roll this year!

  • Joe

    @Petar Ivanov

    Still will be best scripted and writen show on network tv.

    scripted and written are pretty much the same thing
