oh and BTW @ EVRERYONE
a show doesnt have to have 88 episodes to syndicate, just saying. there is no reason nikita should be renewed, absolutely none.
@ superpop
im not angry just annoyed. if i were a nikita fan, i would want the show canceled too. those are beyond embarassing numbers, i wouldnt want my show to continue to suffer like that
@Michael–Mark Pedowitz has good taste.
Cancel Nikita now! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
“i wouldnt want my show to continue to suffer like that”
What does that nonsense even mean?
Very well deserved for Nikita. Could not be happier
I don’t understand why people are not watching NIKITA. It’s fairly a good show. So so much better than those teen dramas that do so well.
Alright, I caught up with Nikita yesterday and I was actually incredibly upset. They completely changed the show into a procedural and it feels like a cop show. I got into a bunch of arguments last year supporting the show, but I’m really disappointed in the season 3 premiere.
Maybe I just need to see them have an actual conflict (with Amanda) in order to get the old feel back, but the season 3 premiere felt like cop show 101 to me. I also really hate how much the Mikita fans are controlling the show. Nikita and Alex were the duo I wanted to see, and although I like Michael, I dislike when it’s Mikita 24/7 for every episode. The whole “everyone knows me so I can’t do undercover work” from Alex really got on my nerves because that basically implied that Alex and Nikita will rarely work together on a mission.
Very, very disappointed in Nikita’s writers.
@rob680990–Ringer or Secret Circle? Which of these shows do you blame Nikita for killing?
baseball actually did really good for a friday night…
grimm seems like it always gets adjusted up
Gossip Girl got sold eventually and ‘Til Death is still on WGN, so :/
@superpop just because you hate this show a doesn’t mean get cancelled so get over your high horse people like you make me sick but you know its okay these a lot of you out there show when you show get cancelled don’t get mad at the network get mad at yourself for watching it
@Rob680990 are you really asking a stupid question Nikita is not responsible for circle and ringer to get cancelled how does that even get outta your mouth oh really now really
Nice little bump for Grimm. Consistency is a good thing.
@superpop but you did say you wanted cancelle you could be an idiot sometimes nothing wrong with that
Nikita will be done after this season. I don’t think the netlet will like seeing 0.0-0.1s from a fourth season.
In Grimm’s case, the lack of competition on Fridays cancels out any benefits from putting it on a more-watched but more competitive night like Monday. There may be fewer viewers around on Friday nights, but there’s less to watch as well. Primetime is not scripted and total counterprogramming, and CSI:NY, Fringe and Nikita are all on life support, and their days are numbered. And now that the loyal fanbase of Supernatural is thriving on Wednesdays, Grimm is undoubtedly picking up the overlap between the two shows. It’s ratings are stronger and steadier than they were in the last half of last season. I still think NBC made a mistake dumping the show on Fridays to start, it had a lot more ratings potential than the network gave it credit for. But it’s working out all right, and with the night pretty to itself with no other contenders, it should just be left here at this point. The slot will likely become competitive again in the future, but for now it’s a sweet spot.
Supernatural, on the other hand, totally capitalized on a change to the most competitive weekday slot on the schedule. WOOT! \o/ I’m glad it’s us who ventured out there and moved off graveyard night.
Shame for Nikita.
What I think they should do (for syndication) is turn Nikita into a summer show. Let it play out this season, then hold it off for Summer 2014 and 2015. That way they still get the show into syndication before 2016, and they can put some more pilots on to the schedule
I mean, I love seasons 1 and 2 of Nikita but that premiere really upset me. It’s a completely different show.
@Mickey:
I think there’s more to be gained by a move for “Grimm” than there is to be lost. As much as it is helping on Fridays, it’s probably more important for NBC to fix Wednesdays, which is a more high-profile night for ads. I doubt it loses much, either based on what it was doing on Fridays, or for NBC based on what was in the slot it would take over, not unless it goes up against, say, “NCIS.”
There’s not a lot else like it on basic television right now, and it’s still a young show with a subject matter that could get the same sort of people that go for “The Walking Dead.” I doubt it will happen this season, and it might never happen at all, but NBC should really consider moving it.
People are really angry in here. It’s strange.
