Flopita.
Embarrassing show, embarrassing fans.
@Brian J
I don’t think Wednesday is a good spot for Grimm. At 8 it would be up against Arrow and at 9 against Supernatural again. Competing for the same audience is stupid. Like you say, there isn’t much like it on the sked at the moment, but to capitalize on that, you don’t go putting it up against the other shows that are like it. It would be smarter to go for counterprogramming instead.
In any case, I don’t think NBC will move it again, seeing as it didn’t gain in ratings during its run on Mondays. Maybe if its ratings go up this year it might consider it for next year, but I’m guessing they’re taking a “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” approach. It’s winning its slot on Fridays, so it’s hard to argue with that.
I’m disappointed with those ratings but that’s what you get with no promo. I know some people that missed the premiere because they didn’t even know it would be on. Well I hope the ratings improve with time so it could get a fourth season for syndication. If not, I hope the writers give the show a proper ending this season, otherwise I would be really disappointed with the CW (one more time)…
Lyreco, youre forgetting 90210 ,which will have 100 episodes this season and I’m sure Pedowitz will get it syndicated like GG and VD which will have 88 episodes at the end of this season, Pedowitz will try to syndicate that too.Both those reach syndication numbers before Nikita and had better ratings longer.
I’m not a fan of The Secret Circle and I gave up on Ringer after a few episodes. Both shows deserved cancellation as does Nikita. As for why I trash it, I don’t appreciate being called names by several of their crazy fans.
@Marcelo- Nikita had plenty of promotion before the premiere. I watched Arrow and Supernatural Wednesday and there were at least 3 promos for it aired in those two hours alone. I don’t watch anything else on the CW, but I assume there were ads during the Thursday shows also (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong). But really, how much promotion is necessary for a show to get before people notice it’s on? I don’t watch it and I was well aware of its premiere night.
@Brandy
TVD will have *89* episodes after this season
@CrimTV
How so? I thought Kevin and Julie refuse to go beyond 22 episodes per season due to limited production time?
Antm is doing well considering it is the show’s 19th cycle, it’s doing WAY better than 90210, gossip girl and sadly nikita.
Oh my god, I wish Nikita was cancelled. I don’t hate it, but where are the Nikita fans that want 90210 cancelled? If Nikita keeps pulling numbers like these, 90210 has a better chance of being renewed.
ouch CSI: NY third place
good Grimm!!! the best way to end my Fridays nights.
Nikita does not HAVE to be renewed. If the network is losing money, if the studio is losing money, if the dvds aren’t setting the world on fire and most importantly… what cable network would bother to pick up such a low-rated show in syndication?
Grimm is down a tenth from the past few weeks, no? What’s all the hubbub?
WOW for such a low rated show, Nikita certainly was some hardcore fans and some hardcore enemies.
Lyreco, don’t believe the spin.
And syndication does have everything to do with ratings. That’s why outlets pay top $ for top-rated shows like Big Bang Theory and Seinfeld and the bottom-rated shows maybe have a quick pop somewhere and then fade away. Adding in the complication that I assume it’s a serialized show, that’s death in syndication. So tell me, who would spend money on Nikita? Do they cheap it out to sister network TNT? What networks have similar shows that have done so poorly nationally?
Someone name a turkey that is continually renewed because it does well internationally? Do international markets even need dozens of episodes? Don’t many countries make short-run shows so that their viewers are accustomed to “less is more?” It’s not the same as the theatrical business where action films get cranked out because they do well internationally.
No network renews a show that is going not only drag it down, but especially a network at death’s door.
Back up your claims with links to proof, Lyreco.
Hopefully Shark Tank will continue to perform well when it moves to 9.

There was at least two “Nikita” promos that aired during “The Vampire Diaries” (and I was skipping the ads, but still saw those two so there might’ve been more), but then “Nikita” fans have almost always blamed “Nikita”s lack of ratings on lack of promo when that’s just not true. What’s true is that for whatever reason “Nikita” just doesn’t appeal to the typical CW audience.
As for the will she/won’t she – I fall into the camp that believes despite sucky ratings “Nikita” will get at least a 21 episode final season, but after that 0.3 premiere I believe a “Nikita” season four will air as a summer show/burn off and not during the broadcast season, but I do believe the WB will insist on a forth season.
@F
That’s because you’re a sad, sad little man.
Was hoping Nikita would go up but I guess no adjustment is better than being adjusted down.
I hope NBC will have this schedule by midseason
