Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Once Upon A Time garnered a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating, up from last week’s 3.0. Most of your predictions were too pessimistic!

I took the poll and the majority percentile guessed 3.0-3.2. So we were off by a lousy tenth. At least we were correct in guessing ABC’s core Sunday shows, “Once Upon a Time” and “Revenge,” would be up this week, so the majority was CORRECT there !!! ;)

And for the haters, both shows continue to amaze me with fresh, incredible stories. Introducing Captain Hook, and a young, swash-buckling one to boot, was a stroke of genius on “OUAT”, connecting even deeper into the Disney vault. Can Peter Pan be far behind?!

And “Revenge” had 2 good plot shockers in a row, this week and last. I am ALWAYS impressed when any story – TV, movie or otherwise – surprises me, and this show consistently does that, Daniel not really being dead being the exception (thankfully). The Graysons welcoming Amanda into the fold, albeit falsely, and getting back together last week was shocker # 1. Emily’s mother trying to kill her as a child in a moment of psychosis made my mouth drop last night (though Faux-manda’s fall was given away in the promos if you slowed your DVR down enough)! As long as the writers and show-runners of this series keep dishing out juice like this. “Revenge” should be on for many years and make a nice complement to “OUAT.” Before these 2 shows, I NEVER watched TV on Sunday nights. Now I have joyful reason to! :)

Sunday Night Football in Mid-October has always been a soft spot. NBC seems to get a match up or two of teams under achieving at this point and before the flex games begin.

  • forg

Glad OUAT’s ratings rose, falling to 3.0 last time made me worry a little

  • PV

@Cheryl Really? So it makes Scandal ratings look worse.

“Oh please don’t give us the nonsensical BS. You are exactly who we say you are. You post the same way that idiot posted last year, so you two are one ane the same or you”re just a follower of the original. Plain and simple.”

@Johnny C, yes, but unless he’s going to a lot of trouble, that wouldn’t matter. On the other hand, going through that trouble makes them immune from our methods.

  • Bumfuzzled

I kept flipping to find the start of the Good Wife. Great episoide. The football run over hurt the ratings….

  • Ultima

I kept flipping to find the start of the Good Wife.

The exact start time is posted on CBS’ twitter feed, it literally takes ten seconds to look it up.

The football run over hurt the ratings….

NFL doubleheaders on CBS have almost no effect on the ratings of The Amazing Race and The Good Wife. 60 Minutes gets huge boost and The Mentalist performs worse due to most of it airing outside of primetime.

YAY @ AbC! everything is up!

  • DarkSebastian

    Where is The Mentalist’s rating??

  • Grimman

I at least hope 666 lasts the who season 1. I hate it when they have to cancel before they air them all. I am pretty much watching it like a mini-series just hoping for at least a finish if not a season 2.

  • Methix

umm wth was hawaii five 0 even on tonite

  • GK

The Mentalist is getting screwed over by CBS! Such a wonderful show and they are ruining it! 666 is getting better as well.
I saw 10 episodes in season 1 of OUAT. I liked it, but thought it was too family friendly. Is it still as such or did it improve into darker tones? And I see lots of other guys liking Revenge. Hmmm. Maybe I should give it a try.

  • Alex

@GK It gets darker sometimes, but the more important is that it gets much better in the second half of season one-

  • Mike

I would say it has darker tones in season 2 and a few later episodes in season 1, but you’d have to watch it yourself to judge what is dark.
