Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC (NFL Football), CBS (Football Overrun) & FOX (MLB Baseball) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

NBC was number one among adults 18-49, but CBS won with total viewers.

On NBC, Sunday Night Football (Steelers-Bengals)  from 8:30-11:00PM earned a 6.0 adults 18-49

Most of your predictions were too pessimistic! Revenge scored 2.8, up  from last week's 2.6 adults 18-49 rating. 666 Park Avenue scored a 1.8, up from last week's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating.

On CBS, the start of all primetime shows were delayed approximately 57 minutes due to Football overtime, increasing the likelihood that the ratings will be adjusted in the finals. From 7-8PM,  NFL Football earned a 7.6 adults 18-49 rating. 60 Minutes earned a 3.5 adults 18-49 raitng The Amazing Race earned a 2.3, down three tenths from last week's 2.6 adults 18-49 rating and a new low for a fall original. Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @bill gorman stfu not funny

  • THE OLD MAN

    @ Eugenius

    Are you a fan of TGW or not? I must say I was wondering how you were coping w/ that 57 minute delay.

  • Mary

    @Bill Gorman:

    Are you the real Bill? Because Bill normally prints in a differnt color font and, more importantly, I don’t see why ABC would cancel a show now with a 2.8 rating.

  • JR

    Yay for OUAT. Now we can relax easy- I was worried that it would be pulled after last week’s showing.

    Not. :)

  • HB

    @Max @Bill Gorman

    Keep Dreaming guys!

  • greysfan

    @MAX

    You are a bloody fool. Revenge is doing very well in the timeslot and is doing a lot better than a lot of other shows on the air right now.

    So happy for Once going up too. Last night was great and next week looks awesome.

  • Vance

    Robert Carlyle really elevates Once Upon A Time. Episodes focusing on him are typically much better than that of the rest of the series.

  • HB

    @Mary

    He’s just a troll..Ignore :D

  • David

    To me, Revenge is what Melrose Place was in the 90′s. A fun addictive soap you can talk to your friends about the next day. Although it’s not quite as campy and over-the-top as Melrose, it’s more cerebral.

  • Holly

    @Mary,

    Of course he’s not the real Bill Gorman. He’s a troll.

  • JONNYSBRO

    Oh HELLS yes about Once Upon a Time/Revenge. This IMO was the smartest combo decision ABC made. Wouldn’t anyone agree they would make a stellar combo on ABC Sunday for years to come. ABC kind of did some risking moving Revenge from its timeslot Wednesday which it did very well but ABC knew they needed a good show to replace DH that held that slot for 8 years. Revenge last night was WOWSA. Are Once Upon a Time and Revenge guaranteed third season renewels? Also 666 Park Avenue thats encouraging its demos jumped 20 percent. Hopefully ABC is patient with this show. Just be patient and give it time. Honestly 666 Park Avenue might work well after Shark Tank on Fridays to go against Grimm. Honestly let it keep growing.

  • THE OLD MAN

    @ r0ckmypants

    The Mentalist aired in Pgh @ 10:57

  • matthew

    The Mentalist was really good last night

  • riley

    OUAT was cool last night! and I enjoyed the Mentalist too.

  • OMG

    I am cautiously celebrating for Revenge. Despite Sundays at 9pm being the most watched timeslot in the week, the saturation of television programmes in that slot can easily make it quite tough to get a good piece of the pie.

    Football, FOX Animation (that is still very popular), Revenge, The Good Wife plus the incredibly competitive cable shows are all established at 9pm such as The Walking Dead, Dexter and Boardwalk Empire.

  • Joe

    ONCE was amazing

  • LT

    Lol @Max. Good job troll good job. People still reply to him. Revenge is doing good by everyone’s standards.

  • Simon

    @JR
    Why would they pull it? Even though it was down last week it was still a pretty good number.

  • hmm

    Maybe CBS should have waited to air Mentalist until another day. Starting at 11 PM is hardly going to be good for ratings.

  • OMG

    Max has always claimed that he/she is not a hater. If you want a show to get cancelled, that is THE definition of the word hater in the TVbytheNumbers universe.

    So stop pretending to be objective. We are all subjective people but at least we are not hypocrites.
